I know it is a joke but Akane has no way to assume reincarnation. At best she will assume Aqua was aware of the life of Goro Amamiya and that he was supposed to help Ai give birth, so he was curious about his whereabouts. She may even find out that the guy that killed Ai is the same guy that killed him. But there is no reason to think of reincarnation

My hope is that someday, Ruby can reconcile her feelings for Senpei/Aqua with the fact that it is not romantic love, but rather familial love (a father-daughter relationship). Her romance with Aqua is a very awkward transitional step to the realization that because she had never had a father in both her first and second life, she had never understood that the relationship with Aqua in their past lives was that he stood in for a father. He only humored her because it was unlikely she would make it to 16 in the first place. Someday, she'll understand that she misunderstood because she is a child, find someone who is truly a good person for her romantic affections, and grow to understand and cherish a familial, non-romantic relationship with Aqua as once-father, now-brother, always-platonic-friend. I have always stood by the opinion that if Akasaka Aka was to give ONK a happy ending, the AquaRuby pairing shouldn't be canonical. The memes are funny and all, but it would definitely leave a sour taste in a lot of people's mouths because the "source" of Ruby's love for Gorou is inherently not romantic. People get kinda weirded out by the age gap section, but you have to realize, she's a girl who died at 12, who had no one around her but her Doctor. You're bound to have less-than-normal emotions in those extreme circumstances. I struggle to judge her for them because of that. People should be more understanding as well.
