  • Cold autumn days come suddenly. And my little girl has grown over the summer and needs new warm hats.
The beret consists of 10 simplest sections. I decided to divide the sections with braids of puff stitches. The rest of the pattern, as you can see, is the simplest - with double crochets (dc).

Thank you very much. I'm trying this pattern with a tonal pink wool yarn, and so far it is beautiful.

The chart is GOOD but I still like the writing of the pattern and how it's done too. I want to know if it for LADIES or girls. Ooh I used an F hook

Hi this is a lovely pattern, do you have any tips for the sizing? what size should this pattern fit & I would like to try it for a six year old girl.

I love the pattern, but it's way too big for my head. I have to find a way to make the band tighter or I can frog the whole thing and start again

Beautiful hat! Is this for a child or adult? Should I begin with 12 sc for adult size?

I know your comment is already 9 months old but maybe you still read/need the answer. 😊
So: No matter if you make it for an adult or a child, you always start like they do it in the video (means same amount of stitches) because that's how you create a circle. If you started with more stitches the circle would become "wavy".
For an adult you make a bigger circle (like in the video but it also depends on your yarn), for a child you simply stop earlier with the increases so your circle is smaller. After that you go on with decreasing.
