Back in the 80's i thought they were a horrible idea. Now, of course, I love my C16 and Plus/4. I think if the Plus/4 was marketed as a replacement and upgrade to the PET series, not any upgrade from the C64 it may have seen a bit more success.

I have a Plus 4 and still think it's a dodo, but, I like the better colors and better BASIC, I just feel Commodore could have focused on a C65 much earlier instead of wasting time on the Plus 4. Oh well.

A harsh review, yet the plus/4 remains one of my favourite computers.

Don't take it to heart (:. Despite my "bad moves" points, there were also positives about the machines. The built-in BASIC was very good and the sound and graphics were quite adequate. As I said in the video, I liked them better than I thought I would despite all the highly negative reviews I'd read.

I had a plus/4. The built in business applications were horrendous and I wonder if anyone used them. Some of the games were okay though. I really liked one called Icicle Works, and I remember the Fire Ant and Treasure Island games you were playing. Looking back, I wish I had a Commodore 64 instead.

Same! Dad came home with a plus/4 and we used to pick up games out the back of a car boot at sales fairs etc. One of my earliest memories was them having stayed up all night finishing Fire Ant and Treasure Island. Apple hasn't fallen far from the tree

Agree. The charcoal colour is very attractive.

saying bad move is stupid .. it was all new in those days .. all moves were good moves!

Err.. No. Just because a product is new, doesn't make it the right fit for the market,

the market was tiny in comparison to today everything was new .. it worked for some
