True, but only for the Summer months, and those items will not include every day items, like milk, bread, cereal, canned goods, etc. They will be "seasonal", items for Summer barbequing, and picnics. Like portable grills, grilling utensils, etc., mostly non-edibles.
I just made sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast biscuits for a lot cheaper than the Aldi ones in the box. Aldi has little round sausages (got these on sale), and biscuits (2) in can there too. Baked 10 scrambled eggs in a rectangular dish. I made them, cooled them, wrapped them in wax paper and froze them in ziploc baggies. I just used half a sausage patty. Got 16 biscuits. Saved about $8. They also have ham breakfast slices for biscuits at Aldi but they are high. Topped thise with a cheese slice. So good.
I do my own quick rice. I cook my rice, then I cook and rice cauliflower ( sometimes broccoli or spinach) and mix equal parts rice veggies and rice. Then I use a half cup measuring cup to scoop up the rice and press lightly on the top. I then turn them out onto parchment lined baking sheets and freeze them. When they are frozen I pop them off the baking sheet and put them in a gallon ziploc. I usually do a huge batch. They defrost quickly in the microwave and make a quick healthy side. Sometimes I do a Spanish rice version.
I have the trifecta of Aldi, Walmart & Sam's Club all in a row! We also have Meijer (just down the street). Yesterday Meijer had berries (blackberries, blueberries and strawberries) for 99 cents each!
Hi, Mindy, Dry yeast IS perishable. Look for an expiration date on the back of the package. (We store ours in the refrigerator.) ~ Pink is your color! It's my favorite color. 🙂
@@SeeMindyMomThe Aldi version tastes exactly like Premier Protein to me. I also use it as coffee creamer… as well as “milk” for SF Pudding Mix (to replace the 16oz milk which yields 3 servings of protein pudding). 🎉
If you grab a bag of pretzel crisps and the laughing cow dupe cheese wedges, you can use the pretzel like a chip and "dip" into the cheese. I have it every day for lunch and it's amazing! Also, Dollar Tree sells 1# bags of popcorn for $1.25, so $2.75 for 3#....until the price goes up, anyway.
We just tried the popfully popcorn the other day for the first time and loved it. i never thought about using the spray to add seasoning. We will have to try that.
2 of my Aldi favorites: 1) A large package of thin sliced deli ham (maroon container w a blue label)- uncurred with no nitrates or nitrites. It contains two sealed packs. I grill it a little and add it to scrambled eggs, put it on grilled cheese sandwiches, on crackers with sliced Swiss cheese, home made egg McMuffins, add it to potato soup, etc. 2) If you like the Starbuck’s bottled Frappuccino coffee drinks (which are now about $4!) try Aldi’s bottled Iced Latte’s. They are delicious, and come in 3 varieties. I like the Vanilla. $1.99 each- half the cost of the SB’s ones!
Your kids are growing up along with their appetite and changes in what they enjoy. This grocery haul definitely shows. I started watching when you were on ww. Love the channel.
Aldi's is definitely a better bargain compared to my Walmart. When we do our grocery shopping, we always hit up Aldi first and THEN get what we need from Walmart. It used to drive my hubby and kids crazy that we would go to multiple places for groceries, but when I gave them the receipt from Aldis to compare at Walmart, they realized that even though it might only be "small change" price difference on each item, the end total was "big money". The milk at our Aldis is over a dollar a gallon cheaper than the Walmart brand (!!!), but the flavor of it tastes sour to me, so that is the only item we HAVE to buy at Walmart.
Yes Mindy both my husband and I use the Elevation drinks. I like vanilla-- he.likes chocolate. I am diabetic and my blood work came back that I was low on protein so I liked the fact that they have 30 grams of protein but 1 of sugar. Hope you enj.
Yes! A new Aldi opened near my Walmart. And I noticed Walmart drops their prices compared to Aldi. In the end I always end up getting Walmart. Since I haven’t set up curbside pick up with Aldi…yet.
I like the canned chicken. It has more chicken and less broth than Walmarts and even name brands. I use that for fast casseroles if I’m in a hurry! Love all of your ideas! It is amazing you can feed so many with so little, and the variety is there. Nobody going hungry in your house!
We liked smoked paprika on popcorn and my partner used adobo too the last few times. It made for a sweet flavor with zero "sweeteners." The chemistry of flavor can be fascinating.
I got some on red tag near me. Placed in the freezer when I got home! I also like that the loaf is sliced in half. So you could easily do a French bread pizza!
I noticed that wal mart cheese was 1.77 just before hopping on this video! Interesting Aldi prices are so similar. One of my favorite ways to do quick meals is keeping rice on warm in our rice cooker. We make sticky short white rice and keep it on warm. So convenient for a quick burrito bowl or base for leftovers, egg bowls, air fryer salmon.
We love the coffee! It’s the BEST price around and very good quality. Also, we buy the thin cut pork chops, they are super inexpensive and they are in rotation once a week (breaded, pan sautéed in light olive oil and a squeeze with lemon). Teenager favorite. The produce is often the best deal around too.
Agreed on the produce. Save for a handful of items (like bananas...they are always terrible at my Aldi). That's a good rec on the pork chops! I'm trying to find some good recipes for those.
I just tried the rice enchiladas dish and wow! I tweaked it some because I had a caramelized onion dip instead so I added some onion to the rice and I used taco seasoning with frozen burritos and I added some sour cream too. It's so good!! Super easy to throw together, really easy to tweak to whatever ingredients you have on hand. Definitely gonna have this again.
My go to at Aldi is the veggies. My last trip I saw a come back of the onion dip packs as well as other new items like the pasta salad boxes you shared. I’ve recently started using the fairlife milk with my creamer to make it foam. Yes I’ll use the protein shakes in with my coffee as creamer. Their protein shakes don’t bother my stomach unlike the name brand does. I personally wish those companies wouldn’t use real milk. I like the stuffing olives. I feel the black container is comparable to the Too Good Greek yogurt. Just recently I decided to try the cottage cheese. I just wish I could get a bigger container like Walmart sells. One last thing so at my last trip I saw that the cranberry cheese from the holiday season is still available. I always thought it was only available during that time of year. I did forget besides the cranberry cheese my other favorite is the white cheddar cheese in the rectangular prism bar. It shreds so smooth and melts good.
Love Aldi. Pork carnitas are one of my favorites. Also the friendly farms brand of their dairy products is pretty good too. Clancy chips are a must when i go.😊
I love how much variety you have in your Aldi stores. In Australia we dont really have as many options. My one non negotiable Aldi item is the white bread its nice and soft and always freezes well.
I love using protein shakes for coffee creamer, too. Current fav is the Fairlife chocolate in iced coffee! I need to pick up some of that Olive Garden dupe dressing.
(Posting as Joyce) Hi Mindy!! I just want to say THANK YOU for all that you do. I love your videos and I have gotten so many great ideas, recipes and tips. I don't always remember to comment and like the video, because I usually watch these on TV. My favorite products from Aldi are the frozen meatballs and ravioli (Priano brand). These are the best frozen meatballs and the BEST ravioli that I have tried. I usually make this meal every other week, as it is one meal that my whole family likes!! Picky eaters!! Have a blessed day and wonderful weekend and keep up the great work!!! 🤩
Thank you, Joyce! Those are great picks, you’re right. The meatballs there are way better than the Walmart brand in my opinion! We do the tortellini a lot from there so I’ll have to try the ravioli soon. :)
I haven’t shopped at aldi in forever but I am loved Whole Foods right now! They’re vegan options are SO good. Very quality, very cheap, and I can do pick up! Never thought I woood shop there to save money! Definitely giving me one ideas!
Your Aldi must be amazing ! I never see half the things you find at our rinky dinky Aldi ! We need an upgrade in my small town !! I do shop there a lot and I really like most of their things so far. Your enchilada casserole looks really really good !!!
Aldi is my go to store, spent $92 there today. They have so many products we like but their produce is so much better than Walmart's. It is also fun to see their seasonal items, German week stuff, etc. I only go to Walmart if Aldi's is out or doesnt carry what I need.
We have both and have found that our Walmart is actually cheaper than Aldi's now. I loved shopping at Aldi's, have been shopping there for over 10 years, and still do occasionally if I am looking for specialty cheeses, but I have found myself shopping at other stores for sale items and the non sale at Walmart. I think some of our higher prices are due to the fact that we live near the beach, everything seems to be more expensive here.
❤ Aldi ❤Mindy I’ve been on a Bundt cake kick lately, inspired by your share/channel/recipe using your customizable formula: box cake, instant pudding, 1/2c sour cream, 4 eggs, 1/2c oil 1c water: I’ve tried the spice cake butterscotch pudding combo, a lemon, lemon a strawberry all great and gobbled up fast! Yesterday at Aldi I went for a chocolate version. Using their Devils food cake mix, chocolate pudding, I was planning on throwing in some chocolate chips to the mix but Aldi also had these Belgian chocolate chunks 👌🏼so I went for those, let me tell you it was tremendous 🥮. Ive been having fun with this base recipe, inexpensive, easy, crowd pleaser, fun to mix it up! Thanks for sharing. Happy early Mother’s Day Mindy! 🌷
I like the chocolate coconut bars from aldi. They support keto/low carb lifestyle. Love them for a snack and they taste just like almond joys! I also use the vanilla protein shakes in my coffee and i like them!
The frozen rice is definitely my favorite go-to. Aldi price beats my Kroger price hands down! And The price for pretzels at Kroger is $4.29 !! You must feel guilty for stealing them from Aldi! 😂 Looks like I’ll be visiting Aldi soon. Taco seasoning on popcorn is the game changer!
Hi Mindy, great video Love when you do Aldi, been wanting to try the dips you featured(garlic one), now will Thanks to you. Hard to pick just one thing Love at Aldi😊, but mostly just that in my area Aldi’s prices are by far the best bang for buck. Hope things well with you and all of yours. Take Care❤
I’m currently loving the Clancy brand chips. The flavor is called All Dressed. It’s a mixture of bbq sauce, vinegar and ketchup. I’m on my second bag!!!!!
This is just a suggestion but it would be great to see how many meals you could make for a week out of $17.50 using pantry ingredients as well. Bet you could make a good few meals for it.
At my Aldi they sell Lewis brand nutty oat 1/2 loaf bread for $1.88. Hands down the best bread ever. Kroger sells for over $2 and on sale for $1.99. It’s cheaper than Krogers sale! Give it a try if you can find it!
We LOVE Aldi! The only way we can keep our grocery budget in check with our growing family! We love their string cheese sticks, produce, frozen veggies, and so much more! Smiles, Abby Smith
Our Aldi is right down the street from a walmart and yes both prices are very similar. I do a walmart pick up on Sunday and then run into Aldi. We like their produce better and my dogs love their dog food brand turkey jerky. My mother loves the chicken salad 4 count cups. We buy breakfast sausage there. Cheapest in town 2.29 a pound. Sliced cheese was 1.75. Jellied cranberry sauce is .45 cents now a can. Expires in Dec 2024. They have tons. And then just grab anything that walmart was out of because I do no substitutions with them. Love the cookie dough. Also their brand chips and cookies. Really the only things we don't like is the frozen waffles and their vanilla yogurt.
I dont have any aldi favorites. I find so many great items there. I always love the cheeses without question and the " finds" are interesting and a good way to try new things
The Habanero cheese snack sticks are yummy. I don’t normally like anything spicy but these have a nice little kick to them. And the Aldi veggie straws are the best! Way better than the name brand. Their sourdough bread is good too.
The chipotle black bean burger patties and the meatless meatballs are a staple at our house! They also have the cheapest tofu outside of my WIC benefits around me. (For anyone that didnt know, WIC, at least in KY, allows you to swap out cheese or yogurt for tofu❤)
I used to buy the store brand protein shakes to use as creamer in my morning coffee, but too expensive for my budget now. I switched to soy or almond vanilla flavored milk instead. Good dinner idea, thank you!
Cinnamon rolls, cereals, freeze dried fruits, laughing cow pepper jack wedges, butter crackers, and the cinnamon crunch granola (tastes just like the nature valley cinnamon bars they don't make anymore)
I live in central Oklahoma and shop at. Aldi regularly. We have tried the Elevation Protein Drinks and like them better than thr brand at Walmart. Thank you for your channel.
Try those hashbrown rounds in a grilled breakfast burrito! I use the rectangle patties here but same concept. I reignited my boyfriend's desire to eat breakfasts. I make mine with veggie loaded tofu scramble, hashrown, and hot sauce. He gets the normal egg, cheese, and hashbrown 😊
Are the protein shakes good? I have tried the name brand ones when I had a rebate from Ibotta, but I didn't like the taste. I could try it in my coffee like you do... I already put collagen powder and pre/probiotic powder with honey or Stevia in my coffee but that would make a nice creamer too. Oh, and I tried Aldi's shelf stable ravioli last night for dinner with Prego alfredo sauce (the only jarred alfredo I'll eat), and they were good. They cooked up nicely and were tender. I will be buying those again - I like the option of shelf stable ravioli.
I WISH we had Aldi in Utah, but it's no where in the state! We have Smith's (Kroger) and several that are just in Utah--Macey's and Harmon's, plus Walmart and Target. I still watch your Aldi videos, but some of your others are more useful for me.
Big Ikea bags also work well. And I have a tip for everyone who bought frozen items: pack something hard on the bottom of the bag/basket, then your frozen items in the middle and top it off with bread, chip bags etc to insulate. This works pretty well if you do not have an insulating box.
You can absolutely make breakfast sandwiches cheaper than buying them pre-made if you make them 12+ at a time and it's easy! (and they are so much better?
My Aldi keeps running out of these Buffalo chicken flavored Macaroni and Cheese bites. You make them in the oven or air fryer and they are amazing. Someone else said the Pork Carnitas roast and I totally second it. It was so so good and cooked perfectly in the crock pot. My Aldo also carries Brekki, which is my favorite (but unfortunately hard to find) overnight oats. I have yet to find a flavor I don't like, but the Dark Chocolate is incredible. It is more like a pudding where ones like Mush are super grainy textured.
Really good recipes. You have great creativity when it comes to scrumptious recipes! Oh, I also don't care or like lobster either. There's not many of us out there. I heard its because we lack a certain gene to taste it. I say poohy, it just taste yucky.
Enjoyed the video very much, but I would have been curious to know the cost of the meal that you made..... It does seem like with buying both bags of tacos. This meal probably costs approximately twenty to twenty five dollars.... It seems like at aldi, there may have been less expensive options?
Looks like you scored some good stuff. I would be cautious about buying strawberries that are that big, though. Usually they are really pretty, but have no flavor because they have been allowed to be on the vine too long.
I just saw an article that said Aldi is planning on dropping prices to help combat inflation. 🤩
Music to my ears.

I can never get enough of Aldi's Cranberry Almond Chicken Salad... YUM!!!
Oh yeah I love this as well as with the pretzel chips.
I put the chicken salad on the croissants 👍🏻
Add avocado, delish!
I bought some recently and am now craving it.
The Olive Garden Italian dressing plus a little Worcestershire sauce and Italian seasoning, makes an amazing 24hr marinade for chicken breast.
Thanks! Great idea!
In my area Aldi beats Walmart on most items by 50 cents or more. I just started buying that Italian dressing. My family loves it.
We love the Asian style dressing.
I will have to try that one next.

As a German it is funny to see how much more convenient options Aldi in the US has
In the US, we're lazy. We like convenience stuff. Not our best quality.

Another viewer put me onto that trick!
I love your Aldi videos even though we do not have one. Silly, but it's like having hope for something more affordable. Happy weekend!
I pretty much love 95% of the things that are in my local Aldi and let me tell you if I had some money I could do some damage😊
I try to stick with my budget. If I don’t follow it I can really get out of hand.
Perfect timing, I plan on giving Aldi another try soon and will have to look for these items.
I hope you find some good deals and some great products! :)
We LOVE Aldi! The only way we can keep our grocery budget in check with our growing family! We love their string cheese sticks, produce, frozen veggies, and so much more! Smiles, Abby Smith
😭. Colorado needs an Aldi!!!! Have a great weekend ❤
Their version of “all-dressed” chips are amazing! Very flavorful!!!
The all purpose flour is as good or even better than Gold Medal flour . I used to believe nothing was better than that !
I like the protein shakes. Both flavors are good.
Thank you!
I love the Aldi protein shakes! I also love their Fiber One dupe
I was so excited for the lobster dip & I ended up thinking it had a weird aftertaste. Hope your hubby liked it more than I did.
My family loved it, and our houseguests were gonna stop on their way out of town to get more! 😂
The Habanero cheese snack sticks are yummy. I don’t normally like anything spicy but these have a nice little kick to them. And the Aldi veggie straws are the best! Way better than the name brand. Their sourdough bread is good too.
Aldi is my go to market. They don't have everything I need all the time, so I do stop at the larger markets too.
I like that coral pink sweater you were wearing so cute for spring!
Thanks!
Can you give us an update on whether you liked the new items that you bought?
Good to know!
Oh that’s a great tip! Thanks!
I have a few aldis around but none are close enough to be my go to. I may have to check it out after seeing this video!
They just closed the Walmart that was 12 miles away ($5, 4 buses and 3+ hours), a block from Aldi.
I WISH we had Aldi in Utah, but it's no where in the state! We have Smith's (Kroger) and several that are just in Utah--Macey's and Harmon's, plus Walmart and Target. I still watch your Aldi videos, but some of your others are more useful for me.
Happy early Mother's Day! Thank you bunches for the video and tips!!
Thanks so much!
We like their generic Doritos even better than the name brand. They’re so flavorful!
I wish I could get my hubby to like them 😂😂
Yes!
The price went down but the ounces did too on the cheese . Use to be 12 oz then 10 oz now 8
Girl. I've been bagging my Aldi groceries like a dodo all this time. Why didn't I think of a laundry basket??!!
Big Ikea bags also work well. And I have a tip for everyone who bought frozen items: pack something hard on the bottom of the bag/basket, then your frozen items in the middle and top it off with bread, chip bags etc to insulate. This works pretty well if you do not have an insulating box.
Aldi Southern California has chicken drum sticks 69 cents cucumbers 29 cents limit 2 jalapeños package 25 cents no limit tomatoes 45 cents a pound
Wow! What deals!
I love the carnitas roasts, I’ve mentioned those a few times and I’ll have to look for the Mac and cheese bites! Thanks!
You are so creative with your dishes! Have a great weekend!
Thank you! You too!
Really good recipes. You have great creativity when it comes to scrumptious recipes! Oh, I also don't care or like lobster either. There's not many of us out there. I heard its because we lack a certain gene to taste it. I say poohy, it just taste yucky.
I just find it doesn’t have much taste. Maybe I just haven’t had a good one prepared just the right way? I don’t know
It has no flavor to me. It just take like butter and whatever spices is put on it. So I’ll just do without it. 😊
Enjoyed the video very much, but I would have been curious to know the cost of the meal that you made..... It does seem like with buying both bags of tacos. This meal probably costs approximately twenty to twenty five dollars.... It seems like at aldi, there may have been less expensive options?
I love the turtles! I, like your kids, like them more than the goldfish. They are a touch lighter. 😊
Agreed!
Thats a good budget idea, to use those generic shakes as coffee creamer.
Looks like you scored some good stuff. I would be cautious about buying strawberries that are that big, though. Usually they are really pretty, but have no flavor because they have been allowed to be on the vine too long.
LOVE me an Aldi video. Thank you Mindy!!😊
My pleasure!
