I never realy understand why Vaylin wasn't a romance option for darkside users i mean lets be real here there is no differance between the Darkside Outlander and Vaylin they both have evil intentions; kill the weak, kill of people that are no longer of use, killing people for the lolz ,killing traitors, dont give to F's about civilians honestly they'd fit perfect together
She isn't a romance option because her character wouldn't want to be. Vaylin generally finds romantic relationships to be "pathetic" (her own words) and a waste of time. This is the main thing separating Vaylin and dark Jaesa. While they are both dark sided and insane, Jaesa enjoys carnal pleasures while Vaylin couldn't care less about them.
The fact that they are so similar is the exact reason why their relationship would never work out. They don't feel guilt, empathy or remorse. All they desire is power. They Both want the Eternal throne and that makes them enemies.
To romance anyone you have to trust. In one of the dialogues with Valkorion it is said that Vaylin is loyal to Arcann but she does not trust him. So if she is not able to build trust with her brother then where can we talk about a romance with an enemy and a stranger.

Ummm are you just talking about the eternal throne chapter or swtor as a whole because if your talking about swtor as a whole i would give the saddest character to Revan don't get me wrong Vaylin is a close second but Revan literally gave up the woman he loved and the son he never met to try and stop Vitiate but failed due to being betrayed and watching perhaps his bests friend at the time die in front of him then he's held prisoner for 300 hundred years straight being tortured over and over again then after being freed he tries to help the galaxy but due to being weakened he was defeated by an imperial strike team then his rage for everything Vitiate did to him caused him to will himself back to life and let me repeat that for you HE LITERALLY WILLED HIMSELF BACK TO LIFE! Only then to get beat by a bunch of jedi and sith due to having his light half heal them ove and over again and THEN is forced to remain in the living as a ghost until Vitiate is defeated like for at least 14 years as he said in echis of oblivion 'as long as his spirit remains so does mine and can't see the love of his life for that long sooo...yeah I'd say that's a pretty solid case if i do say so myself but hey thats just my opinion.
I'd say Thexan got it the worst. He was the strongest of the twins, and Valkorion had his eyes on him at first. Tho just like arcann he gave him a hard life, he was favoritising him, hoping to make arcann jealous to developp the underdog son. But Thexan, instead of believing he was special, better, he never gave up on his siblings and always shared what he had with Arcann. And what did he get for being an outstanding human being ? His Father turned his brother against him by pushing Arcann's jealousy and hate for Valkorion himself. He knew what would happen in that throne room. He sacrificed his best son to make a better one in his eyes, detached from the last thing keeping him sane, his brother Thexan. Malgus also got it bad.
I hate to say this but The Outlander freed her. Its better that than to live on and destroy all life. She was beyond redemption thanks to Valkorian of course she was a monster but deep down is a scared little girl thats still caged by her monster of a father. She had to be stopped there was no other way. deep down she's a tragic character

If not killing her allowing her to "escape" for her to pop in and out later down the line to "flirt" and wreak your plans later. She could have been what happen to Jeasa but in reverse for everyone else who didn't do the Sith Warrior quest line.
Honestly I felt real sad about Senya’s family falling apart. Valkorian did everything in his power to make weapons out of people and just killing them felt more like me pushing Valkorian’s hidden agenda forward instead of moving closer to the throne. Gave me real fuzzy feelings. Killing Valkorian and telling him that he’s just basically a broken man before killing him kinda left me... sad...

If i were to make a story to redeem her at the current settings, then it would be the following. She appears to you in your dreams first, then as a force ghost. Her will to live does not let her pass away, and she is still bound to you. It took her a while to figure out how to manifest like Valkorion did, but she doesn't know how to fight, or defeat you. She can however talk to you. Later we would get a story on Kamino. But the big deal would be the Kaminoian cloning technology, and the idea of cloning a force user. This would give her hope to return to life as her own person. Create a clone of her, then she could take control of the clone, and live once more. The clone has no memories, or power. Killing her soul would be as easy as killing a baby. There would be 4 ending to the chapter. 1. Redeem her in death, and let her pass on. 2. Redeem her in life. During the chapter you would slowly turn her to light, and by the time she is restored back to life she is a less evil person. 3. Eradicate her soul. 4. Make her join you in life. You don't try to save her, but you are willing to bring her back to life under the condition, that she serves you.
I feel bad for her, She was made into a crazy person by valkorion, Which is why i do not like him, Vaylin was pretty much my favorite character in knights of the fallen empire-knights of the eternal throne because she was scared and needed help, But she did not want anyone to get close to her because of valkorion, You can tell she is scared when she is whimpering when you get closer to her at 1:35, I wish you could have her as a companion
this is why i'm taken the throne. the throne needs as noble ruler more concerned for the people then himself-so what happened to vaylin can't be repeated.

It would have been nice to have some choices for Vaylin too, like with Arcann. I get why they did not want to make her redeemable, but it could have been some kind of alliance for darksiders, would have been a fun companion. IMO the most realistic would be if after you kill Senya and Arcann, in chapter 8 you can have a conversation similar to the one you can have in the game after her death(“your mother screamed endlessly”, “you are fun”) and then offer her to take down Valkorion, the last surviving member of the family.. Vaylin thinks that we are his puppet, but if Outlander could somehow demonstrate that this is not the case, it would not be out of character for her to agree and after the battle remain as the Outlander’s right hand on Zakuul. Later you also could choose whether to guide her to light or leave her as she is.

She was a child only beginning to understand her power and the consequences it brought. She could've been saved, but Valkorion only thought about himself. I wished we can redeem Vaylin like for example it would be awesome if our choice mattered much more in chapter 1 where if we killed Senya and Arcann later in chapter 4 we can get Vaylin on our side but sparring Senya and Arcann we kill Vaylin.

Vaylin had potential, the premise was interesting, but the way her arc was executed was honestly on a fanfiction self-insert level. She constantly gets random powerups like some Shounen Anime protagonist and her motivations were weak at best. Well, still better than the player character since we at least got to see her power instead of always being told how good "we" are but never actually showing it in cutscenes - unless being Force pushed around like some random NPC is their understanding of a strong character.
I felt sorry for Vaylin. I know she had to be stopped, but that doesn't make me not feel empathy for what she suffered as a child. Valkorian made her a monster.
I really think vaylin could have done something else to stop the outlander from delivering the final blow, kill the outlander and everyone else. like let off a giant force pulse knocking him/her back and use force lighting until everyone is burnt to ash. It just feels like she was a wasted character. she is one bad ass bitch

Maxine Universe we have differences in opinion. The devs actually said (as did xLetalis) Vaylin was never meant to be a redeemable character, like Arcann was. Her and Valkorian were true villains of KoTFE and KoTET.

I asked if you could provide a link so that I could find out exactly what they said, because I'd like to see some of their specific discussion on this specific subject, and I can't find it. Most of their decisions in presenting this "irredeemable" character were for crap, and I'd like to see the thinking behind them. I'm sorry I didn't make that clear: this story was garbage, overall, including every member of this family, and if some of the things that I've heard about their decision making process prove true, they don't need my money.
There is literally no difference between light and Darkside. That pissed me off. They didn't have to fully redeem her now but it would have been nice for her to "be that thorn" that comes up every so often in the future. Waste a time giving us the backstory when we couldn't do nothing about it.
Honestly, I didn't care for redeeming Arcann. But he got his redemption. That should have remained on Senya's side of the fence though. I felt like Vaylin was the obvious choice for your character to focus on (especially a Jedi or Sith Warrior). Both having seen some horrible crap, and gone through it, from the hands of Vitiate/Valkorion. In truth, that entire family suffered. But that girl was really tormented. The brother that truly loved her was killed by her other brother whom she feels betrayed her (and probably never really enjoyed being in the same room as her and her flippant attitude), her mother who she felt that abandoned her, and her father that mentally crippled her and blocked her powers off from her. Let's not forget that she was tortured as well. If they didn't want to fully redeem her, fine. But she was killed like she was a rabid dog.
DBL Helix I get it. Just wish they would’ve is all. Something that made a difference with your choices. I didn’t like the way the scripted where that was the only way to end. For example a companion based strictly on your full light or full dark side status. I’m just thinking long term. Feels like there really isn’t long lasting lore like Wow. Case in point Iilidan stormrage’s arc if you know him.

I hope they continue Senya and Arcann in the new expansion, they're really quite enderaing and I shed a tear when I killed Senya. I love Senya.

Well, still better than the player character since we at least got to see her power instead of always being told how good "we" are but never actually showing it in cutscenes - unless being Force pushed around like some random NPC is their understanding of a strong character.
Glad they didn't redeem her but of all characters to be saved I had hoped Vaylin was an option
To be honest vaylin was beyond redemption throughout the game. She let her own anger and hatred consumed her.
All I had was Lana and Theron for this fight. Senya and Arcaan died. Lol

I felt sorry for Vaylin. I know she had to be stopped, but that doesn't make me not feel empathy for what she suffered as a child. Valkorian made her a monster.
I really think vaylin could have done something else to stop the outlander from delivering the final blow, kill the outlander and everyone else. like let off a giant force pulse knocking him/her back and use force lighting until everyone is burnt to ash. It just feels like she was a wasted character. she is one bad ass bitch

I loved when, back in Chapter VI, my female Jedi Knight said to Vaylin, "I will take _everything_ from you." I hated Vaylin. I think i hate Vaylin more than i did Arcann.

Maxine Universe we have differences in opinion. The devs actually said (as did xLetalis) Vaylin was never meant to be a redeemable character, like Arcann was. Her and Valkorian were true villains of KoTFE and KoTET.
Can you link that? Because if that's true and they put in all of the evidence of her abuse to show just how irredeemable she is, I need to cancel my subscription.

I'm well aware of that, thanks. That wasn't what I asked for. I asked if you could provide a link so that I could find out exactly what they said, because I'd like to see some of their specific discussion on this specific subject, and I can't find it. Most of their decisions in presenting this "irredeemable" character were for crap, and I'd like to see the thinking behind them. I'm sorry I didn't make that clear: this story was garbage, overall, including every member of this family, and if some of the things that I've heard about their decision making process prove true, they don't need my money.

It's pretty much the same thing, except no light or dark points. You still stab her and she still dies

There is literally no difference between light and Darkside. That pissed me off. They didn't have to fully redeem her now but it would have been nice for her to "be that thorn" that comes up every so often in the future. Waste a time giving us the backstory when we couldn't do nothing about it.
Honestly, I didn't care for redeeming Arcann. But he got his redemption. That should have remained on Senya's side of the fence though. I felt like Vaylin was the obvious choice for your character to focus on (especially a Jedi or Sith Warrior). Both having seen some horrible crap, and gone through it, from the hands of Vitiate/Valkorion. In truth, that entire family suffered. But that girl was really tormented. The brother that truly loved her was killed by her other brother whom she feels betrayed her (and probably never really enjoyed being in the same room as her and her flippant attitude), her mother who she felt that abandoned her, and her father that mentally crippled her and blocked her powers off from her. Let's not forget that she was tortured as well. If they didn't want to fully redeem her, fine. But she was killed like she was a rabid dog.
DBL Helix I get it. Just wish they would’ve is all. Something that made a difference with your choices. I didn’t like the way the scripted where that was the only way to end. For example a companion based strictly on your full light or full dark side status. I’m just thinking long term. Feels like there really isn’t long lasting lore like Wow. Case in point Iilidan stormrage’s arc if you know him.
@@markdias5636 Good point. That's why I haven't been playing WoW and SWtoR (especially). I just don't feel as engaged anymore. And SWtoR has gotten so bland and choices stopped mattering, even in the short term.

why they add new chapter in only to find it not fun to do, i mean its like a headaches to try do some in them new chapter and some chapters easy and fun...its 98% fun and 2% headaches to try!...98% great fun and 2% busted bit fun at all like trying to do flashpoint solo-mod (group) and same for just unplayable were some of us walk away. thinking it was poorly made
