@@animusswtor4822 The director was recently announced to be directing Frieren so he might be busy for a bit, but I'd definitely expect a season 2 eventually. It was the 2nd highest selling anime of the year so I don't see why they wouldn't.

a lot of people overlook this, but when bocchis string snaps, she crouches down and immediately starts freaking out. usually, as shown in every other episode, inconveniences make her go off into her own world. however, she managed to immediately snap out of it and perform wonderfully after seeing how kita improvised on the spot for her. so simple, yet so beautiful. absolutely adore this show.

Bocchi The Rock is low-key the best thing I've watch this year. I didn't expect it to be hilarious that way! Hopefully we get a 2nd season with the same amount of love and dedication.
Bocchi The Rock is my favorite anime of last year, everything is so perfect, from the animation, art style, VA performances, music, hilarious weird comedic timing and strange animation, etc.
I'm not even kidding this is top 10 for me ever
The perfect final episode, to a perfect anime: The show starts with Bocchi getting the guitar from her dad and admiring it in front of the mirror and it parallel to that ends with Bocchi admiring her new guitar in front of the mirror again. FULL! F'ING! CIRCLE! BABY!

Bocchi the goat i absolutely loved it she's hilarious and her character development is just so good , the way they show anxiety was just perfect this one was truly a great Discovery of the year
Alright, this is probably gonna be the most weirdly specific comment you'll ever see, but this episode has my single favorite second in the show. What gets to me in their performance of "If I could be a constellation" (such a great song btw) is not Kita stepping up for Bocchi and doing her improv-solo, it's not Bocchi's bottleneck slide, but it's the single moment RIGHT AFTER Bocchi finishes her solo and you can still hear it fade in the background, Kita resumes singing with the words "Haruka Kanata" and the moment she hits that first "ka" Nijika hits the cymbals on her drums creating a kind of synergy that is just unmatched in the entire show and is just straight up eargasm-inducing. Why do I like it so much? I literally have no idea, to be honest, I just do, but goddamn do I think it's amazing.
Legendary onstage recovery. Doing stuff like that live one the spot is REALLY hard and the mark of a really good musician.
Bocchi is a real deal tough girl, she straight up belly flopped onto the hardwood floor from a decent height and took it like a champ, minus the getting knocked out part.
I love how far Bocchi has come, making strides through social anxiety and huge steps closer to her goals. Gotta love how supportive her friends and family are too, it really makes a big difference. I can't wait for season 2.
Roshi just needed the pink tracksuit and would've been perfect cosplay. I'm glad they enjoyed this show as much as they did, I also hope we get a S2 eventually, Bocchi really up there as a relatable character

Its an inside joke, Bocchi's manga is part of a genre that has a lot of cute girls as main characters, which is why his face is covered and we rarely see any male
A lot of the references in the anime come from the band Asian Kung-Fu Generation, like the names of all of the Kessoku Band members and the title of all the episodes “Rockn’ Roll, Morning Light Falls on You.” The final end song is even a cover of that song by Kessoku Band. And the main characters last names are the same last names as the corresponding members of Asian Kung-Fu Generation.
So the hair of the members of Kessoku Band are actually really telling. Both the bang weight and side ponytails. They relate to the band members introverted/extrovert-ness and their social awkwardness. Bocchi has a tiny ponytail on her right and heavy bangs meaning that she is a little introverted and extremely socially awkward. Kita has a small ponytail on her left and heavy bangs meaning she is extroverted but awkward and uncomfortable in her own skin. Ryo has light bangs and no ponytail meaning that she neutrally confident and introverted because she has those hairclips on her right. And Nijika has light bangs and a large ponytail on her left meaning she is confidently extroverted.
Btw Roshi, Asian Kung Fu Generation has one of the most iconic Naruto openings from the Chunin Exams: Haruka Kanata
The theme of this episode is "support" and that has constantly been one of the best parts about the show as a whole with how Bocchi's friends have been reacting to her anxiety episode, but I just wanna highlight Kita's chemistry with her here because I think those two together have the best dynamic in the story because they are the most similar in terms of their anxiety and understand what the other is worrying about and thus can (and have) genuinely support(ed) each other to bring out the best versions of themselves, and this doesn't stop even where the manga is right now and only gets better. So while Kita's crush on Ryou is more like an unhealthy obsession, her relationship with Bocchi is a wholesome one of mutual support and understanding, making it just a bit more compelling to me. I don't "ship" them or some useless stuff like that, but I do get why people would do so, especially after I watched the show like 7 times or something xD

If you are a fan of Asian Kungfu Generation, you will see the name of first episode "Lonely Rolling Bocchi" and the last episode "Morning Light Falls on You" are half of their song named "Rock'n Roll, Morning Light Falls on You". That's the song used for the ending of episode 12 which is covered by Bocchi's VA.

The scenes showing the school are supposed to show bocchi or everyone in her schools memory like the classroom, the library and even bocchi's hiding place, it makes ppl feels nostalgic of their high school years
Kita chan character development is so dope. At the beginning I really wonder when she will get any, in the end the budget is all for her and Bocchi. Bocchi the Rock made all characters are so loveable and Kita rise up the rankings really well.

Pretty sure we’ll be getting a second season considering how popular the show has been in Japan and the west. Especially now that it’s been winning awards as well. Easily ended up being my surprise favourite of the season
- When Bocchi had to use the can to play her guitar due to a string breaking was fantastic & reminded me of Chico Marx laying a piano with an apple it was amazing to see that happen
- Now this season of Bocchi the Rock was only the animated adaptation of the Manga chapters 1 - 21, but when they went to the Ishibashi Music there was a part cut out where Nijika was informed by the store attendant (voiced by Konomi Kohara) tells her that Seika use to work there & she came up nicknames for the sister with "Satan of Ochanomizu" for Seika & "Archangel of Shimokitazawa" for Nijika
- I love this series but besides K-On I can't help but think about other series like this one like Komi Can't Communicate, Hitomi Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu, & Senryu Girl

We already have enough materials for season 2. The thing is, there will be new bands introduced and that mean a new songs for them. So maybe they will take their time at least a year..

This was such a good show. Even now, months after it's ended, us fans still can't let go of it. It's a fantastic anime. Unlike so many stories with socially anxious introverts as main characters, the show never condemns or makes fun of Bocchi's condition; it's her reactions and personality that are funny. And that is why a lot of us just resonate with this show so much.
If you're looking for another amazing anime that looks like "cute girls doing cute things", but is so much more as the story actually progresses, and the characters are fantastic, might I recommend "A Place Further than the Universe". Not sure if you've actually reacted to this one yet, but I think you'll love watching this. It's the #1 anime of all time for me, tied with Bocchi.

Loved this show so damn much it should be illegal! Came out of nowhere and imo was the most enjoyable show of the year. Loved watching Bocchi grow and become more confident. Like watching midoriya come into his own but in a different way. So damn proud of Bocchi and this studio for killing it!

I heard the team that worked in bocchi, is now working on my dress up darling season 2, so we have to wait a little bit longer
the current season adapted around 22 chapters (0-21), and is about a 1 3/4 volume, there are 5 volumes out now about 60+ chapters, so there is definitely enough source material for 2 more season and based on how the studio and animators expand on a lot of stuff in the anime compared to the manga, we might get more than we thought, bocchi sweeeeep
Yez the manga has enough stuff for another season. Bocchi and Kita became classmates the next school year, Bocchi ended up having a rival and the band experienced new things and finally, the backstory of Seika and Nijika, why Nijika chose drums and why Seika named the live house Starry. 🌟
They kind of talked over it but I think they missed the scene with Kita staring through the window after the infirmary visit showing just how much she's looked at Bocchi even before they "met"

Bocchi really Bocch'd hard even while her guitar wasn't working properly. The level of Bocch'd is unparalleled to anything level of spectacularity mankind has to offer.

They only adpated to like chapter 22 or so of the manga, first volume and a half. Right now the fifth volume came out in Japan recently and it's around 60 chapters published. WIth how big it has been kind of everywhere, Japan and internationally, I'd kind of be shocked if it didn't at least get another season at some point.
