@Amir Dariel i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
It was a joke. John Morra was a right hand player, but recently he changed his game and started playing with his left hand. Boyes was commenting in this tournament with Phil Yates. Boyes was commenting about Morra's situation, and he said about himself that he (Boyes) can play basic shots with his left hand, but he can really control the cue ball, making him play like Phil Yates. He was insinuating that Phil can't really play. Phil was right next to him, and said that he's applying for divorce, meaning that he wants another partner in the commentating box, because Boyes just made fun of him.
Haha! I get the joke! It’s a reference to 8-Ball Pool by Miniclip! In the game there are different classes of cues and the best is legendary and also the guy hit the ball really hard! That’s really funny and witty! I play that game! Haha! That one was really relatable! Lmao!
@@BenTen-jt4wt well, that's a subjective opinion and I don't agree. If it's ugly perhaps we should penalize players for walking "in a non beautiful way" around the table instead of beautifully dance around it😁. As for the "too easy" I don't think that's true either. All my opinions and I respectfully disagree with your ones.
I don't blame He for the last shot. When you jump your head is at an angle that it is very hard to look down the table, I am sure he didn't see the 8 move, plus it moved so little that it wasn't obvious... again, especially when looking down. Now, the ref should had spotted that, I'm not gonna argue that.
Many say that jump cues make it too easy to escape safes and de-emphasize the geometric aspect of the game, but on the other side of that coin, they require players to step up their safety game and develop a more refined touch to leave the ball closer to blockers. In high pressure tournament situations it's easy to over-hit jumps in an effort to ensure they clear the obstruction balls, which is what I think caused most of the fouls that we see here. Jump shots can be technically demanding and they can add an element of excitement to a broader audience, as well as helping the industry by selling more cues, so I'm not against them. For purists though, a carefully hit multi-rail kick through traffic with just the right english is always preferable.
Jose Gutierrez he accidentally nudged the 8 ball while jumping over it to get to the 1 ball. In 9 and 10 ball pool the cue ball (white ball) must contact the lowest numbered ball then any ball on the table must contact a rail (cushion) or else it is considered a foul. Yes it is hard to see but if you watch it on repeat a couple of times you’ll notice it!
@@pushpool4114 there is a video where david alcaide was playing with friends, im not sure tho. efren was watching and David Alcaide's next shot is snookered and he asked efren to take the shot dor him. efren took the shot and sunk the object ball.
2:15 does that count as one foul or 2? and if its one, what would happen if you were to, say, double hit and hit a ball off the table in the same shot?

Efren Reyes (The Goat) said that jump cues are becoming more popular, a technique that undermine's safety plays and defense and takes away the thinking aspect of the game.. -Efren Reyes(GOAT)
I think the commentator is right, De Luna went over the time limit right? (assuming you have to stroke before the fast beeps start which he clearly didn't).
Pity he's an awful player! Jeffrey De Luckbox, both those shots were flukes and he gives himself false credit, he cost Phillipine's the final against Austria, Carlo looked annoyed throughout..............have never seen him play well in a match
0:35 if you played that kind of fluke without apologising to your opponent in the UK you would be considered a disgrace....all it takes is to acknowledge a fluke, just manners.
Totally agree mate, De Luna (or De Luckbox, terrible player!) also cheered and applauded when the cue ball went down for Austria in the final, he lacks class, respect and ultimately talent, his bank on shot clock was a fluke, his 'double shot' was a fluke too, have watched him play a few times now and he is not good, cost Carlo the final with terrible position and awful shot selection
Presumably they are playing 9 ball where you pot the balls in number order and so he was jumping the 8 ball black when going for the 1 ball yellow. If you go to 6:38 and look at the white circle and number 8 on the black ball, it moves slightly as the cue ball brushes it when jumping over.
I'm curious on the last shot by Mario. Yes of course the eight ball did move a bit, no doubt about it. But did the cue ball touch the eight, while airborne pass it.. I'm not sure, can't clearly see it.. ????????????
That last shot where it said it was a foul shot... Was probably just the table moving that ball a little bit. If he jumped and hit the 8 ... It would have moved more then that for sure. My opinion at least. 6:34 shows it going over clean in the edit rewinds. It's probably the pressure of the shot that makes it move slightly if at all...
Jump shot at the end was not a foul. Cue ball never touched the eight. My best guess is that air caused by the jump caused it to move. You can clearly see the height it jumps.
I cant make it through a pool video without someone making an efren comment. I bet you would lick his shoes clean. I also would bet that you would say everytime he misses a shot, he does it on purpose for strategy.
if VAR were to be used, then Mario He's jump attempt will be waived off and called a foul right off the bat... gotta have some really sharp eye contact with the balls
Makhsim M he couldn’t get over his partners scratch mistake. Even after they were out of the tournament, he was still holding a grudge even up in the stands.
One day, I play 9ball pool & i accidently kick shot 9 ball at side pocket after hit 4 ball aiming to corner pocket, btw i got snookered behind 9 ball soo I used rail kick shot. Lol
Why is John Morra shooting left handed when he is a righty!!!! Good to see he can play at that level with either hand..But then again he comes from a family of pool players... His father was and probably still is the best i’ve ever seen playing snooker one handed...
He had a severe medical issue that forced him out of the game for about a year and damaged his dominant hand/eye coordination, so he taught himself to play with his other hand.

That's why efren reyes doesn't use Jump cue. Pure skilled minded individual with a wide knowledge of the pool table.

There are a lot of jump shots that saves the day though. I'm sure you can collect quite a few missed kick shots in a tournament as well.
Jump shots ruin the game! That is why I love Efren, kick shots are fun to watch and jump shots are bullshit!

Yeah, and it moved in a straight line away from the players point of view so even harder to notice for him.
Yeah I actually missed the first look as well.
I didn't even see it move until the top view, imagine how hard it would be for anyone else there to see. Still, it's definitely a ref issue
