  • Landscapers cover up a ground catch basin drain with sod, cut a drainage pipe, and damage a 3rd pipe that now has roots growing in it.

    Thank you for the rolling up the hose tip. My 100 ft roll needs to look like yours.

    Good video, we are a yard drainage company and run into this type jack leg stuff daily. The worst people to install drainage systems are the landscapers. (same with the retaining walls, they need to stick with cutting and weed eating)

      We ran into one yesterday where landscapers directed 2 downspouts into a drainage pit right at the base of the downspout. Water and debris had literally nowhere to go. They didn't want to route the pipes past the air condition unit. It caused water to sit next the the house foundation 100% of the time.

    Damn landscaper's! That's why we can't have anything nice. Lol
    How is that jetter holding up? I added this service wirh you planting the seed.

      Jetter is holding up good. The tips sometimes get clogged. I have an "ultrasonic" cleaner I throw small parts into. The hose off Amazon has not ruptured yet. I also ordered a new "pulsating" valve for the pressure washer that should improve jetter performance when breaking up clogs. Ill have a video on that after I get it installed.

    IDK if I'd recommend adding more FD when the system there now is having issues with ignored maintenance. Solid Smooth-wall discharges with a FD in-between two Catch basins that are also connected to solid-smooth-wall discharges might be the best option. Corrugated 4in needs 2.8% slope to achieve 3fps for self-cleaning capabilities where smooth-wall only needs .78% slope for the same self-cleaning 3fps.

      I always recommend solid/smooth. But very few people want to pay my prices. $15-20/ft. So they go with a cheaper option and end up having problems.

      @@divcleaningservice9522 I don't think corrugated can compete with smooth-wall if the system was comparing price per gallons moved-every-minute. Installing 4in corrugated-inner-walls at less than 2.8% slope is illegal in my city.

    Not going to lie, the tip at the end about how to roll up the power washing hose was worth the 9 Minutes of my life it used watching this video!
    What size power washer using to run your drain clean out? Is it just a normal power washer, or something special?

    • @divcleaningservice9522
      @divcleaningservice9522  3 года назад +1

      We have an 8gpm power washer. I have used 4gpm, it's just takes longer. I just purchased a special "jetter valve" but I have not used it on a job site yet. Should be in future videos.

    Hi Mr question to clean the gutters and the underground drains you charge separately and how much?

    • @divcleaningservice9522
      @divcleaningservice9522  3 года назад

      Yes we charge separately. Each job is different. We factor, size of home, distance from office, difficulty level. For underground drains we factor length of drains, and number.

      I "stole" it from Mike Braun at Gutter Maids. You should probably ask him. He is a buddy of mine and didn't mind me using it, but I don't know about others.
