I have never heared of this game before, thank you for showing us.
You're welcome. If you'd like to see it available to buy digitally one day, please consider voting for it on the GOG community wishlist.
my friend got me this for my birthday when i was a kid. I was first a little disappointed because i didn't care for star trek at the time but it blew me away. I would play it again if it was available
I forget how many games like this occupied me over the years. It's cool that the Klingon's led the way for Star Trek games - this being their first FPS and Klingon Academy appearing before the Federation version.
I thought Starfleet Academy was first then Klingon Academy. That's why KA had so many more graphical enhancements over SA.
Seeing this feels like a fever dream, a neighbor had this back when I was a kid but since I didn't hear about it for literally two decades, I assumed it was a dream or false memory.
I always knew it was real.
just never could put a name to until now.
News to me, never knew of this game! Thanks so much bro. Q'apla!
Duke Nukem on the final frontier!
@1:26 You think Worf would be the obvious choice? To protect Gowron??? Worf *killed* Gowron.
I mean in general because he's the most famous Klingon but, yeah, not the first choice I'd send on a revenge mission for Gowron. >_>
he was friends with him for a long time though
Damn, id loved to have this game when it came out
I remember playing this game when it first came out.
My PC... was not up to the task.
It ran in a blistering 5 FPS, dropping to seconds per frame if it got choppy. Had to play it with god mode on just to be able to get through the levels.
An excellent review, you've earned a subscriber.
Thank you! Glad to have you on board. 🙂
Loved this when it came out!
I got the demo of this and Klingon Academy but never got the full games (dunno why - maybe not available in my country or I had not enough money or... whatever reason a 12 year old might have had). Now this one I found cool but never regretted not having. Klingon Academy though - that still is a blow. Wish I'd played it.
It is pretty cool but maybe Gog can work something out with the publishers and get this game working on modern systems.
this is awesome
I remember finding the demo on random demo disc from random gaming magazine. Game was running horrible on my old (first) PC. Then found full game years later and finished. Both really dark no matter which setting.
Nice to see game on Unreal engine before Unreal was released.
🖖Live Long and May the Force be With you
CORRECTION @Benkii, This is one of the 2 Star Trek games with the M-rating which could be the only 2 properties of Star Trek with an R-rated like content!! To be honest, I don't see these games any more violent than any T-rated game like Destiny!
Indeed there are 2 M-Rated Star Trek games. The other one is the FMV adventure Star Trek Klingon (which I also made a video on). But I labeled this video "The only M-Rated Star Trek "FPS" Game" so technically it's still true.
@@BenKii hmm... Your Right, I just notice the FPS on the title!! Can you send me link to check your other video out!

We need a civvie11 episode on this
Sounds great
It does seem like a game right up his alley.
I recon him mentioning this game more than once so - who knows...
Thaths cool^^
Live long and prosperity
It definitely nails the st atmosphere
Hope it will find its way to the GOG.
Don't forget to call everyone else Dishonorable after using your cheats. Its the Klingon Way.
For honor! (The dishonorable way). 😄
It is on Unreal engine (the first one, lol). Just for reference for how it plays / feels. It has that Nukem spirit of design, but not the maps or engine.
Imo, a mediocre game that had a few unfair/savescum passages. Elite Force 1 and 2 were more to my taste.
But as mentioned, great ST ambience and basically the only game that I know of that is worth to play that centers on Klingons.
To Suto'vo'qor!
I need a Remaster. Like Turok 1&2.
Seems like the perfect job for Nightdive Studios.
Is it wrong that I actually enjoyed this piece of veQDuj? LOL
"Unfortunately"
It's free to download, how is that unfortunate? It's not like the original devs will be getting any money from new sales.
I believe you are referring to abandonware. That's a bit of a legal grey area. Regardless, a remaster that fixes some of the bugs and gets it to work natively on windows 11 would be great.
They don't offer this on Steam?
Unfortunately, it isn't available to buy anywhere digitally. :(
u never played Elite Force 2 then
Indeed I have. Best Star Trek game ever. But it was rated T for teen even though you could still vaporize everyone.
@@BenKii EF2 had more ass then Leisure suit Larry lol
@@vitorbonifacio3550 Ohh, I know what you're talking about. You mean that half dressed alien lady Kleeya. I remember you could choose either her or your starfleet friend Telsia as Romance options.
@@BenKii also there was some half nakid a;iien entertainers on a level
@@vitorbonifacio3550 Yup, that too.
