What an intriguing way of casting on…yet another way to do it that I hadn’t seen before. It never ceases to amaze me how many different version of achieving the same thing there are in knitting.
I’m trying this this evening for the first time. We’ve got a baby who was supposed to be induced 3 days ago but we’re still waiting to be called in so here’s a very nervous expectant dad trying desperately to fill the waiting time productively. :) P.S. I’ve already crocheted your booties pattern today and the scratch mittens on Saturday. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the easy pattern I sure will the set of needles when I get my check. See in a crocheter but have wanted too learn the hat in round. I donate the hats too my hospital for newborns.
Hi. Just came across your video and thought how wonderful this would be to make very easy to follow instructions. Some how no matter what I do or how I hold the yarn I can only make the purl stitch show up. Your hat has different stitch on the inside and mine looks like that on both sides. I'm desperately trying to get it to look like your one but it's not happing. Please help. I have four weeks to make as many as possible for my daughter. Bubble is due soon. Many thanks. Debbie.
Great tip I heard from someone somewhere at someplace in time “you can only make the stitch as small as the hook/needle you don’t need to pull it for dear life” and magically it’s helped
I’m looking forward to trying this pattern for my granddaughter due soon. I found 6mm circular needles but the smallest I found were 16 inches. Will that be too long? If so, where did you find your needles. Thank you!
Hi. Can you tell me where to find a US Size 10/6 mm circular needle that's 8 inches in length? I can't find it ANYWHERE! I've looked at all the local craft stores and all over online. I was trying to make this hat in the next couple of days!!! And if you have a link you could share, that's awesome! Thanks in advance!!!
thank you!! this is exactly the beginner tutorial i’ve been looking for to get me started with a small project. would love to see more like this

Hope your baby came and is well❤
@@stephiedrown795 he did and he’s amazing. :) he didn’t cry, he was talking away to the midwives and hasn’t stopped since!
You explained the long-tail cast on perfectly, I was clueless how to do it before. Thank you!
still my favourite colorway of yarn you created, what an adorable hat!!
Thanks Kandys ❤😊 it’s my fave too! (Well maybe the purple one also)

Well done! I easily can follow your spoken and visual instruction. I’ll make this for a new friend’s newborn.
Thats so precious
Thank you so much. I’m going to knit some of these, for my local hospital’s maternity/nicu units.
That's good to hear Sheryl. Thank you for sharing. Good luck 🥰
You went from row 25 to row 46am I crazy? How many rows are there total in this pattern I’m so sorry if I’m confused.
I am an experienced knitter and I feel the same way.
I think she meant to say 26 and accidentally said 46
I can't wait to try this! Can you post links to the yarns and needles?
Could you link the needles you used. I couldn't find 6" cord needles anywhere
Very nice demo
What’s longest cable cab use for this pattern?, in Uk can’t find any short enough ?
Can’t find anywhere yet in the US either.

Thank you so much! And to the men out there, keep the project loose. It's so tight at the moment I'm about to break the yarn. Fifth try for me!

Thank you for the tutorial! I cannot find the appropriate size of needles anywhere, though! Can anyone help?
I can’t either shortest I can find in Uk are 40cm .
What kind of yarn did you use? It looks like a bulky yarn?

Yes, too long I believe.

Where can I buy these circular needles?
Amazon or hobby lobby
Very sweet thank you...😃🧶
Alistair’s head grew too fast! Only got to wear this for a few days 😭
Hey if he wore it once, I’m satisfied lol
How can I make it bigger ? Do I do it in increments of five?
I need a link of the circular needles you used, i can’t find the size you use
