Mooossssttttt excellent video!!!!!!! Straight to the point and without all the BS channel intro crap. Loved it and used it for tear down of my Colt MKIV.
Excellent assembly and reassembly. Just tried the video for the reassembly of my Sig Sauer 1911 Spartan 2 and it worked the first time! I watched two other videos and they were confusing and wrong for my pistol. For some reason there are no videos on RUclips specifically designed for my pistol. The only recommendation I have is racking the slide back a few times to ensure proper assembly. Well done!
Im thinking about get a series 70 1911, it looks has a short trigger that is what I want. I had a s&w 910 which is my one and only experience with semi auto pistol, very disappointed.
Getting that pin in place during reassembly routinely gives me troubles. I love this handgun, and I own three different major manufacturers of automatic handguns, but this one is the most difficult to reassemble for me
Thanks Terry, it's good to reinforce safety. FYI, it's not a head cam, and the opening disclaimer does explain the firearms were checked prior to filming. That said, this is a great place to remind everyone of Jeff Coopers 4 safety rules, particularly rule 2: Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
Clearing the action first on any firearm is an absolute must. It is one of those details that should never be overlooked. Speaking of overlooked details, you may not have noticed the intro states that all firearms in this series have been checked for safety (cleared) and many are in fact disabled to be made inoperable. We are leaving this comment up though as it reinforces a very important point when it comes to firearms safety. Thank you for watching, commenting and keeping safety at the forefront.
Your not the first person, and likely not the last to mention this. This was an early video in our RUclips career and we promise to do better moving forward ;-)

Thank you for allowing me to turn my pile of parts back into a pistol.

Glad you found it useful!
Beautifully made video. Thank you!
Yep just KNEW I was doing something wrong in the reassembly...............got it down slick now BIG thanks!
Happy this helped!
I believe it would be safer to rack the slide and look in the chamber to verify that there is no round in the chamber before proceeding
Mine only rotates counterclockwise. It does not go clockwise for the spring to come out. I’ve tried everything.
Wonderful instruction. Quality.
Excellent video.
Great video thank you
Much obliged and thank you.

I’m thinking of buying this kind not sure how much they go for. My friend is selling his at 3,100 here in California. Worth it or no?
It's a great pistol but imo I wouldn't pay that much, get yourself a Wilson Combat or Les Baer for that price
I live in Kentucky, last one I saw was $1100.00. That was about 3 years ago.
How much the selling price Colt MK IV cal 45
I just picked 1 up just like this for $495. I live in Pennsylvania.

DAAAANNM!!! You looked down the business end of the barrel before you checked to see if there was a round in the gun!!
