It’s the connection of people, the way your young boys cuddled you and stroked your belly, how tender your husband was with them and you. The woman tribe you’d surrounded yourself with, how they guided you and supported you and celebrated with you. Your older sons hug before you left.

This is incredible. I love how you went to hospital, popped the baby out after ten minutes and then took your baby and went home 😂. And not only that you were able to hug friends and family. This is sadly unheard of in this day and age by institutions that put so much fear into people they think the only way is a hospital birth led by doctors who dont give you time to labour peacefully. This is more prominant in America. Thanks for sharing and very well done ❤

This video is so touching. Your boys being next to you and cuddling you. I love the way you just caught your baby. You look like a pro 😂, so natural. On a personnal note, I would like to thank you very much. I read your book and it was life changing. It gave me so much more confidence and I was able to have a positivr home birth with my second baby even though our loved ones were all far away. Thanks a lot Siobhan ❤

I’m due my 2nd baby in 2.5 weeks, first planned home birth 🤞🏻🤞🏻my first was a induction at hospital so this time feels very different. Thank you for this video, it’s so beautiful and so empowering.

I found your book as an audiobook when I had my second during 2020, I’m now about to have my third child and I never realised you had another baby! I’ve just found this video and wow, seeing this brought tears to my eyes. You helped me so much during a difficult pregnancy with my second and a slightly not to plan birth still became a positive experience thanks to you! The minute I knew we had another on the way yours was the only voice I have wanted to hear talking me through and I’ve actually listening to your book again 4 times already haha, congratulations!!! Beautiful and congratulations! I followed your videos during my pregnancy and found them very helpful. My boy was 2 weeks overdue just as the pandemic and lockdown began, so I had an induction due to lack of midwife availability. I did find the hypnobirthing tools helpful still, but the pain of induction led me to an epidural and forceps delivery. Amyway, we are both well now! X
This was beautiful! I’m confused by what you mean when you say there weren’t enough midwives bc it looks like there were 4 people at your house? But maybe they weren’t all midwives..
Thanks for watching! The people at the house were Siobhan's support network. There weren't any midwives available at the time to come to Siobhan's house, so with the knowledge she had at the time she made the decision to go to the hospital x
Yes they were my friends and family ❤ When we initially called the hospital they said someone might be able to come. Then they said nobody was available but perhaps someone might be able to start their shift early or come in, as they were understaffed. Then we were told after 10pm someone would be able to come out. I went to hospital just before 10pm as couldn’t wait any longer. She was born at 8 mins past 😅 Narrowly avoided a car birth! X
