I loved watching how that golden croissant came together with such a variety of brush strokes and values.

The music in this really played with my feelings -- happy for the brightly colored pastry, sad that it's all alone, imagining it tanning on a beach in the early afternoon, rich but flaky... 😊
Those opposites of red and green were my favorite to watch, especially the varied textures. I'm usually not a fan of pinks and greens, but I've been drawn to acid green and salmon as a pair to try in my abode... probably because winter is around the corner, and those two hues are so alive.
It's interesting that a view of the middle cake in a red-green colorblind filter would yield colors close to what you painted last. It'd be fun to see you paint another red-green subject and next to it paint a yellow-blue twin version based on the olive and indigo one sees if red-green colorblind.

I absolutely love this loose style! It was interesting to watch where and how you applied the paint. Seeing your reference photos would be helpful too. I painted a croissant last week that looks just like the reference photo but I like your loose interpretation more. I really want to learn how to do this style of painting. Thanks for your video. I would love to see more.
