    To be honest, maybe you dont have a shit ton of views, but your videos are very helpful. Im starting to work on mine prelude so i watched like 3/4 channel already. Great work and keep it up :D

      Thanks that means a lot. I try to focus on making videos that help people as much as possible and then hopefully the views add up later. I also enjoy helping people and working on cars so that's enough for me.

      @@automotiveobsession7265 btw, check out hondash if you need any more informations in prelude. I ordered mine but from what i've seen you get a bunch of info like exact water temperature etc and its not expensive

    Great video man! I have a 2000 prelude that's having the famous 2-3k hesitation when trying to accelerate or rev at idle, a lot of people are saying it's because of clogged egr ports. Can you make a video on how to clean those out? 😅 I'm a little nervous about doing it myself.

      Thanks. Here is a link to a youtube short I made on how to clean the EGR ports - ruclips.net/user/shortswW3dIWbRuYI and here is a longer video I made on how to clean the EGR ports - ruclips.net/video/A5iIGOyXaEg/видео.html

      Thanks. Clean up the engine bay and enjoy the prelude it's still an underappreciated chassis but I have a feeling it's not going to stay like that for long now that the new generation has been announced. More videos coming soon. Stay tuned.

    while normal driving today, my transmission got messed up. I am sure I didn't mess up while driving as I was driving at like 20-30 mph in gear 4. I do not think I can keep going as I have already put more money into the car for repairs than the car is worth.

    • @automotiveobsession7265
      @automotiveobsession7265  Год назад +1

      Sorry to hear that. I felt the same way when I had to repair my transmission. Sometimes we have to make the hard choice of when to move on even when we still want to keep our project cars. I know it sucks.

    Can a bad fuel filter cause crank no start?

    • @automotiveobsession7265
      @automotiveobsession7265  Год назад

      Yes. If it's really badly clogged than it can prevent the engine from getting enough fuel.

    Where does the coolant hose coming off of the thermostat housing go on the IM

    • @automotiveobsession7265
      @automotiveobsession7265  Год назад

      I don't see any hose that goes from the thermostat to the intake manifold. Can you please explain with more detail what hose you're referring to?

    • @Starkiller-sr6tw
      @Starkiller-sr6tw 10 месяцев назад

      The thermostat doesn’t go to the intake, it’s a hose leading to the radiator

    I would like to kno how did the tranny swap came out and what troubles it gave doing it like worse parts or issues

    • @automotiveobsession7265
      @automotiveobsession7265  11 месяцев назад

      First, the most time consuming thing was sourcing all the parts. After that it was finding a shop that would do the swap correctly. I was not able to do the swap myself because I just don't have the space to work on the car for a job that big. The only thing that I did not change was the odometer and now the D4 light is always flashing but other than that I've had zero issues with the swap.

    is this the same procedure for the sh

    • @automotiveobsession7265
      @automotiveobsession7265  Год назад +1

      I believe the biggest difference with the SH is that the ATTS box is mounted close to the oil filter at rear bottom part of the engine not allowing you to access the manifold from the bottom of the car. If you look at the end of the video @11:34 you will see that I explain and show all the nuts holding the manifold to the cylinder head from the bottom in that area to the right is where the ATTS box is located on the SH which would basically not allow you to have any room to work in an already really cramped area.

  • @Chillingnutslap

    The bottom 5 were seized cause you removed the top ones first

    • @AnthraxxRc
      @AnthraxxRc 11 месяцев назад

      So do the bottom first bet good to know thinking about taking mine off to clean the egr ports without taking the freeze plugs out

    • @automotiveobsession7265
      @automotiveobsession7265  11 месяцев назад

      That could be the reason but not sure if I said this in the video from looking at the manifold it looked like it had never been removed since new. When I took the car to the shop where they were able to remove it the tech told me the bottom 5 nuts were seized and that he had to use a torch. I put the top 5 on before taking the car to the shop. Thanks for the heads up.

      @@automotiveobsession7265 okay cool I’ll start with bottom when I try it on mine and instead of pulling my freeze plugs I’ll try through the two ports where the egr sits and run shit 10 cans of if I got to through it to get it clean and I noticed instead of pulling the vacuum lines from the intake tube couldn’t you just leave them attached to it and just remove the lines from the intake it’s self?
