My plan always has been to get this on sale when the time comes. I think this could have been better if they changed all of the models and not just Ankylodocus's. Say what you want about the Spinoraptor and Stegoceratops, but imagine if we got a Spinoraptor with a more up to date Spinosaurus features like the tail and maybe give it some feathering or you can give it the quills like the JP3 raptors too. Perhaps a Stegoceratops based on the concept art would have been cool to see. This DLC really is missing a flying and aquatic species though, something I can't ignore.
Decorations themed around the hybrids would have been a wonderful thing for this update. If they weren't going to change the Stegoceratops and Spinoraptor much, this is what I think they should have done. After all, it opens up a spot for other hybrids.

Yo! Leech here, was the guy who had no dlcs for jwe2 and compared ankylodocus with saltasaurus, amazing video bro!

Honestly I bought the dlc just in the hopes that the money goes towards an expansion or big update. Also there is the chance that maybe the update just wasn’t done in time.

I mean i think we all live in hope of another expandions before the game ends development but I have a strong suspicion that we wont.

From what im aware, in sandbox mode if you play with research off you should have them unlocked from the start. If you play chaos theory or challenge modes you will need to unlock them by satisfying the research requirements

Agreed. Wholeheartedly, I’m happy the players who wanted more hybrids in the game got to scratch that itch of theirs with this pack. But, and this coming from someone who conceptually doesn’t mind hybrids, I think it’s silly to be paying for a creature pack where 75% of it (minus a single redesign) are creatures we’ve had before and already paid for in the previous game. With the exception of the Spinoceratops, Frontier should’ve implemented the previously existing hybrids in the base game at launch.
    Me no buy.

*Nods* i think thats the main issue with this pack. We all wondered why JWE2 released without them in the rooster...i guess we know why now. So they could sell them back to us.

The only value this pack has for me is that replacement mods will come out for the species to be replaced by real ones. I like how far the modding community has come but new species still have some issues so i just stick with replacement overhauls.

I appreciate this more level take on the pack. And being someone who brought up some of the points stated here back on the stream, I won’t deny feeling a bit vindicated.
Almost certainly wont be buying this DLC however. I never cared much for hybrids, and much prefer real species to populate my parks. Hoping the future brings more accurate, beautifully designed dinosaurs like the packs before this one did.
    And Microceratus.

Yeah in the two weeks since release I wanted to have a more balanced look at the pack over all.
