These athletes make such a difference when they come and see these kids. My brother had cancer when he was 8. We lived in Chapel Hill and he was in UNC hospital for over a year. On Christmas Day 1994 Eric Montross (a Senior at the time) came to the children’s wing and spent over an hour talking and hanging out with my brother. That act meant the world to him and us.

no, Charles, that is NOT why you get to say whatever you want. it's because you have CHARM. you're one of the most likeable entertainment figures ever. tons of athletes say what is on their mind and tell the truth and are chastised by it. but you have the best combination of humility, ego, accomplishment, intellect, humor, sass, and charm that make people respect your opinion no matter what it is.

That's a great way to put it. And we know Chuck is way too humble in this kind of setting to talk about himself like that. Dude is a class act and if i could spend the day hanging out with one athlete/celeb, he'd be the guy without hesitation.

He's definitely charming, but what I think the audience appreciates more is that he's not a hypocrite. He dishes the dirt, but he's also not worried about taking it. You see a lot of famous people who can't even take a joke, and Charles can just sit there while everyone around him ribs him for everything from his weight to his acting career to the way he speaks, and he can take every ounce of it without complaining.

Hats off Mr, Charles Barkley Leeds Alabama is as he says not too much hope for a lot of people ever leaving there and attaining the position he has now. But to hear him say he never worked is Turrible He had to work hard at the game of basketball putting in the time and effort to aquire the set skills that it takes to enter into the NBA. Had Mr, Barkley not set his mind to the task at hand he would most certainly be still in Leeds Alabama living a life of just existing on the dreary jobs that there are in and around the same area. So in that perspective He worked hard enough to get away from the worst Possible outcomes that people face. You don't have to put yourself out Charles Your Working Hard Now To Help And Entertain People That Is A Great Job And Worthy Of Praise. Thank You Sir

It is so difficult for people who are wealthy/famous to comprehend what life is like for other people or to be genuine with the public. That is not intended as a knock against them, it's just reality. So many people wanting your time, so many people telling you you are awesome, and so many people who will screw you over if it will advance their career. It's what makes it so much more enjoyable when you encounter someone like Chuck. I had an uncle who had cancer and he was visited at his home for a very long time by a very famous basketball coach. Nobody asked the coach to go, it was only brought up in casual conversation by somebody who was parking his car. I will not reveal the coach's name because I don't think he would want that. It totally changed my perception of the coach. What he did is so far beyond what is expected or feasible.

Don’t always agree with Chuck but I admire that when he says something he stands behind it.

I’m to young to have grown up loving Sir. Charles play like did Kobe and Tracey McGrady. It’s personality and charm that brought me to his game. I just gotta say he’s in my top 5 athletes of all time that I love.

Great interviews. I would definitely like to see more like it. I noticed that your selection of people you've interviewed on your channel have been entertainers in some way (mostly sports). I would like to see you expand your demographic or selection of people to interview in more avenues of human success. Perhaps that can earn you more subscribers if you do (just a suggestion, not telling you what to do). I've subscribed so keep up the good work.

Interestingly ironic is the fact that the player who said that basketball players should't be role models may be actually the only one worth taking as a role model...

He seems like such a good guy and I LOVE his authenticity. I hear he developed a problem with the yips in his golf game. If he only knew that is fixable...it's usually about stuck smotional energy and once you move it out, the swing becomes fluid again!

I have to be blunt with this: Shaq may have the doctorate degree, but Chuck has the intellectual substance to show for.
Man, this is the reason why Chuck is my all-time fave. He is admirable both on and off the court for being holistically genuine and wise.
