T, I just had a great idea. Sew your interior patches on first then cut out the exterior. The denim won't get distorted that way and will be much easier to sew, especially if there is a bit of lycra in the denim. I just love your creativeness!!

Awesome tutorial!!! One of the best I've ever seen!! Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing your process in such great detail. Love, love, love the finished product!!! 😍😍🤔 What is the price point at which you sell these jeans?
Should i buy my normal size when thriving a pair of boyfriend jeans to work with? I am petite and love this look, but, have not worn looser jeans for many years.
Hi Tracy! You inspired me to diy a pair of mens jeans. I hadn’t used my sewing machine in five years so had to get familiar with threading it and all that jazz. The piece that holds the foot kept falling off every so often, but I managed to get it back on. I got frustrated when I tried to sew up the side of the jean but the thread kept breaking. I’m using a Brother machine and the thread is an All-purpose (Coats) brand. I had to cut the belt loop off to give me a little room to sew on. I was cutting the thread to remove the jeans from the machine and accidentally snipped the tip of my finger. Can you recommend a thread brand to use on jeans? Thank you!!!
@@tmyershandmade978 I’m reading my comment this morning, gosh could I be anymore whinier? LOL!!!! Thank you for your kind reply. Once I complete this project I’ll post a pic of them. Are you on Instagram? I want to try making those cute pantaloons with all the lace and patches!!! Thanks again!!!!
I’m curious….I’m a lot more curvy than you are especially thru the thighs and I’m wondering if sewing the sides back the same way you did here will add to my thigh area or if it’s so small it doesn’t really add to it in that area. Thanks
You make me want to just sit at my sewing machine and ignore all of my other responsibilities 😂
Lol then you would be just like me🤣🤣🤣
My thoughts exactly! When I go to thrift stores now, I’m looking for lace and flannel shirts!😊

Aww I'm sorry, jeans can be tricky sometimes. I've always used coats & clark thread.❤❤❤

This technique causes you to lose about 1/2" in the thigh area. 💕💕💕💕
Los coses sin volver a hacer la costura original?
I sew the sides wrong sides together and have a raw edge on the outside 🤗💕

Question….after cutting sides open to do artwork, are the jeans smaller once the new seam is sewn? Thanks so much! Love your creations!
Yes, they are smaller after🥰🥰🥰🥰
