안녕하세요. Kia ora from New Zealand. Thank you for the super duper interesting lesson! 정말 감사합니다. The statistics seem right. Just a comment not a criticism: Roman Catholics are Christians too as they are followers of Jesus Christ as they have been around way longer than Protestants. Us Christians are a diverse bunch! Wishing you all the best on your respective Spiritual journeys. Be kind to each other and our precious natural environment. God bless
Interesting topic. 감사합니다 for teaching us new words. 😊 Years ago, at the World Youth Day in Rio/Brazil, I saw a family of Koreans watching my group of friends dancing. It stuck in my memory because they were smiling to us, I kept thinking about the fact that they traveled so far to join us and I prayed for them to have a good and peaceful stay in Rio. So now I've learned that in addition to coming from the other side of the world, my brothers in the faith were part of that 13% of South Korean 천주교. ^^
Omg I love your Korean flag drawing so much! 🥺❤️❤️ Also I noticed the symbol 교 used in the word “학교”, so that makes a lot of sense. :) Btw does anyone know how do you say “Jewish” and “Hinduism” in Korean?

Buddhism is most respected and loved religion in South korea because buddhism gives freedom to people and Buddhist people can be athiest whereas in protestant Christianity not those catholic ones but in Protestantism they actually lead lot of cults so majority Koreans don't like Protestantism alot... Buddhism more respected and then Catholics are little bit respected so you will majority people in korea have link with buddhism culture because people don't follow it as religion whether it's in korea china or any country this is the fact
The fact that being kind and considerate are one of the many principles they teach in most of every religions I know. Yet, those who *does have* religion are those who tends to attack other people more cause they disagree to those people who doesn’t agree with them.
I don't know what my religion is. I've been questioning a lot lately. I've actually started thinking what if every religion is right? Each person, depending on what they believe in goes to their respective afterlife, whether it be reincarnation or heaven or hell or nowhere? I don't know what that would make me though. It's confusing. What I do know is that I no longer believe in what I was taught as a child and that no matter what religion you practice and believe in, everyone should be nice to each other. There should be no judgment because there's no way to know who is right about religion. It all comes to down to your own experience. We shouldn't judge people for their experiences or beliefs. Everyone is different.
There is no way to know anything with 100% certainty except maybe the fact that we exist. But through logical reasoning and probabilities you can determine which religion is the most likely to be true. Of course we still have to be respectful to everyone regardless of their beliefs but still we shouldn’t just give up and assume that we can’t get to the truth. Just a bit of advice if you still have the motivation and curiosity and are looking for the truth.
@@Handle0108 I am still curious. Here's the thing though. For me, I'm more curious about the learning about the details and the stories and all that of each religion than following a single one. Personally, I don't know what feels true for me. None of the things that I've learned feel right for me. I live my life as if I were atheist, but I do believe in a God. I just don't know what God that is. I pray only when I'm having a crisis but never every day. It's complicated and because of that, that's why I don't know what is true and what isn't. I do agree with you though in that we need to be respectful of others and their beliefs
@@michellduarte8643 I would say pray even if you are not in crisis and hope for the best from God to guide you to him. If you have an honest heart that is seeking the truth you will inevitably find it wherever it may be. If you want something to actually help you in getting closer to the true god besides I guess vague spirituality then it may be a good idea to look at some religions, you may have to look outside what you’re used to, which is why you might have not been able to find one that is true for you. You could probably start with the most common ones and then work your way down. Look at what they present to you and their core beliefs and their evidences if there are any and then you can probably find one that you think is most logical to you and study it deeper. The road to the “truth” might be a long one and you might have to take different paths to get there but it just requires an unbiased/honest mind and the will to get to it even if it’s where you least expect it. I personally feel that if there is a God, it would be most logical that they have given us a guidance of some sort for us to get closer to them and not just abandoned us without any leads.
@@Handle0108 thank you. When it comes to religion, that's the most comforting thing anyone has ever said to me. I think I will do some research. And if I can't find anything, then at least I'll have learned something, which I'm always up for

This is an interesting breakdown considering that Korea is historically also a Confucius country as well as one that helped introduce Buddhism to Japan. I wonder how many of the majority of South Koreans who say they have no religion still follow Confucius principles. Korea also has a rich history of Shamanism, especially in the countryside, which now is in the 1% along with Taoism. The first Christians in Korea were the Portuguese, who translated the bible and brought Catholicism. Christianity existed but was repressed until after the Korean War which saw a great influx of Protestant missionaries to the South who founded schools and hospitals as well as churches. This is why there are more Protestants than Catholics in South Korea. I was a missionary in South Korea during the 1970's and the numbers on this chart are very different from what they were in then. There has been a significant decline in Buddhists.

I stumbled upon your channel and I couldn't stop watching all of your videos, I'd rewatch it all and learn all of them religiously
