How to clean under gutter guards without removing the Guards.

How to clean under gutter guards without removing the Guards.
What is that attachment called. Can’t find one in shops
This is a great video. My magnets kept popping and blinds were stuck half way down and never going back up with that horrible break of magnet feeling. (It hurts.) I ended keeping the magnet slider off and then pressing really hard into the window with the magnetic slider to get the blinds finally up to the top, but I do not think that would have worked if I did not take that slider off. So thank you. This should have way more likes.
how much did you charge for this particular house ?
Is this a solid year around business or does it tend to be seasonal? And do you think this business works better than some states than others (due to possibly some states more likely to have debris in their gutters)? I live in Texas (Eastern side) by the way.
what type of equipments do you use?
Who is the expert to call to clean my sump pump drainage in the backyard seems like the water is pouring in my backyard stead through the black tube under my ground towards the sewer ? Is it plumber or landscapers. Landscaper installed it.
do you ever use a water dowser for these situations?
Can i use Ridge Pro to remove moss or apply bleach with back sprayer on roof or will it come loose from the top ridge
Show us some work on a tile roof. Great job
are you supposed to flush the gutter downspouts with water hose after removing the debris?
What’s the price for this?
How much mess does it make? Obviously alot of shit flys evrywhere
It makes a huge mess. At times guards and nailed into the roof sheeting and covered with shingles, so a jetter is the only way to clean under them without damaging the shingles.
How can I find someone near me that does this work? I'm in MOnument, Colorado
Call a local plumbing company that offers jetting service.
Awesome thank you.
You are welcome!
My issue is, when I raise the blind all the way up, but won’t stay. It will lower about 6-8 inches on its own. How is that fixed…
I'm not sure, seems like the blinds are functioning but the weight is just too much to be held up.
I’m wondering why have a guard if it causes more hassle to clear out muck. I’m getting to an age that I can’t get on a ladder safely.
Some folks have to clean their gutters every few weeks/months. In these situations guards make sense. However we take off more guards and throw them away than we install. Seldomly do we recommend guards.
Very useful, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Yes one , exactly what did you charge for this home ?? You showed your sign but did not say what you charged for thie home???
This was years ago, so I do not recall the exact price. Today it would probably be $150-300 range.
Do not need to remove the slide. Fix this video. I can’t get the slide back in. It comes out easy but doesn’t go back easy and never needed to come out in the first place.
Sounds like user error. . .
It fixed mine! It was closed halfway for like a year. Thank you But one thing, I could not get the slider piece back under the groove how did you do it. Looks like you cut out that part.
I have used a flat head screw driver in the past to gently create some room on the lip to put the slider back into the grove.
Excellent. Much appreciated and subscribed. I started a soft/pressure wash business a few months ago and am about to start marketing. I'm considering adding this service as well. Did you literally just hand scoop out the gutters? Or do rinse/wash them out as well? Thank you!
Welcome aboard! it really depends on the house/property. I almost always water flush the gutters on my first visit to a property to check for leaks/proper pitch. Following visits hand scooping/blowing may be quicker and make less mess.
@@divcleaningservice9522 Thank you for the reply. That makes sense. I just wasn't sure what extent you went to. That is if you just scoop it out and rinse, or if you literally wipe everything inside and out.
Looks like those gutter guards are worthless.
agreed
Nice Snort!
ROFL!
Never thought to do this. Looks dirty but I'll give it it shot
It's a nice little "band-aid" fix until you have the time to clean the gutters properly.
Just came across your vid trying to figure out how to solve a unique issue that I had. A nice thing of using that garden hose adapter, it eliminates the bulkhead fitting. Kind of a simpler setup. And a 90 degree fitting can be used to take stress off the hose and have Banjo Garden Hose cam locks for quick attachment/detachment. Thanks for putting this out.
Careful using 90-degree fittings. I have found that they are notorious for cracking. Especially if you are using that line for suction.
@@divcleaningservice9522 Yeah. Ran into problems with it. Had to go another route
How much did you charge for this
It would be $150-300 range these days.
thanks for posting , does it matter which way your feed the jet when trying to unclog a underground drain from a house gutter. Does the jet push the clog forward or backward ? or both ?
If I know where the drains "daylight" I always run the jetter from that direction. Then while holding the trigger, I pull the jetter towards the exit. This "back flushes" the drain line and pushes all the debris to the exit.
Great video thanks.
You're welcome!
Genius! I just watched this video and fixed my blind control mechanism. It turns out you need to pop it out completely! It's February 26, 2024, and this 6 year old video is still helping! Thank you a thousand times!
Glad it helped!
What size was that drill bit
I'm not sure, sorry. It would depend on the fittings you are using.
Great. Fixed my patio door build-blinds. Thank you so much.
Awesome!
Hey where can i buy those shoes friend i need it. Thanks
The best place is directly from their website.
I think this is my problem at my house. Around how much did this cost?
You can expect to pay $1-$400 per line depending on factors. It's not cheap, but less expensive then digging up your landscape and replacing.
Is gutter cleaning worth starting and can u only do gutter cleaning and make 10,000 month
Yes, we make a lot more than $10k/month.
Watched a few videos by you regarding cleaning gutters from the roof. With the leash or the lanyard with the fall pro…if you were to fall you are just dangling until help comes. Would it not be more beneficial to use a belay device instead so you can lower yourself to the ground?
Good point, we work 2 man crews. I'd recommend doing some research on "suspension trauma." Essentially dangling and cut off blood flow, and turn toxic. You can die in about 15 minutes even though you are "not dead yet."
Hi : Thanks for the video, this is exactly what I've been wondering about. I put in underground 4" black plastic perforated corrugated French drain line all around my house 20 years ago, and I do have a few drain runs 100 feet long and have "Y" junctions along the underground runs.. I have flushed them a few times through the years by just jamming garden hose through them from both the source and exit ends. Now the blockages "feel" solid. I should mention that there are a lot of trees close by and suspect significant root intrusion. I have seen the self feeding pressure washer hose tips and I have a fairly serious pressure washer. (gas powered, 13 HP, possibly 3800 psi) I am concerned that the tip under pressure will destroy the plastic, and I would really REALL'Y like to keep the drain pipe as now decks and concrete pathways have been build over them. The question is: What it the Right Amount of pressure to maximize drain clearing with out destroying the pipe? Can the tip destroy the pipe? I would rather buy a smaller pressure washer than dig up and replace all the underground drain line. And, do you have a preferred brand of pressure washer cleaning tip? And Like one of the comments below mentions, I think one guy is suggesting starting with the pressure washer method and then bringing in a sewer snake with a cutting tip for an more stubborn roots? Any experience with sewer snakes and Plastic drain line? Good idea? Bad idea? Thanks in advance.
The jetter will not tear up the piped, however roots will. If the jetter can bust through the root clogs and you back flush out all of the debris, the roots will air prune. You could just a sewer snake for bad clogs. Pressure is one factor, but Gallons per minute is a larger factor. Bigger the better.
Good starter video with proper method for underground drain flush
Glad you liked it
All talk -- no action. SHOW us, don't tell us. Can't you do it with a simple garden hose?
You could try, I have found that pressure is needed to blast through roots and clogs.
Thanks make for making these videos and using time to educate man! I personally really appreciate your work Amen! Bless you with success and safety
My pleasure!
What's the cost of a job like that?
We charge a minimum of $100 per inlet.
Did not work. I don’t know what everybody else is doing. I even read peoples tips cannot get the slider back in and I just turned it around to use it without the hooks. It still does the same thing it catches the magnets and then as I’m pulling it down, it disengages again. Bottom line I’ll never buy another one of these doors.
Sorry you are struggling. Try to use a flat head screwdriver to gently pry the lip/grove the slider goes into.
Excellent excellent excellent explanation!!!
Glad it was helpful!
How much would something like this cost on a house like that
Depending on your area $100-$500.
Pretty genius... Wish I did it this way this year.
Look up "no wrap straps" it's what I use now.
@@divcleaningservice9522 Oh I like that! Thanks for the suggestion!
I did all that but the blinds only operate in the top quarter of the door. I get the two clicks and they seem to engage, but won't operate all the way up and down.
Try resetting the magnets by removing the sliding and putting it back in at the top.
What rooe system do you use?
Ridge Pro, Guarding lanyard, Guardian harness.
What harness do you use for 2nd story roofs and do you use that ridge pro with the harness?
Ridge Pro, Guarding lanyard, Guardian harness.
Mine blinds go up but won’t go back down. Is there a fix for this issue?
I'd try the method I showed in the video to reset the magnets.
How much does something like this cost? I live in NJ and I have a similar set up. Our yard is sod with clay and it’s not level. We have a house behind us that’s higher up on a hill. Our drains have standing water in them and the yard feels like a marsh.
It could be that the drain lines are not pitched properly and draining. You may need to install a sump pump and properly pitched lines.
What if i only get one click
Probably need to try again.
