Apart from your super sketching skills. Its like watching someone else with my mindset. Late at night just wanting to play with paints. Each painting a little wonder but unsure if they hold the same feeling by a viewer. I totally agree with castleMc. Like a breath of fresh air. Stay true to what you like. If you just want to demo no problem. Let the painting depict the content with lovely narration, complemented with subtle music or sounds complementing how you are feeling during this time. The perfect blend. I understand the feeling of exposure. You are sharing with us snippets of your world. Dont be afraid to show this. Your honesty is charming. I have watched a few of your videos and already would love to own a small piece. Pegged up on a piece of string. I love it ! ❤❤

You are bringing a new and much needed off-beat aesthetic to the often formulaic world of YT watercolor. Having watched a few of your videos, my impression is that you are more about demonstrating ideas than teaching people techniques etc. Nothing wrong with that, but either way, I think you will find that viewers will want to know as much as possible about your materials, including the specific pigments/colors used in the paintings that you demonstrate. (Listing colors on screen as you do in this video seems like a good approach). Best wishes here on YT

I really appreciate it, thank you! I'm still trying to gauge what people want and don't want from videos like these, so this is fantastic feedback. Also, a part of it is Imposter Syndrome rearing its head and being like, "You're not an art expert! You don't get to teach people anything!" Which is silly. I'll definitely include all the materials in future videos.

@@boxesofsheepimposter syndrome has no place in your artistic heart! You are a wonderful artistic force of nature. Whatever route you decide to take your channel, I know I shall enjoy the journey. I receive so much as one of your viewers, yet it is you doing the hard part (very well I might add!). Do what makes you feel good, not what you feel others want from you. You already have a very strong following in a very short space of time. Think of your channel as purely yours, but with many pairs of eyes enjoying every paint stroke. You lift my spirits simply by being yourself, remember that as it is a rare talent to have in an increasingly fractious world. ❤️🎨🖌👩🏻‍🎨❤️

@@boxesofsheep I am glad my words were heard 😊 My weekend has been one of shirking my duties in sorting art supplies as moving home in two weeks. Shirking just a teeny bit is ok, right? 😂🥴🫣

Just came across your channel. You do some lovely art, nice to watch you paint actual subjects not endless swatching of the same products. If I have to watch another swatching of Kuretake or Daniel Smith or blah blah I will scream! I really enjoyed your painting of the bird and the sword, such a beautiful expression of something that carried meaning for you, it came through in the art. More please.

Hello! I am grateful I found your work and your meditations on art and life. I am fairly new to watercolor and recent;y realized I need larger brushes. What large flat brush do you use on the clouds? I have tried to see the brand and size but cannot find it. Thank you for each video..
