imagine if they never wasted aki’s potential and put more effort and development in psychic duelists rather than completely forgetting about them after the dark signers arc which will contribute a lot to the storyline and maybe help in saving neo domino at the very final arc with akiza leading them all, that’s some epic shit
The problem isn't so much "they forgot" as much as 5Ds was meant to end with the Dark Signers arc. They never intended to do more but the series was too popular.

People speculate its the fact the writers of the show changed after around episode 60 and the new writer openly admitted he was not good at writing female characters (he also helped write the last couple seasons of the og show which is why I think Mai's character is so bad in the later seasons) so people think he purposefully focused more on Crow because he was easier to write for, also the Blackwing archetype took off in the actual game irl so I think they decided to focus more on him because his cards were popular which is a shame because black rose dragon is also a really good card a lot of people use. Its honestly a crime how much they drew her character short when she was introduced so strongly and help carry the story for almost 60 episodes.

i mean alexis rodes is nice to i like how she is so straight forward then the other girls about liking the MC though. But i like how towards the end of 5d's they made akiza even hotter.

Yeah sure it was mostly because the blackbirds were getting popular (don’t get me wrong I love Crow and his deck) but seriously, instead of making her the next Anzu (only Aki could duel) I would have loved to see more of her awesome dueling and physic powers. I mean yeah, sure she was able to learn how to turbo duel as well, but that didn’t last very long either, like for three episodes and such. It just didn’t last very long honestly…

Akiza (Aki) is the best looking and the best female lead duelist in Yugioh. And i'd say that Aoi Zaizen from Vrains is a close second. In both looks and dueling skills

Akiza was truly a great duelist and meant to be the Third of the most powerful duelist in Team 5D'S, but that changed for one reason. The EXPLOSIVE numbers of sales they made in cards and booster packs thanks to everyone wanting to get Crow's Blackwing deck. When they noticed how popular those cards had become compared to any other duelist, they made a midway change to Crow being the Third best and even let him help Yusei and Jack duel Goodwin instead of Akiza. Making her the cheerleader instead to keep those sales coming as they made more Blackwing cards to keep up the sales. In short, Akiza has LOTS of potential they sadly let go to waste for profit off of Crow's Deck getting better as the episodes continued. It sucks and personally I'm annoyed at this, but sadly there is little I can do about this screw up on their end. 5D'S as an anime could've been SO much more better if they only stayed to their original plans to keep Akiza as an important part of the strongest trio in the team.

In some languajes the name Aki can cause problems. For example Aki sounds like here in Spanish I guess they wanted to avoid some problems when translating the series even then is a bit weird since Akiza sound pretty Japanese to me.
