"I have never seen anything like it"
I have, every day I play I miss that shot 20 percent of the time
I can proudly say: I play like a pro!
And maby better 🤔
hahahaha
@@samerbleik5475 oo
Indeed ☺️
Lol
2:57his hand was shaking dude…
Haha hihi
true
haha fucking pussy
@@nelson6488 lol
@@nelson6488 u could never start to imagine the pressure in some off these games its unthinkble sometimes ofc u woundt say this if u knew shitt about this sport hahahaha
The thing is when efren is missing a shot he is smiling only 😂
I was surprised to see him here.
He knows he is the best hahaha
yahh hehe
I love his smile😹😹😹
No possible efren to be here
Every amateur player should watch this. Don't put such a big burden of expectation on yourself
Yeah, I needed this. Been on a huge dry spell ever since my captain benched me at the Amateur World Championships in Vegas. I still make great shots and incredible runs but always choke just enough to lose the matches. I'm 1-9 in the current season for 8-ball and 9-ball combined even though I qualified last season for Best of the Best in 9. And I used to finish out seasons at 70% win rate or more. Now I'll be lucky for a 40%. I spend too much time telling myself that if I don't break and run more often than not, I'm not good enough.
Just gotta keep at I guess. The balls roll funny for everyone. Last night I was absolutely hopeless for about 2 hours. I missed like 6 shots in the same pocket and started thinking I was cursed or something. Then I started freewheeling and everything came together and I started stringing racks.
@@BaconFrisbee For sure. I've won 7 ghost 9 ball racks in a single hour just to turn around and win 0 in about 5 hours. I've only been playing for two years and have beaten people who have been playing for money for 20+ years. Just havebto be patient and build consistently. My best warmup is just throwing balls on the table and shooting anything with no rhyme or reason. I don't know why, but it builds my confidence immensely and dials in my stroke and I shoot low percentage shots during the warmup with confidence because there's nothing on the line. Just need it to translate over.
There's no better feeling than when you get in the zone and you feel like you can't miss. I had a game last night where there was about every shot you can imagine: a long thin cut down the rail past the side pocket, a cross corner bank, a carom, and a breakout shot on the 8. It was a really messy table, but I just fired at everything and got perfect shape
@@BaconFrisbee I agree. It's so surreal. And if you did it once, you can do it again.
2:53 that cut has me dying😂
Thank you for posting this! I just lost my regional 8ball championship by one missed shot😭 This video gives me hope to keep playing on. If Efren Reyes can keep going after it happened to him so can I👊🏽
Gl
Ouch, I did something similar.
damn i felt bad for that guy shaking lol
korean guy?
thats Alex Pagulayan from philippines. He's too Nervous for a tournament games. haha.
@@coronoy not pagulayan he wasn't shaking. the korean guy at 2:55. he needs a xanax lol
@@redkingoldhero38 No kidding, he was all over the place.
@@my86gt i have anxiety and shake in weird dumb situations so I know that feeling. my head can be clear and focused but my arms/hands just wont stop moving super frustrating
Sir Efren Reyes is the only player who smiles when he missed a shot 😄♥️ 4:13
2:18 shouldn't play when you're 8 months pregnant
Haha
😂😂😂😂😂
Savage 😂😂😂
Damn! I was fully expecting to see a pregnant woman... Nope! Lol!
Wtf!😂
If everyone always made every shot, pool would be boring.
If you want more videos like this I will be at Jeff's pool venue Saturday night, bring plenty of batteries and film. I will fix you right up
The Greek had me laughing for a while
Great comment hahahahaha
I love that some of the clips are really quiet and then some are REALLY LOUD. Great video
I think it would be fun to watch a tournament on old, worn-out tables with lots of divots, tears, and warping, complete with old chipped-up balls.
It would be a totally different game with more misses and more randomness, which would be an interesting challenge for pros who are used to playing with perfect balls on a perfect table. Heck, maybe some barroom player who knows how to navigate those challenges would come out on top, as I could see perfectionist-types really getting frustrated by having to play out of their element.
Lol this comment has aged nicely with the whole 10ball vegas tournament 2022 on the very unleveled predator tables
It's like watching Baseball or Football in bad weather. It changes the game immensely and is fun to watch.
I remember playing on an extremely shitty cloth and trying to do a draw shot, I had to murder the ball in order to get any. I'd love to watch these pros play on a shitty table just to see what happens.
@@bbplay13 Totally! I love bad-weather games too.
If I can find some investors, I want to create an alternative billiard tournament circuit designed for spectator entertainment instead of only catering to players, sponsors, and the 1,000 or so die-hards who have the patience to still watch American pocket billiards (and I think almost everyone who is a "fan" is also a tournament-level player, or a retired pro).
My friend has a hilariously quirky MFT table that is very challenging - slow finesse shots are always curveballs, and hard shots pop out of the pocket about 30% of the time. Pool snobs wouldn't get near that table, but we have a lot of fun, and I've learned a lot about table effects, such as why the best barroom hustlers tend to shoot with a bit more velocity than the pros.
@ju1u9emongaloid1 j And one drunk guy who volunteers bad advice, and gets offended if you ignore him.
Playing on shitty tables can be fun for a while, but if they are really bad it's unfair to everyone and just sucks
WOW!!! All these guys are World Class players. To see them miss like this hurts. Especially Efren, he rarely misses anything, let alone the 9 on an easy shot. Hey, we're only human, nobody's perfect. These guy are just damn close to perfect, well in pool.
Efren misses: Laughs
Earl misses: My hand was cold, the place was warm, the place was cold, the table was too new, the table was too old, the ball moved, I didn't get enough sleep, my hand was sore, the air conditioner was on, someone made a noise in the crowd, my opponent gave me a weird stare, the air was too thick, I slipped. Clearly Earl is the best player.
Where did Efren miss in this video? It was Ko Pin Yi who missed... but nevertheless.. Efren did miss shots in his career like everyone else.. it happens.
At 2:58 you can literally see him shaking from anxiety... look at his arm. No wonder he missed🥶
The score is 6-2 race to 7 he knows that if he miss that shot the game is over that's why the pressure is on😆
@@bagyotv5714 oh i know lol i was just pointing that out for people who don’t realize how much “pressure” can affect someone’s play
Not to mention he's from north korea. He knew what would come ,imagine what they did to him after missing that shot
I don't think I've ever seen someone that visibly stressed at the table. Maybe he's not used to playing in front of large crowd, or under pressure? But that was bad
@@ngoctaipham526 South Korea, look at the flag and the words SOUTH KOREA on the score
3:00 his elbow shakes like he has Parkinson's disease.
I'm unsure if it's actually parkinsons but that person does actually have a disease that makes them shake like that. Nerves might actually make it worse.
He had elbow surgery roughly a decade ago, shaking elbow might seems it's aftereffect.
how is he pro when he has a disease like that lol
2:58 poor guy you could see his back hand shaking
"Cmon, Wang!"....i say that every morning to my unit, when im having a whiz.
Kings make mistakes too and laugh it out no big deal
This actually makes me feel a little bit better about my gameplay. I miss easy shots all the damn time!
Alex missed at hill hill and immediately shook Shaw's hand, class act in my opinion!! :)
2:54 Watch Snooker and you will see that reactions like that are Fairly Normal for Ronnie O Sullivan.
Holy crap it took me a second to realize that was Ronnie. Never seen him play regular pool/billiards before.
Hes the Earl Strickland of snooker, flawless player but struggles to get their mental state in focus
that game where the clip came from is a staged game. he's playing that famous chinese female player pan xiaoting in chinese crowd. he missed so many on purpose.
im not even a snooker fan, that's just the reality of that game.
Now imagine them trying pot into snooker pockets.
2:55 his hand were shaking
I like looking at the audience reactions too haha
And also props to the ref for not absolutely freaking out like I would've.
I think this is what makes the game exciting, no shot can be taken for granted. Gotta love this video, makes us human.
4:52 already knew he would miss from his pre shot. Took it for granted. Deserve to miss hahah
Yeah he adjusted on his pre shot. The nerves absolutely got to him
Physics: happens
Commentator: ImPosSiBlE
1:15 its not an easy shot..it was not a straight shot.. He hit the rail first for better preparation
yes is not a simple miss
Have to maintain focus! Takes some of the sting out of my misses to see even the pros do it too...
Doesn't it though!
Its refreshing to watch miss compilations instead of best shots
It just gives us a glimmer of hope that maybe we will someday be that good.
Why in the hell would you completely ruin the final shots of the video by putting giant photo links directly over what I'm trying to watch?
this happens to me every time I get good position on the last ball
The solution is stop watching porn 😆😁
Well.. they are still a human..
Human do miss sometimes 😁
cyborgs also miss just to fool silly human. Lol.
2:57 he's hand is shaking as he went out of freezer. Never saw this
I have missed bazillions of easy straight up shots but kinda surprised at the folks who lined up their sticks almost at table level and didn't think the cue ball might lift...
2:31 FYI that's a stupid way to play a shot with the last ball hanging in the pocket. Especially when you can just play a little draw going back & forth across the table. Not sure what Ronnie was thinking.
Think he just wanted to eye up the lass he was playing. He gets a better view
my cycle: *day 1* play really well, get cocky. *day 2* play badly, get mad and rage quit. *day 3* lower expectations. *day 1*
So true. After many cycles slowly get better
Even if the GOAT of Pool Efren Reyes missed a shot!! Nobody's perfect! 👍 RESPECT the Pro's 🎱
Has this video been edited down? I swear the end used to include some shots from a match with Efren Reyes
0:57
That handshakes
A lot of these people missed because of pressure. Happens to the best of us.
Professional biliard seem to be tough sport. Whenever you miss, the whole audience sighs with disbelief quite loudly, followed by silence and then the commentator says: "I'm not surprised." 😸
Even the magician fails. Lol. Still the best efren reyes!
2:56 I feel bad for this guy. His arm is Shaking bad from nerves!
The Pagulayan one was a pretty bitter accident. Even Shaw looked bitter by a win like that....
6:21 Was it legal to put a lamp under the table like that? It looked like it shone right to his right eye. Can't be ideal when aiming a very important ball like that....
I feel like it was a shame thing, he missed such an easy shot that even if Shaw ended up missing and he got another chance the win would have been soured by the previous failure.
lot of people talking about efren.. where is he?
thank you for the humble reminder
Efren at 4:11...WTH...and people tell ME I am up and halfway to the next shot before the ball is halfway to the object ball! (My wife just said, "you are, you're bad about it"..see? I have never seen him do anything like that. Weird...almost like he lost his balance or just knew he had delivered crap for a shot almost before it was off the tip. See, even arguably the best player in the world is capable of nonsense. Makes me feel somewhat better. I was watching Tommy Kennedy practice one day and it was an ultra simple shot. He missed the object ball, which was just a couple of feet away, and about a 30 deg shot. He looked up at me with a strange expression and said "I missed the whole ball". That kind of stuff makes me, a middle of the road amateur feel less embarrassed by some of my bonehead maneuvers. I thanked him. Even "pool gods" are not infallible.
“Disbelief is the only word” lmao
A few of these ARE more missable than it seems at first glance, even by pros, on rare occasions, especially when they are really having to move a cue ball, so the shot is hit hard, and the pocket needs significant cheating. All it really takes is a momentary lapse in concentration.
The guy at 1:10 was playing off the rail - he got perfect position, the pool gods just didn’t let it go in!
Always remember- Any shot can be made but, any shot can be missed.
Goes to show you even the BEST in the world can make mistakes.
Remember this whenever you're playing someone who is a better shot.
Players having a bad time finding their strokes due to the timer.
2:56 is he ok? Can't be that nervous?
Ill never forget when earl strickland said he lost a match he was playing because it was to cold in the room😂😂😂😂😂
This is really nice to see. I thought I was the only person who blew easy shots.
I need this video saved for a cheer-me-up after a horrible day around the bar tables. Just for a gut splitting laugh to quit moping around about feeling shamed. This was a real L.O.L. for me XD
this makes me feel a lot better watching these pro's miss cue
Basically, me and pros have the same issue of missing the money ball, but instead of 9 it's the 2 that gets me.
Difference between a diamond a Rasson table at 1:30. This is why I like diamond pro cut tables.
2:55 I've been there! Hands shaking so bad it was going to be a miracle if I made it. And it was a C tournament!
While a miscue is technically a miss, I don't think it's really the same thing. Everybody miscues once in a while. It's like getting a kick in Snooker or a wild throw in baseball. It's not really what I think of, or mean, when I hear or say "miss."
Karl's shot on the 8 at the beginning or Alex's shot on the 9 at 0:47 are misses.
Even I could miss those shots.
darn, Efren'loss is still legendary!
"thumb up" Ronnie, unmistakable.
2:57 his hand is really shaking
may nervous din pala si efren.akal ko wla.hehe.
Sana nga
Haha Sa side talaga pinapasok no efren
S side LNG tlga gsto iphulog n bata un,kya LNG hndi tlga pmasok pero kng mlaking tournament un wla mintis
most of these shots look like they are adding spin to the cue and not anticipating any deflection to occur. Super easy fix if you know how to correct it.
I'm not a pro,but I play lot of pool, and one thing I've learned with game playing competition or another person , the mental aspect can outweigh the skill aspect of the game.
3:00 shaking his hand because hes nervous
HAS TREMORS
Alex the lion pagalayan still kills me. such a great match and he chocked, I felt so bad.
You could do a whole video only with SVB missing shots in the Mosconi Cup.
1:15 wasn't an easy shot. He wanted to play rail first
Yes but that distance and how far away the pocket is, it's not hard.
Its one thing to miss a shot..but when you miss an easy last ball on a hill hill match.it will haunt you.
2:17 shrek is that you 😂
oh no pagulayan. heartbreak.😂
What game was that with Ronnie playing 9ball?
This is the shit that happens to me when I try to put backspin on the cue ball. Ho ass ball just wants to jump half the time.
What year is the clip at 2:31 taken from ? Does anyone know the year or the tournament ? It looks like it's around 2012 from Ronnie's hairstyle but not sure...I'd love to find out when this was cous it'd be really interesting to see if he did this in the year he took off from snooker between winning world titles which is fucking hilariousness incarnate for anyone who isn't on the other side of the tables lol...
And then outta nowhere Efrain Reyes defies the title of this video by obviously making a clutch game winning shit lol
2:57 his arm was shaky and scared
ayden gaines No mate, he just did some surgery. Now he is completly switch hand to play. Very impressive
The one at 1:11 doesn't really belong. He got too straight in to get shape on the 7 so he played an intentional rail first shot... very missable.
0:39 that cue ball be like " FUCK THIS SHIT IM OUT"
0:35 is the funniest of them all
Sarang tamirisa which ones that one from?
You could almost hear someone from the background say “dayum”
2:55 his hand is shaking badly 🤦🏻♂️
Minute 2.58,I'm trembling. Hahahs
This happened to me in 8 ball pool in my phone.
Essas caçapas são GIGANTES e os caras ainda conseguem errar essas bolas.
I'm beginning to feel much better.
efren misses a shot... and still he is cheered by the crowd... that's the sign of a true great player... 👍👍👌👌
Efren has missed a lot of easy shots that is why he is the greatest.
Only efren was smiling after missing the shot...:
2:58 it is cold here....
2:57 Wow, look at that arm trembling! No wonder he missed!
Look at the hand of the player at 2:57 it was shaking like crazy.
Those rail shots are always tougher
at 1:15 its not as bad as it seems as he was obviously, rather than shoot it straight in, trying to play the cue ball off of the cushion for better placement on his next shot.
I should be a shark
