Hi I appreciate these videos very much ., Yet.. I'm a bit confused as to if these exercises are not meant to correct or try to slow down the progression why exactly are we doing them?

Great question! Many of those with Scoliosis have back pain or are lacking good posture. These definitely help with that. Also, weakness can be a contributer to progression so this helps to address that. Having stronger muscles helps to reduce the effect of gravity on the spine. Hope that helps!

I notice you are doing side planks on BOTH sides. Is that okay to do? I understand it is important to work the convex side more. Is that correct?

I had the same question as the last. I was told only to do side planks on the convex side? You don’t mention that here.

Interesting about the shoulder. I started swimming long distance crawl at 46 years old and only then did I start having pain in my right shoulder (spine curved just like Sammy's). Sometimes up to the point where I couldn't bring a glass of water to my mouth. Scoliosis is really multi-layered and multifaceted.

    Great exercises!
I also give my patients exercises to develop strength, balance, proprioceptive exercises, to develop flexibility if the scoliosis is rigid, coordination exercises. And this is all with Schroth therapy and SEAS exercises.
Specific exercises for the treatment of scoliosis, unfortunately, cannot cover the development of all these qualities.
With respect to your work and what you share with us❤
