Our First Two Weeks on Our New Homestead in Georgia!

- Well, we bought a homestead, and we know pretty much nothing about owning acreage, much less any farm animals. We're city folks who travelled for 14 months in an RV and now settled down on 12 acres in North Georgia. Here's a recap of our first couple weeks on our homestead.

It's called curly doc cause if you eat some every day you'll never have to go see a doctor. Cook it just like you would mustard or collard greens. The seeds will pop like popcorn if you heat em up in some oil or butter.
Congrats! We are in South Georgia near Tallahassee and may be about to buy 5 acres after 14 years in our house. Goal is to use the $200k equity we have to buy $75k land, build a carriage/guest house, pool, and shop hopefully all fully paid for and then build the main dwelling over time while residing in the guest house.

How many acres do you have?
We are closing on 2 acres and want to get started! I’d love to see a video on the build of your chick home and are you using a go pro for live video feed or just recording?
We’ll definitely post a video of their new mobile coop! Have all the footage, just need to put it together. And we don’t have a live feed, we just recorded some videos of them here and there with a GoPro.

Start slow so you don’t get overwhelmed. It can be daunting, but just do one thing at a time in order of priority. Good luck!
