I have a 2018 and so far, no complaints at all. It's been a very reliable vehicle----super miles per gallon, Zero Gravity seats comfortable on long trips, zippy around town, could use more power on the highway for merging, but once up to speed, no problem passing on interstates. Plenty of space for how small it is on the outside. These used to be a well kept secret for entry level crossovers, packed with features, low price----but they've caught on, and are selling quite well for Nissan. The redesigned 2025, due this Summer, is going to be a huge hit.
When you said how easy it is to put the tonneau cover back, I laughed because I bought one for my SV and installed it myself. It took me a while to figure out I had to slide it in on the right post first; then slide it on the left. Once you know that, it is easy. But you can't just stick it straight back and put it on. It won't go. Therefore, I knew you were going to struggle initially. You asked about gas mileage. I get great gas mileage, much better than Nissan claims, especially on the expressway. By the way, I love the generous sun visors. You mentioned the wonderful visor features, something I really love. They move to the side and there is an extension to help block the sun better. I need that feature on the expressway at 7 a.m. when the sun is low and shines through the driver's side window. I did not know the seatbelt adjusts. I have to try that. You should also tell viewers that there is a digital speedometer and many other nice digital readouts (such as tire pressure). It also tells you what song is playing on the radio. You keep saying that there are people out there this would be perfect for, so I guess you aren't one of them. I also disagree with you about the technology. The car is loaded with safety features and digital readouts (and all my sensors work well). The only thing it is missing is power seats and power hatch for the cargo area. And the cargo area is generous. It is one of the aspects that attracted me to the car. My only concern is the transmission, but only time will tell with that. Thus far the car has been fine.
this color combination in the exterior with volcanic gray and interior seats with light gray and black looks really premium for this vehicle, I wish Nissan had this combination for the new 2025 Kicks
You say towing is up to 1000 pounds----but Nissan doesn't recommend towing with the Kicks. I'm sure you can get away with bikes or something light weight. Towing 1000 pounds, especially in the mountains, would be very hard on the CVT and engine for that matter.
I have a 2018 and haven't had any issues yet. I think they've definitely improved the CVT since around 2016 or so. They're better than they were in the past.
Hey Tom....would you ever have any reservations about taking this vehicle on an expressway/freeway where the speed limits are above 65 mph and non stop driving with as small an engine that the Kicks has? I sure like this vehicle. Thanks. Kevin
Drove from Toronto to Quebec City ~800km (500mi) overnight (and back in a few days). No issues. Not as comfortable or powerful as my other car ( Infinity QX60) but great on gas, and driving in Quebec City on the small streets was much more comfortable :) Also, adaptive cruise control and line detection worked excellently to assist in a long trip.
Don't want electric windows, heated seats, screen, driver isn't supposed to be using arm rest. Both hands on the steering wheel, please. Please, no automatic locks. Just the horn on the steering wheel, please . More than I meed.

if you don't mind me asking as a new diver, would you recommend this vehicle? Any recommendations would be helpful
the nissan kicks cult is huge these days, but I love subcompact suvs/crossovers
Had a kicks as a rental for a day recently and I absolutely loved it!
Much prefer the 2024 over the redesigned 2025.
Gotta check the 2025 out. I have a 2020.
Yes of course & I'm going to buy this vehicle.

Well said!
Love the paint combination : gray and black

I think you should have clarified trim level when you said 28k price point. Nissan Kicks and Hyundai Venue are amazing cars for the price.
That information is given in the title of the video.
We are talking about practice in my Allen Iverson voice 💯😭🤣😂👍🏽
for $28000 dollars you might as well just get a base honda crv or toyota rav4
28k is there a markup on that vehicle.
The base model does not have heated seats right?
I have a 2024 Nissan SR and yes the seats heat & cool also it has bose speakers built in the head rest. It's cool
Somebody teach me how to drive and then buy me one 😂
Tell me about the transmission please. Is it fixed?

@@funktron4do we actually have to change the cvt oil
I would definitely change it and at 30,000-40,000 mile intervals, not 60K or more.

@@alexanderolena Ok....thanks...looks like a great vehicle for a single person like me with no kids...thanks for your help!!
@@kl1958 Actually, I was with my wife and two kids
28k? Here they are only asking 21-22k
I got my 2023 kicks s model completly brand new for $18,500.
Seeing what it offers 17 to 18k seems more reasonable
28.000 is 2 much!
I need to be able to sleep in it.
It’s a nice car, but I’m still buying a 20 year old Tacoma
😲
28k for a kicks that seems a little expensive

Just upset it is no four wheels drive
I had a 2016 Nissan Micra which was exactly that 😂
Mazda keeps on getting better i heard nissan is actually getting worse quality
Pretty plain Jane vehicle.
Not worth the price
Why gray? Why have all cars became gray like they are not dull enough already?
People want gray cars I’m confused by your question.
Gray just looks good lol
@@danbobway5656 like a good quality primer. Jokes aside, it looks good on some models.
Mine is white with black trim and looks awesome 👍
I love the interior because you can wipe it down.
Worst car I ever drove
This was 1 of the best cars i ever drove
