Hi, i have a TH8S, the game doesn't see it even if it's connect it via usb or directly in the T248 wheel. In FH5, the game see the shifter in usb (but not directly in the wheel) and it works fine but in ETS 2 it's like it's not there.
I cannot get my TH8A shifter to work in ETS2 at all, using the USB connector as I have a newer thrustmaster steering wheel that is incompatible with the shifter. The game does not correctly handle different gear positions as it says it should. Gear positions 1 and 3 and 2 and 4 both act for gears 1 and 2 respectively, for whatever reason, and even worse, gear positions 5 and 6 do gears 3 and 4, and the toggle just makes this mess even worse.
is the wheel perfectly synced with the game like 1:1 because its look off when you do half a turn and the game wheel i a bit less it seems or is that just the recording?
yeah it is off in the video, because the settings in the Thrustmaster control panel were off (I believe I had it set to 700 degrees instead of 900). Otherwise it is perfectly synced with the game.
i have a tmx and whenever i turn my wheel past 300°, it just automatically turns all the way to 900° even though it is only turned 300°. but 0-299° works perfectly fine. i just need help after 300°
Did you try it with Eaton 18 gear transmission? I have T150 Pro and wonder how would it look like and it's worth upgrading from auto gearbox (manual doesn't make sense on paddles) ;).

A few things: Are you plugged in properly? Shifter should be connected to your PC with USB. Did you select it in devices? And are you engaging all the way?
Is this wheel easy to set up in the thrustmaster software? I bought the Logitech G920 but I didnt like that wheel so i sold it, and I want to buy this. Is the wheel really stiff. Do you really need the software for this wheel or can it be just plug in and play?
You do need to at least download the software, but don't really need to use it unless you need to change stiffness etc. It's a pretty simple wheel to use although I would say the G920 would have been made of better quality, as this is just plastic with metal paddle shifters.
I don't know what i got myself in to. i have a Thrustmaster pro racing wheel, thrustmaster shifter like yours and a after market shift knob with splitter. what is a Jacke brake? is that another peice of equipment for more realizim? What kind of setup are you making, Is that for automatic? Please answer.
Jake Brake is just an engine brake, it slows the truck down using the engine. The game calls it a retarder. I only use a button for it no extra equipment needed. You should be fine with your setup all you have different than me is the shifter. I play manual and you should be able to also.
It's pretty good. I just don't use it because I don't have a great desk/mount for my wheel and the force feedback is pretty strong. Its possible to get it lower but I just don't mess with it.
I have the same wheel, but when I turn its not smooth like in your video, what do you do to make it smooth ? I'm not talking about the ets 2 steering its good, but my wheel fels not smooth when I turn.
please explain "half-clutch." If you mean you dont want to push the clutch in all the way, then yes you can change the "clutch range" by moving the slider. You can see the slider at 8:03
The issue that I’m having with my wheel just recently is that I’ll set everything up and then go drive but the response from the wheel to the game is off. How do I fix it? I’ve tried adjusting the steering wheel sensitivity and I haven’t had any luck.
ShaunD. I have my steering non- linearity all the way to the left. My steering sensitivity is 3/4 of the way to the left. I also have my steering axis dead zone all the way to the left. Every time I turn the wheel it’s real slow, like when I’m driving and I make a turn my steering wheel it’ll take a second before it realizes and then suddenly turn in that direction. It seems like it’s lagging in a way.
@@ShaunD the more pricey options use gear only, the tmx uses belt and gear hybrid. The cheapo wheels use belt only. The tmx is smoother than the logitec g29 because of its belt hybrid. If you want smoother you are going to need to go for a direct drive wheel, like fanatec which is very pricey.
