    For a few years he was the greatest in the world, and he did it with a style and flair which made a whole generation fall in love with the beautiful game.
    The crazy part is he did this while partying and drinking pretty much 5-6 days a week, man was pure talent.
    Many of the players in this video he made look like kids, is some of the greats of the game, absolutely insane player in his prime.

    He grow up playing on dirt and conceret streets with potholes, was playing for club but also and futsball(5-5 version on small pitch), he is proof what person can do when want, also Messi,Ronaldo, Modric, big part of top players were from poor or singleparents home...

    Ronaldinho assisted Messis first goal when Messi was like 16 or 17. That was the last clip of the video. Messi and Ronaldinho did play together for a season or so, when Messi was really starting to blossom, but it was only downward spiral for Ronaldinho from there.

    His career peak lasted very little, he didn't do a lot of numbers and statistics, he liked partying and enjoying life, that's the Brazilian spirit. He was the best of all, he helped Messi in his beginnings. There are several reports of him making impossible plays on and off the field, his control of the ball is alien

    "Backyard FIFA Street Activities" are exactly what you're watching. Bro came up in Brazilian favelas - basically, the hood.
    He developed his skills on the street and in a variant of the game called futsal. Futsal is played indoors, five per team, on a surface about the size of a basketball court. They show it briefly in the video.
    In one futsal match, his team won 23-nil. My man scored all 23 goals.
    He is nowhere near the best player of all time, but he is the most technically skilled player of the modern era. At his peak, it was joyous to watch him play.

    • @DizzyMakavelli
      @DizzyMakavelli Месяц назад

      Something like that.
      What happened was. Ronaldo was called Ronaldinho in Brazil. Ronaldinho came and he became Ronaldinho Gaucho.
      In Europe he was just Ronaldinho and later Ronaldo wasn't called Ronaldinho anymore even in Brazil because he was already a mature player.

  • @DizzyMakavelli
    @DizzyMakavelli Месяц назад

    Both Brazilian Ronaldos were called Ronaldinho by the main TV channel in Brazil. Ronaldinho was called Ronaldinho Gaucho.
    Later Ronaldo who was called Ronaldinho too became Ronaldo.
    So in the 2002 WC you had Ronaldinho and Ronaldinho Gaucho.
    In 2006 WC you had Ronaldo and Ronaldinho.
    Both are real Ronaldos. The Portuguese one is Cristiano Ronaldo.

    Love the appreciation for one of the very greatest players to ever grace the game. However, I'm not a fan of the video that was suggested to you. It's style over substance in my opinion. It's too quick cut to truly appreciate what he does and to understand the constellation within the match (even more impressive than in isolation, imo) and more importantly, it includes some meaningless marketing material. The third person shot is a choreographed ad and the crossbar Nike ad is simply CGI. Ronaldinho was a magician, but including shit like that is misleading to a newer football audience. Anyway, I enjoyed your reaction.
