The Big thing people are overlooking is that this is Year 1 of a new IU team, new staff, lots of new players. ND is in year 3 of its defensive identity and played elite offenses last couple years and this defense is better than either of the last two.
Incorrect about ND having the 2nd or 3rd best passing offense IU has seen all year. OSU is much better. Washington's is much better. Maryland's is better. Michigan State's is about the same. So ND is going to be about 4th or 5th.
Or since the B1G has 6 teams in the top ten against the run the running stats of the teams they played are swayed downward. Notre Dame has only played two teams which pass. Those two teams combined to pass over 600 yards. Stats can be impacted by schedule and that applies to both teams. This game truly is a mystery. Even everyone cherry picking the OSU game can be misleading. OSU figured out the silent count and blitzed a lot in the second half. I doubt they need to use the silent count or even would if it was loud.
ND was analyzed all season long, IU lost a lot more recent and against the only good team they played. Not saying NDs loss is not wild, just saying people have had more time to see growth. ND also won all their “big” matchups
Kanell has been hating Notre Dame all season mostly and has been wrong every time, lol they are going to crush iu, they have out performed their biggest test unlike iu.
@ and who have they played? You say it’s an awful take yet you are trying to sell the offense is great but against who? Lol how many wins does Indiana’s opponents have combined? Take out Ohio state and it’s even worse.
INDIANA HAS THE MOST LOSES IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL HISTORY-ZERO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS-PLAYED 8 TEAMS LOSING RECORD-9 TEAMSRUSHING OFFENSE-96TH OR WORST-GIVE ME A BREAK…..
If ND can't get to IU's QB, they can't stop IU's RPO offense. Notre Dame is too banged up. And what is ND going to do when they can't run on IU's rushing defense? Pass? Nope. Kick? Nope. I think they'll struggle to score. IU 42. ND 14.
LMAO both Army and Navy are better rushing teams than IU, and even they didn't run all over ND....just stop... ND's defense is arguably the best IU will face and they are going to get beat...
Indiana doesn’t have any playmakers close to Makai Lemon, Jakobi Lane and Zachariah Branch. IU offense will get exposed. Al Golden will make sure Rourke’s head will be spinning by the fourth quarter.
@ I have zero interest in showing you anything that you mentioned because neither team belongs in the playoff. They both have zero chance of winning the championship

USC was the #1 passing offense in the big 10 on per game basis.

IU has played teams whose run games all suck so IU run defense is a bit inflated.
You can say the same for ND pass defense.

Funny how everyone wants to analyze IUs 2 worst games but nobody wants to analyze NDs 2 worst games. Odd huh.

Lville same quality opponent as IU. Thats a terrible take

Biggest test exactly who would that be for ND?
Neither played an impressive schedule. My battle-tested Dawgs are waiting in NOLA.
@@porterosbournejr.5083 ND says they will see the Dawgs in NOLA and show you guys who’s the best team in college this year.
USC passing is way better than Indiana’s

5 common opponents USC IU. USC 2-3, IU 5-0 avg win by 21 lol
This is an absolutely awful take by someone who clearly never watched an IU game this year. IU has the 2nd best scoring offense in college football.

USC could be at IU honestly
@ USC with Maiava, Makai, Jakobi and Branch beats IU at the Coliseum.
ND was also missing three starters
Notre dame is not close to Ohio state, completely casual performance from this lot
