5:08 "I'll use reverse psychology, that'll guarantee they'll spare me."
Was the last terrible plan Malora ever made. RIP in pieces.
First revan then the emperor now Malgus. Which of my kills are going to return next as a villain? Darth Thanaton or even better a korslug from korriban with some world ending force magic
It was merely a setback!
What about Revan again? xD
I'd love some more Revan. But any more and they might just make the whole community hate Revan.
@@gamma2589 Personally I never understood the hate against the Shadow of Revan, but I still think it is best to leave him as he is. And the only characters that died but have returned were never really confirmed (besides Revan but we know why he was able to return). So characters like Darth Thanaton and such won't return if you ask me
@@DarthNoox Darth Baras might. His hatred for us is what kept him alive. Like Maul...
@@gamma2589 Possibly, but that depends with what choice you went with, if you did Light Side he would've died on Nathema and I don't see anyone returning from Zildrog, the Dark Side is possible but I still see the chances being very slim
What I like about Malora is, that she actually doesn't really seem to care whether the Jedi or the Sith win or survive. Malora and Acina are the most interesting NPCs the Sith Empire ever had. And this saying while I believe that the Empire has a lot more interesting characters than the Republic.
"A machine with pieces of a sith lord bolstered to it hardly deserves to be called alive"
Darth Vader would like a word with you
Here I thought we've got Kira back, but I forgot your character looks like her...
What I see in this is not just the failure of the Sith Empire and its eventual end, it's also where the Jedi truly start to lose their way as servants of the Force. Jedi like Tau openly pledging themselves to become tools for the Republic military. Even our Republic player characters are essentially the same thing. It's not the Jedi way. Thousands of years later, Qui-Gon Jinn questions this in a conversation with Yoda. Jinn saw the folly of the Jedi primarily serving the Republic and not the Force. The Jedi Order became a political entity in the heart of Coruscant rather than the spiritual Order of peace and Light that they were on Tython. Yoda saw wisdom in Jinn's views, but by then it was already too late. The Order was trapped in this Tau Idair mindset. Because of this, we saw what happened in Episode III. The Jedi were doomed.
So, Tau Idair led the order to ruin?
I do not at all see the Jedi characters in SWTOR as "tools of the Republic military". Take the Knight story as an example - the Council became aware of the troubles involving the Planet Prison project on Coruscant thanks to their own insight, not to a call for aid from Var'suthra. And the Knight has pretty much operational freedom to determine what is done with the weapons projects every step of the way, and that can lead to even displeasure on Var'suthra's part on one occasion. On Chapters 2 and 3, the military is a tool to aid the Jedi in their hunt for the Emperor, which serves as a tipping point in the war, as the Empire by the end of Chapter 3 is hanging on the edge of defeat, due to infighting and the Emperor working his side projects rather than directing the Empire's efforts as he did in the previous war (which ended in a nearly total imperial victory).
A mosca na véia you as a player aren't a tool of the republic obviously but the npcs are none of the council members or jedi helped that twi'lek village in the jedi knight storyline because the republic told them so, in some scenes for the jedi knight some people even make comment about the republic and them not helping out
It’s more like the Jedi officially losing its soul if it hadn’t already.
I actually feel like there’s shades of Revan and Qui Gon in her decision since she didn’t ask for permission from the council, simply doing what she thought was right whether she had their permission or not. I don’t think Jedi fighting in wars was the problem, I think the problem was the council acting as a a body of political/military leaders, telling the rest of the Jedi what to do. Like back on Tython, they weren’t allowed to help the Twilek pilgrims for political reasons. In the clone wars era, slavery still existed in the galaxy but because they were bound to the republic politically, they did nothing. I think Qui Gon saw this and didn’t even wanna be on the council cause he wanted to be out in the galaxy getting shit done instead of sitting around the council chambers debating, he let the force guide him instead of the council. He just stayed a Jedi cause he realized he could do more good as a Jedi because of the resources at his disposal. So I don’t really think the Jedi staying on Tython meditating all day would’ve stopped their downfall. Tau just said she wanted to volunteer, not be a Jedi general and take over the whole operation. That’s how I see it at least!
i don't think she's dead... Malora likely regenerated herself from that blow. There is something about her suggesting that her story has much more depth to it; her fascination with alchemy, her whole agenda which we know nothing about. I'd love her to be in the next expansion
same here
Only if they bring Kephess back.
I'd like for her to eventually become a Imp side companion, I like Malora, want to see more of her.
Next: The Return of Darth Malak and the Star Forge
They introduce a new Dark Council member and bring back an NPC from the very start of the game at the same time? Awesome.
Said character is suddenly as crazy as the master she loathed and gets immediately taken out by Malgus just so the big guy gets an epic entrance? Disappointing, but... Malgus.
Even if Malora becomes a companion (which I hope), she's in the same position as Theron, Arcann and all those others as someone who will most likely never be in a really relevant position again. Ultimately something of a waste.
I absolutely agree that Theron, Arcann and others should get a more relevant position again in the story if they have been saved, or let you feel a gap if they died or something along those lines. Since the moment I met Darth Malora I couldn't stand her, she is incompetent, a fool and not fit to be a Dark Council member so I couldn't help but laugh when Malgus appeared and shoved her away like the insignificant insect she is. Also a question, why do people like Malora and want her as a companion, I am genuinely curious about it.
@@DarthNoox If you laughed about Malgus Force-pushing Malora, BioWare achieved their objective. They purposely depicted Malora as incompetent and crazy to set up an epic and satisfying return scene for Malgus. Rather than trying to promote Malora as a character in her own right, they sacrificed her to show off Malgus. As you said, it doesn't seem like she deserves to be on the Dark Council (which also applies to Thanaton), but then why is she? Because she's actually brilliant, created a healing substance better than bacta and modified her own body via Sith Alchemy (kinda like the Inquisitor did with the Mother Machine). According to what Pyron and the codex entry say, Malora very much deserves to be a Dark Council member. It's not the first time the actual story content can't keep up, especially so if BioWare doesn't even care.
For me personally, Malora has potential and could be explored quite a bit more, so I would very much like her to be a companion to get at least some tidbits. And yeah, there's just something really cool about the fact that she's an NPC from a quest that has been in the game since launch, a quest from the Sith's starting planet to boot. Also like her design.
@@JanPeverell Hmmm, yeah I believe that Bioware could've done a better job with Malora and maybe explored her a little bit more, perhaps some side conversations similar to conversation you had with your companions (which I would love to see return in a large way, not just one mission) to explore and learn a bit more about Malora and maybe not see her as incompetent as she is depicted.
On the matter of her deserving a seat on the Dark Council, I still believe that she isn't fit for it. Yes, she might have a brilliant mind that developed better healing and modified her body with Sith Alchemy, but she rather focuses on her creations than on the Empire's interests. I get it that Sith have personal interests, even I have them, but I know that the interests of the Empire must come first and I would love it if there would be more Sith like that. I rather have a less brilliant Dark Council member that prioritizes the Empire and its interests than a brilliant member who prioritizes their own interests. I would love it if there were more Sith like Marr and Malgus (who despite betraying the Empire and crowning himself Emperor which was acting on personal interests, he did partly have the best interests for the Empire in mind and saw things such as the racism against Aliens was weakening the Empire) and fewer Sith like Thanaton (*remembers how Thanaton died and laughs*) and Ravage
I do agree on the part that it was nice to have such an old character return and I do like her design as well. I have also mentioned earlier how we could've learned more about her so her becoming a companion wouldn't be necessary but it would be a nice way for us to learn even more about Malora. (but personally, I would rather have a Vaylin companion, one way or another than a Malora companion)
@Darth Noòx
No Companion conversations were great. Separate stories for each class were great. I honestly don't expect to get much more from either in the future, but at least we had two different stories this time around.
See, that's also something I kinda blame BioWare for. There is literally nothing wrong with Malora's interest in alchemy and genetics, but it's science and science takes time and testing. There are countless ways she could have tested her Geonosians - in fact, she's had 13 years to experiment around and she must have learned a lot from trial and error. She's led military offensives before and even if she's not as interested in those, she must have learned something. Perhaps this is just my personal preference for novels and comics showing through, but I've long since thought that the SWTOR team doesn't think things through and doesn't take things as seriously at they should.
Although I wasn't the biggest fan of the entire Zakuul storyline, I also wished for Vaylin as a companion. Why this poor girl spends years being tortured and being broken on orders of her father and has to die while Arcann gets a chance for redemption is beyond me. But well, Vaylin's dead and won't be coming back, so there's nothing we can do.
@@JanPeverell Yeah, the companion stories weren't the greatest but at the very least it added something to the story and the characters that are the companions, even if it were in small ways. And I do agree that the SWTOR team has to improve their writing and attention to details in the story, in my personal opinion Zakuul was interesting, or at the very least fun, Iokath was meh, Umbara and Chiss were bad but Nathema was "okay" and Ossus is improving things, still not on the level as I would like things, but it is improving. Also, I agree that there is nothing wrong with Malora's interest in Sith Alchemy and Science, just as my Interest in Ancient Knowledge and Philosophy is nothing wrong with either, it is just that I would prefer if the Sith, in general, could put the Empire above these personal interests, I am not saying that we should give up on our personal interests, I am saying that we can focus on them as long as this does not hurt the Empire (or at the very least in a significant way).
Oh and about Vaylin, do not forget that she is Valkorion's daughter, and last we saw Vaylin was in our mind or something like that. I wouldn't say that it is impossible for her to return, improbable perhaps, but not impossible. *contacts the Mother Machine on Belsavis*
How bizarre that Malora has a vision about LIFE and the FORCE's relation to it so similar to that of a jedi...even when she was apprentice of that strange scientist in Korriban.
Mako what are you doing with that purple lightsaber!!!!!? Get back on my ship now!!!!. Lol
I want Darth Malora companion
it's same with master Gnost-Dural
What about a romanceable Malora?
Ehh, probably not worth it...
@@zly000 Least it makes her look hotter...
hopefully Marr might join our Alliance if we help him becoming a non slave/tool from Acina/Vowran
@@laklomp You mean Malgus, not Marr. Marr is dead.... Unfortunately....
3:05 I notice that the result always seems to be stomach cramps after these fights
Malora sounds like a Jedi Master XD "The Force is Life, and only life can command it's depths", " Taking me prisoner would waste valuable time and personnel, that you'll need to treat the wounded".
Selfless, caring about the wounded of her enemies, focus on knowledge and life, are we sure she's a Sith?
She is anything but selfless or caring. She just wanted to convince you to let her go and gave ya reasons, why taking her a prisoner is a waste of time. Plus, the force is alive is something even her master spoken of. A life and knowledge she can manipulate and twist and use for her own gain. She sounds pretty Sith to me.
@@Elphirein Yet she berates Malgus for destroying the library of her enemies, almost as if she values knowledge over defeating them...
She *immediately* let's you know where the injured master is, though is unsure if he can be rescued at that point because of Malgus( I.e. she'd rather have an enemy Master live, to the point of literally showing you where he is ).
Literally the only reason she's even staying there is for knowledge, which is why Malgus came in the first place, as the Dark Council grew impatient.
Yeahhhhh, just like a Sith........
@@Elphirein Heck, even as an apprentice, she went further then a Sith would usually in craving knowledge over violence, preferred sutelty in deposing her Master rather than a fight.
And didn't betray you after the job Was done(she kept her word, instead prefering an option that benefited both of you, and thus showed her value of honesty ).
@@thomasdobbs6676
Or she saw you as a long term investment.
Or she was simply affraid of you.
Or both.
Yes, she acted like a Sith. Because Sith are different and there are no single answer as to what being Sith means. Just like people are different. She didn't act as a typical Sith, yes. But overall her actions doesn't deny her nature one bit. She is obsessed with Force and Knowledge.. If you think just because she acted as you described is somehow lessen her status as a true Sith, well... I disagree.
damn, Malora is adorable XD
Yep! I just couldn't bring myself to kill her, even though I am pro-Dark Side/Neutral!
It makes me wonder how Malora even became a Dark Council member from how deranged she sounds but she might be better of as a companion if only that was possible
Poor Tau only got halv a bath robe to wear, but I suppose times are hard for even the Jedi
Dude so I found your channel with the Witcher 3 series of "things you may have missed". Well now I decided to get back into this game and lo and behold, you made these videos! Keep up the great work!
heh :) yeah, I actually started making youtube videos when SWTOR came out
A year and a half later, I'm more than sure she will come back, regardless of your choice to spare or kill her. If spared, she will likely escape, if ,,killed'' she survived. Why? Because o her speech about force and life (notice the zoom on her face) with that ominous music playing in the background. She cannot be killed there
I don’t think that Malora will be a companion but it’s still possible
you could be right
Zerebrat Eightyseven 😂😂that would be nice
3:55 I thought dude was about to lay the hottest track in two galaxies🔥🔥🔥😭😂🤣
Actually Malora look like better than before! I like her much more now. Thank you.
I feel like I'm the only person left that enjoys playing light side
I enjoy both ;]
", rest assured-- I brought tea" best phrase in the game
Your jedi counselor has a sick weapon. If only lightsabers had the same design.
This game is better than everything disney puts out, im so glad it has survived, its the only on going legends material we have.
Also daeruuns species (krex) looks actually good unlike all of disneys new species which just look silly to me, i actually didnt even realize it was a new species till i looked it up.
Yeah I must admit that SWTOR is of late my favorite Star Wars media ;]
So Mako went and became a Jedi Knight. Good for her.
Frankly... Bioware could find a way to wrap the different arcs of the story (Empire and Republic) so as to not be mutually exclusive, and thus serve the creation of a more intricate and believable story. The way it is, the actions of the Republic force on Ossus matter zero to the Empire, and vice-versa.
With Inquisitor:
"You speak to Darth Malora of the Dark Council"
"You speak to Darth Nox/Imperius/Occlus of the Dark Council"
Warrior:
"You speak to Darth Malora of the Dark Council"
"You speak to the Emperor's Wrath himself/herself"
A shame they didn't keep her for upcoming expansions.
If do the false empire quest you get a special line. Your toon will say he died i was there
Who else thinks Malora looks a lot better with those awesome almost Zerg-like bone ridges and such
Why did you flirt with it? That futa will pound your little counselor to oblivion! >.
Why did she respond favorably to the flirting? 😂
Is that a gradient lightsaber crystal? I need that @1:34 one that Tau has
I'd love to have Malora as a companion.

@@erikevenson4303 np :) Glad to hear
I just realized something, since the Jedi you play as is now a member of the new Jedi Council by the end of Jedi under siege, at least I think that’s what happens, I’d say there’s a good chance you could become Jedi Grandmaster by the time they finish the game
Anyone realize that the doctor is legit Johnny Cages voice actor?
who knew that random quest giver becomes important character later on lol.
Oh damn, Malgus is back? Shit, I need to get back into this, I wonder of Malora remembers me *wink wink*
apparently she does from what Ive seen
So far I've only taken her into custody. I may have my trooper kill her though. So....I guess Malgus missed when he thought he killed Gnost Dural? Both endings were strange because on Empire Malgus isn't flying in a ship with the troops in that cut scene. Also, the fate of Gnost Dural being different - on Republic it doesn't say how he ended up like that and on Empire our choices wouldn't have had him still lying there for the Republic to find.
Well, if the outlander is a Jedi then all of the sith/imperial/bounty hunter player characters vanished around the time of the Eternal Empire's invasion, vice versa for Jedi/Republic Trooper/Smuggler characters if the outlander is a Sith. Thus, the Sith Outlander wasn't there to make a choice on the fate of Gnost Dural, so Malgus got to him. This is why I hate SWTOR lore wise, it's just too many influential people to keep track of, and too many possible decisions that they made. The individual stories are awesome, though.
15:00
Is he quoting "Dha Werda Verda"?
The topic seems simmilar
I'll enjoy cutting through this jedi as a dark side sith warrior in the future expansions, god, do i love this game or do i love it?
1:25 woman they’re trying to hit you. They’re aiming correctly! Also why does your character look like Mako’s doppelgänger?
And then his next character looks like a Kira Carsen clone
wait so your telling me that other than vette a couple of other companion characters from each of the 4 classes from both the empire and republic sides now nadia grell shows up from the councelors class dang
By seeing Acina and Malora, I wonder if Darth Lachris were doing if we just had the chance to let her live
P.D. I like LaChris, I wanted to see more about her.
And Jadus wtf happen to him if you become his hand

never happened to me ;o
I'm waiting for the time when you are given the option to flirt with a Jedi, and said Jedi, instead of buttering you up, just brings up the fact that Jedi do not engage in such relationships.
Come on! She is a loading screen character. Give her more role.
Play the imperial story
@@akvelo9862 Already have. She was annoyed by the noise of my arrival, then was pushed off a ledge by Malgus, then came to comb through the library after the battles were done.
"Any chance your fighters got Malgus on their attack?"
Should have, since he was flying a shuttle into battle. BW should work on their fleet design, shuttles aren't supposed to be combat craft.
I did spare her. I teally hope for her as a companion one day.
She would fit my dark counselor very well.
you know they could have made it like they did on balmora where you help darth lachris as imperial but ultimately she dies on the republic storyline just have knostdural die and have malora found out while looking for holocrons and killed by republic i mean you have the option to capture both buuut i like clean cuts and since they obviously wanna write you back to your faction they could have made room on the dark council not that anyone would actualy kneel to acina after all that time
She looks Happy in the thumbnail… :/
5:38 - 6:02 - 6:23 - 6:34 Her introduction and after that would be the same with Me If I were a Sith Lord :)
Did you purposely make you jedi consular look like Kira Carsen and your jedi knight look like an evil Mako?
I spared her on my guardian, looking back at the dialogue, I regret sparing her.
Am I mishearing things,or do Doc and Johnny Cage share the same voice actor?
Mako is that you?
Still didn't get an answer whether or not I can play the base game by downloading it and then continuing on to this eventually but great video as always.
Does anybody know the theme playing at the beginning of the video?
The Emperor looks different.
Only in this game is it considered a good act to let a mass murderer live.
I forgot her.
It's a good act because Jedi don't kill a defenseless opponent, even one who is a defenseless mass murderer.
Hey! Loved seeing these videos! What is the gear (specifically chest) and weapon your shadow is using? (at least I'm pretty sure its a shadow, lightside!)
the weapon is from the cartel market, look it up there, the gear... oh I'm not so sure, it may be the set you get for completing KOTET...
When are we going to get the next chapter?
I think we'll find out on May 4th
I'm confused. When did mako become a jedi?
recently
So does gnost dural actually die if you let malgus kill him as a sith? It looks like he survived. Theron said he was dead via mail though. If he survived Theron will know I killed him......
It's strange isn't it? The endings are different on Empire side. Maybe when Malgus said to get the body they got their too late or got killed and republic showed up to rescue him. As to why Theron would still send that mail could be the Empire covering their butts for screwing that up and broadcasting that he died.
whats the name of the armor and the speer u used with Letha-k if i may ask?
both are from the cartel market I think
@@xLetalis well, that doesn't help much, but thanks anyway
Wait, was that Dha Werda Verda?
Malora: ''Life is more variable, more adaptable...capable of true change...and thus true power. The Force is life...and only life can truly command it's depths!''.
That was a reference to Anakin Skywalker losing his potential after being defeated by Obi-Wan Kenobi in Mustafar and then becoming Darth Vader millenniums later, a reference made by an analogy to Malgus?.
What armor is your character is wearing in the second part of the video
I think it's the reward for completing KOTET's last chapter, but im not 100% sure

Dark Side Jedi Knight is hilarious. Her lisp makes it impossible to take her seriously. She is like a Saturday Morning Cartoon villain

Demon Emperor Void Swag Empire is cool!
how do you continue jedi under siege story line? i get up to the part were the republic bomb the sith base. which is 4 quest into it.
Wow why is the republic ending much better than the sith empire with the imperial ending being 80% casualties during the battle and the attack on the strike base. Also the Imperial ending has a good speech of Malgus but very short and not so inspirational
