In Rekordbox you can't format USB, you need to do that via Disk Utility.

Hi dear,i had last week some problem at club with cdj2000 Nexus. I put my usb in but didnt work. Same usb i have used at home only 2 hours before on my xdj rx 1 Pioneer. I was so angry really. Why such things happening at Pioneers? If its happening bcz of Format,so how i used before same usb at home? Please give me some answer. 🙏🏼
How to do this with Windows ? I have been using RB for a year now. And for a strage reason do i have problems exporting music on to a new USB. I never format the USB ans use Sandisk.

Hey, I don't get the MBR option when I choose FAT ? Nothing appears underneath when I select FAT
you probably selected the partition on the drive, not the drive itself
@@DexxterClarkMusic I have the same problem too, I don't see the MBR option, no I didn't have an option underneath for me to choose the MBR
Apple has simplified the Disk Utility UI. What you'll need to do to get MBR to show up is to go to the top menu in Disk utility - View - - Show all devices and click that. The MBR option will then show up.

I have a huge problem... I formatted my new (!) usb since it didn't work with my old and it still doesn't show as a device.... Also I did all this Ventura thing.. still doesn't show... IM GOING CRAZY pls help.

@@DexxterClarkMusic ok thank you. I have followed the steps on my 1tb usb stick and so far seems to be working fine. Just exporting is slow, understandably. Although I am only putting 7gb worth of music on it at the moment.

Als je uw USB stick hebt geformatteerd met FAT32 dan kun je toch USB sticks van 64 of meer GB gebruiken?
dat is niet het punt. pioneer ondersteunt het officieel niet.

Ik heb dus een sandisk 128gb extreme go gekocht, maar de export vanuit rekordbox op mijn macbook (air m1 chip) is super traag. 1000tracks afspeellijst export duurt al uren
Use hfs+（macos journaled） instead，it would be significantly faster than this old FAT32 format.
I also have SanDisk Extreme Go 128 gb, it is the most terrible flash drive of all, you can throw it in the trash, I have old Extreme 3.0 and they still work perfectly, you need to buy extreme pro

Having the same problems. My 128gb works on my xdjrx but not on a cdj 2000

This didn't work for me.. USB still super slow. It's a brand new one too. So frustrating
slow, or just takes a lot of time because you have a lot of tracks.
Have you measured the throughput (MB/Sec) and compared that with the write speed of your drive?
For windows just format the usb drive by CMD. Better option

Dexxter Clark no I mean 128 GB drives vs 32 GB drives. You said use a 32 and didn’t really explain why. And I just got a 128 drive and it works sooo slowly with rekordbox that I’m wondering if that is a real issue. Any ideas?

@@DexxterClarkMusic There's no such limitation with FAT32 tho? You can use USB sticks in FAT32 format with up to 8 TB of memory on the CDJs. "Ask Pioneer or Microsoft" :D
