Perhaps the greatest quality that all of these young musicians seem to have in abundance is respect for the music they're playing. No doubt absorbed through the culture of SAJB if not explicitly part of the curriculum. Eva might be Exhibit A, but they all have it. Always listening, watching, and supporting their fellow performers. A beautiful thing to see and even more beautiful to hear the result.

At 74 I can reflect on all the music and musicians I have been blessed to hear. Started with Bill Haley and Rock n Roll, Elvis, then came the Beatles, the Stones. Can't forget Sinatra, etc. Now I can add Joan Chamorro and all those beautiful young artists he has introduced to us. He is a true! master. Bless him and all his
    Gifts!

At 77, Gary, I fully agree. Joan and his band of amazingly talented young musicians are fabulous. Brilliant renditions, not only of the standards I love, but, here, a country song, and elsewhere, a terrific treatment of 50s (60s?) pop: Put Your Head On My Shoulder. Amazingly versatile as well as supremely skilled.

WOW! another wonderful performance from this unique concert! One word sums it up - 'Respect' for the musical arrangement which must have been very demanding, plus for each other as the song progressed. Rita has shown this over the years often discreetly moving out of the spotlight sometimes by kneeling on stage during others solos which shows the essence of the Joan Chamorro school of life...
