- FINALLY the nyc apartment search is over!!!! In this (chatty) moving to nyc series (vol 8), we apply to additional nyc apartments and make hard decisions. Emotions are high and the uncertainty with other external factors make the whole week tumultuous!!! YAY!!! I am so relived that the search is over. THANK YOU so much for being part of this journey and for your support ❤ I really didn’t expect for this part of the series to be this long but it’s over now. Thank you for being patient! I know the current content has been so focused on this but with my full time corporate job and apartment hunting it has been hard to vlog anything else. I live in Brooklyn in a small apartment that is privately owned and my landlord is a gem. I have found private landlords to be so much better than large management companies, so I hope you have the same experience!
How did you find your private landlord?
@@Fattestcoochieevah I went through a real estate agent to find my apartment- she only handled properties in my exact neighborhood so she was able to direct us to the best places and knew all the locals

didnt expect this round of apartment hunting to go this long!!! for the first move, I think I had viewed approx 13 apartments but again my experience with that apartment was horrendous. Thank you so much. I am also glad that I didn't settle ❤

CONGRATS on finally getting one! I think this apartment is a great choice! I like the wood around the kitchen, and you can't beat having a sunny view either. This whole process is bonkers, isn't it. The brokers and their fees are nutty, IMO, but what can you do. I live in a walkup too (3 floors) and you get used to it. I hope you and Chapi (sp?) enjoy your new home and thanks for sharing the process of finding a place in NYC!

There are actually a few Nepalese restaurants in midtown. I tried one of them and absolutely loved it! Honestly when I saw this apartment it was an instant favourite and top choice for me, I was actually surprised when you weren’t that excited about it 🥲 Sooo happy for you!
