Many people here found the right words to say. I will just send you a heartfelt hug, wish you safe travels, and do some fun things out there! The art is perfect. It speaks of fresh ideas and expansion. We can all use a bit of that vibe, I think. The pandemic left us with some dark corners in our psyches, filling our homes with things of fresh vision can be uplifting.

Gail, your feelings are totally valid. Time marches on so fast. One of my friends passed away unexpectedly 3 days ago and I had seen her on June 1 the day I went to another friend’s funeral. So, yes, two friends in a couple of weeks. I am still in shock. You are brave and good. I hope you enjoy your apartment and it feels like home when you return from your trips. Hugs ❣️

Your found art is pretty perfect for your space. Your vision was spot on. As for your emotional breakdown, you’ve had a lot on your plate, and you have a lot going forward. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed, and to be honest I’ve found that a tearburst is both necessary and therapeutic in and of itself. Your mind and body needed that reset. It happened, and it helped, and that particular battle has been won.

Personally I get terribly annoyed by people that chew loud AND I cannot tolerate loud motorcycles or cars/trucks that startle the stuffing out of me! But I can see by your demeanor and how you present yourself of camera, that you are laid back and chill, so for you that must’ve been uneasy to feel so “triggered!” Alas, the mood has passed and all is copacetic once again!
The art piece is perfection in your decor! You have such a good eye for style and design I think you could have a new career in home interior consulting. Or shopping for others! Can you imagine the cost of something that large were you to buy it? What an awesome find.
I hope you can enjoy the upcoming week not feeling any pressure to do “apartment stuff” unless you want to, of course!

Hi Gail! I love the art work…it’s perfect in your apartment which is shaping up beautifully. My daughter lost two babies before having my grandson who just turned 18. She was 35 when he was born and it was a high risk pregnancy. We put so much pressure on ourselves…work, decorating, having children, aging, etc…it’s relentless. Sometimes a good cry does help. Dear Gail, I initially had doubts about the art work, but the painted and mounted piece looks great over your sofa. I remember that a popular 70's movie, An Unmarried Woman, ends with the title character lugging a huge painting along the sidewalks of NYC. Sorry that you have had a tough few days. I already think of you as a friend, and, from just reading some of the earlier comments, you have developed a very caring community. Wishing you better days ahead and safe travels.

The wall art is perfect! I feel for you regarding the years slipping away, although I don't think you need worry too much just yet. It took us five years to get pregnant with our eldest daughter, and then the fertility drug for our second. I was 31 and 34. I have a niece who had her husband to be call off the wedding, and as she thought her time was slipping away, went it alone with artificial insemination. She's never married but has a teenage daughter now. I guess I'm trying to say look at the positives and try not to let things get you down too much. And yes, therapy can be brilliant. Good luck, whatever you decide. xx

Discovering your channel has been a blessing for me. I want to affirm that your feelings are completely valid, darling. You are young, healthy, and athletic. Always strive to maintain a positive outlook, cherishing the thought of having your children and your soulmate.
I understand your concerns about getting older, these medical meeting can indeed be overwhelming and sometimes lead to distressing thought spirals. However, I am confident that you will be just fine when the time comes. I had my son at 21, and my career flourished. Raising him alone was a challenge, and then 19 years later, I had my daughter-I was almost 40. It may seem crazy, but it was my journey. I was saddened to see how this has affected you.
I'm thrilled to hear that you’re visiting the Pacific Northwest. I live in Oregon and I’m certain you’ll love it here! If your travels bring you to Southern Oregon, I live in the forest on Mt. Ashland, right on the Pacific Crest Trail. We have a beautiful campground with hot showers, hiking, and mountain biking. Our property spans 121 acres, close to the ski resort at an elevation of 5800 feet. It’s a stunning place where we’ve had plenty of fun, although we do need to escape the heavy snow in winter due to my partner’s treatments.
Have a safe trip, and please let me know which parts of Oregon you’ll be visiting. Thank you for your support; you are a complete doll, and I'm glad you reached out to Better Help. Gail just know that we all have times that we feel overwhelmed and we try to tackle them alone, it’s ok to discuss them with someone you trust if you can’t conquer them on your own, or like you said a Good Cry can do wonders to settle your emotions. Your new art piece is just what your empty wall needed, and the best part is that it was Free! I so enjoy your videos every week and I am a 72 year old woman! I have always wanted to visit New York and your videos let me do that and also to know what it takes to live in New York. Boy do I take simple things for granted, like you having to take the subway just get paint, instead of hopping in my car and driving to the paint store! Honestly though it makes your life seem so free and thrilling!!

Life can be hard sometimes . And like another poster said, we can put a lot of pressure on ourselves. And although your best friend’s wedding is a great thing, that milestone, combined with the seminar, can turn into something that feels like a lack or a comparison (hopefully I’m not putting words in your mouth). It often helps to acknowledge and accept what we’re feeling and cry it out. Hugs to you and good luck with your travels!

I felt sad on Sunday without any particular reason. Sometimes work, life, problems get too much for your brain to handle and I guess it reacts with random emotions so you stop and reset. I always try to focus on all the good stuff in my life and what I am grateful for and most times it gets me out of it and I feel ok. 😊 love the piece of art. I would have totally taken that home as well. It looks so good!

I think that no matter what age we are, we all reach those moments when stress, expectations (ours & others), work load, time pressure…oh yeah I already said stress! lol
Well, it does reach a tipping point. I’m 66. Going through menopause. I’m cycling 2xs a month now & my normally pretty stable emotional balance has been a roller coaster ride. I relate to being highly irritated by things I normally shrug off. So exasperating. When I feel like crying, throwing something, screaming…I seclude myself & escape in a movie, a book, doing something creative. Just as you did. After a bit I come back & find I can analyze my emotional state & thought processes.
So, reading the comments & listening to your experience, I’d say we all face it & at any age. We are all in good company with one another. My faith helps me a lot. My best friend is a great listener. Sometimes just voicing it out loud, as you did with us, or noting it in a journal is enough to clear the emotional fog. Hang in there. You can’t see us but you’re in our thoughts & prayers.

I went through fertility treatments. I had “undiagnosed” fertility issues, which means I should have gotten pregnant but didn’t. I was in my 30’s then. My doctor told me that women can have issues at any age. I know eggs age and risks go up. Now I have three grown daughters that came about through IVF. I am so grateful that it worked for me. Yes, we looked into adopting, but there are many reasons it didn’t happen. I guess I’m just trying to say don’t let the age thing get you down. I know people who have had healthy babies into their forties. Everyone is different.

You are usually very chill…I wonder if its near your monthly, because many things affect females around that time with mood swings and a whole host of things…things that you’d normally be able to deal with more easily. That with surmounting issues and overload will do a girl in! Be compassionate with yourself and “this (things) too will pass”. Thanks for sharing and you are doing great in life. Just enjoy the journey…thats really what life is about. Not the end game.

Hi Gail, this is the first time I came across your channel. I just wanted to let you know that I didn't marry till I was 29. I had my first daughter aged 35, and second one aged 40. Both are healthy and intelligent. I know numerous women who didn't have children until their 30's / early forties due to their careers and not meeting their husbands until their thirties, and they all have super intelligent and healthy children too:)

It’s okay if you don’t finish decorating your apartment right away. I’ve been in mine 5+ years and I still don’t have anything over the fireplace. It’s also hard being a single woman sometimes. It would be nice to have help without asking for it and a million other things that go through our minds. Going to weddings and all the things can be hard too. I can see where the IVF presentation would be triggering. Take care and take a little time for you. Love the artwork!

Baskets...good idea for the fridge!..IMHO I would put another sheer on the lower half of that Bedroom window just for the sake of privacy & peeping toms!!!! You can use a tension rod to hold it in. It will still let light in. I have a 3yr. old IVF grand daughter from my single daughter She was 45yrs. when she started AND went overseas to do it....it's about 1/3 the price than having it done in the U.S. The clinic in Athens, GR is where has a high sucess rate over other European countries & that's were the gals wind up going if it's not happening in their countries or were told no.

I’m 64 and have fibromyalgia which I cope with mostly then last week I got a pain in my chest saw dr all appears ok it’s probably fibro pain but I realised how my suddenly my mortality was real and it kicked in how little time I may have I sobbed myself out then I finally realised yes I could die tmw but so could anyone of us enjoyed video and arts great look after yourself like ve from England
