Underground Drain Flush- how to have a tangle free jetter line- In Raleigh NC

  • I go over my basic set up in this video for underground drain flushing using a pressure washing "jetter" attachment in Raleigh NC. I test out the "entry-level kit" found on Amazon. I go over how to "wind-up" your jetter line when finished to prevent tangles. I show how to use the ball valve for shallow ground excavation.

I am a service plumber. I used a aqua jetting machine when I worked for plumbing company that was in another county. It was I believe a U.S.jetter brand that was trailer mounted and all. These aqua jetting rigs are in my opinion the best way to go AS LONG as your not in someone's house who's bird dog'n you every step of the way about getting water or any spec on their floors. I take every precaution and especially now since I went out on my own. I believe this set up you have will work really well for some of the applications I need it for..Thanks for a very good video, Every bit of what you said and described is 100% true folks!

I really like your looping process. Never thought of looping it this way to avoid the tangling. Going to do it your way as I really hate the tension of the tangling of these pressure washer hoses. 👍👍

Professional - nice work! I knew I was watching a pro when you first bled the spicket before connecting. I assume you did this too flush out any debris in the water that may have settled at the end of the spicket and therefore keeping it out of your hose line. Nice work!
Also none of the problems seem to deter you. Sure you may have used a few professional words for the issues you encountered off camera, lol, but that's just the way we do it :)
Finally you ended the video, by taking the time, to what in my opinion is to make the world a better place! Educating the general public on how to wrap a pressure wash hose just makes this video Superior and you a good person! This is not normally a channel I would subscribe to but I gladly have now subscribed!
I haven't yet browsed the rest of your channel but I would love to see a video on how to wrap extension chords. This is a major pet peeve for me with most people and their inability to wrap an extension cord to avoid tangles knots and kinks...
When wrapping an extension cord I either use a similar method to what you shown here with the pressure washer cable or I do the braiding method. I like the braiding method just because others are intimidated by it and they're less likely to use my extension cord ;) thank you for this video!

Good tip with the hose ......
Just wondering what kind of gallons per minute and psi is good for this type of thing.
I am Looking to buy a new pressure washer....

I’ve been in the pressure washing business for 30 years and gutter cleaning was an add on. When you refer to the 5.5 opening, I believe you are referring to the size of your water pump on your pressure washer, are you not? It appears you have a Honda GX690 which would mate perfectly with a 5.5 GPM pump. It is important to size all tips to the size of your water pump. Under ground drains are not something I ever bothered with and should have. I’m just too busy washing houses with my crews. Getting ready to retire this year. Your videos are excellent.

    • @divcleaningservice9522

I was probably referring to the orifice size of the jetter tip. This is a 8GMP pump

  • @patrickstich5532

    • @divcleaningservice9522

yes, the forward hole blasts debris apart and out of the way. The backwards holes propel the jet forward and flush the pipe.

We think our downspouts drain to an underground drain field. Is it still ok to use this method to flush the clog? I guess it would just push it to the field. House built in 1950.
