You're driving your car with around 100km/h in the right lane "Sha-la-la-la-la-la" and then a motorcycle passes you by with 145 km/h on top of your speed.
Thanks for posting this! I'm not new to bikes, but i am new to sport bikes. I'm considering a Yamaha YZF R6 or a Kawasaki ZX9R! But one question, do you think it would fit a guy who is 6'5 - 6'6? Never sat on one of theese before.
No it's physics : when you lean the bike to turn, your contact point with the road moves from the center of the tire towards the edge, wich has a smaller diameter, hence at a certain "gps" speed, the wheel does more revolutions per unit of time, and that's why the displayed speed increases
My 01 R6 does 280km/h with stock sprockets front and rear. Only mods are a BMC air filter and JRE high flow muffler. Lifts the front wheel off the ground 1st and 2nd gear if i pin it. Doesnt start making power till about 6000rpm with peak power curve at 13000rpm and redline at 15500rpm. I love my 1st gen, they may be carburetted but even without a jet kit they still pull hard, recommend going 3.25 turns out with the pilot screw as oppose to the recommended factory setting of 2.5 turns. I found this to be too lean. Maintenece is key to the older bikes but once dialled in they are absolute weapons. Totally different riding experience compared to todays bikes with all their riders aids and control settings. Perhaps a little less forgiving and i sure as hell know ill never be a good enough rider to reach my bikes full capabilities but in my mind the aggresive raw personality the older bikes have and the level of commitment they demand from the rider is something that gets my blood pumping like nothing else.
I like how you actually know how to corner
For real. Looked real smooth

Then you have to sit on one of these to see if it fits or not
I'm 6'0" and it fits perfect for me. Just try
AntiFla80 K, thanks for the response, and great video

100km is 60mph. So you can do the maths. Sorry i cba lol
Why is he using the cluch to shift only use that for stip or start
I don’t understand, what is he suppose to use and how is he suppose to do it?

Have you had any problems with 2nd gear?
Considering getting a 1st gen R6 and keep reading about 2nd gear being a weak point.
+Pugzilla69 I have R6 from 2001, no issues with second gear after 40k. Check very carefully before you buy.
We have 2 1999 r6 one w 27k km and one w 56k km no tranny or 2nd gear issue. Must b my luck
stock?
Ma è originale ps.grande pilota
Ich bin gerade fast gestorben...
MPH or KPH
considering motorcycles can't hit 270 mph the answer is KPH
Wow!!
270 is a bit too much for a stock 00 R6. What mods? if stock..your speedo is not showing real
