The ProForm TLX is an affordable running treadmill. It has a 3-horsepower motor and a 20” x 60” running deck, which make it perfect for runners who need an indoor solution on rainy days. This treadmill has a firm running deck which mimics the feel of running outside on the road. It has a speed range of 0 to 12 mph and an incline range of 0 to 12%. It does not decline. There are buttons for each speed and incline level, so you can quickly make your adjustments.
The TLX does not require a monthly subscription to use it. However, it can be paired with the iFIT app on your phone or tablet for a more guided training experience. The app will make automatic adjustments to the speed and incline, so you can train hands-free. If you do not have a subscription, you can use the treadmill in manual mode or use the featured iFIT class in the app.
The console has other features, including Bluetooth to connect with a heart rate monitor (and the app). It has a powerful cooling fan with multiple speed settings. There are speakers, but they require an aux cord to play music or other audio through. There is a tablet rack which is handy for viewing any content you would like while training. The large cup holders are an additional storage option that have plenty of room for all of the small items you may need during your walk or run.
The ProForm TLX is a folding treadmill. It is compact and can be moved fairly easily on its two transport wheels. Yet, for its size the treadmill is very stable and supports users up to 300 lbs.

sure is crazy how we are normalizing $1,000 as budget nowadays lol
What a fantastic channel. I was having a hard time navigating the market as a first time buyer, so I appreciate the in depth review. The minimalistic style ,features and price point on this model are exactly what I'm looking for. These videos have answered all my questions and more.
Glad we could help!
I think I'm going to do the trainer 12
I just bought this and the motor is really loud. Think it's a faulty motor and Proform have agreed to replace it. The deck is very firm, which as the reviewer states isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm curious to know if it's firmer than the Carbon T series.
The google maps feature allows you to create custom routes, right? That is high on my list
The Google Maps feature is not available with the TLX through the app. I suggest looking at the ProForm Trainer 12.0 if you really want that feature.
You can adjust the speeds by .1 or just by full numbers?
You can adjust the speed by .1
This might sound silly, but to turn on and off, it's the switch at the bottom front of the treadmill? Or is there a special way to do so?
You take the red magnet thing at the center of the dashboard off and that usually does it for any treadmill
Yes, the switch will turn the treadmill on and off.
This or the 7.0at?
Great question! TLX if you want to use it with iFIT. 7.0 AT if you want built-in programs. The 7.0 AT is also quieter and softer than the TLX.
They are Bluetooth? It’s listed on their website…
We have been able to connect via Bluetooth to the app for automatic incline and speed changes, but none of our reviewers have been able to connect to the speakers via Bluetooth.
Does the screen show an oval track on the screen with your progress as you run around the track?
No, it just shows your metrics (time, distance, etc)
Ty! Looking at this model and horizon AT 7.0, warranty looks better on horizon but also seems like a troubling process after seeing some other user reviews regarding warranty
