Finally got the opportunity to see Debbie a few nights ago in a small theater in Rhode Island. Excellent show over 2 hours and ended with this song which had the audience all singing along. She was my 1st crush ❤

I've applied the lyrics from some of these songs to multiple relationships, in my mind. That is, I have, over time. The songs have outlived all of those relationships. What I love about this one is that it's both innocent and optimistic, but also realistic. Even if "it may be just another closed door", sometimes we have to go for it, and are right to. And, even if we are wrong, at least we get to make our own "wrong" choices. Staying with the more secure option, perhaps in a relationship with which our families and friends approve, may be easier, but that life is for living.
