8:25 Granted, it's only the soldiers that are like that. Civil Protection is comprised of entirely normal human beings, or at worst humans with light augmentation.
Most definitely normal humans. I don’t believe the Combine Overwatch would bother outfitting their basic fodder with potentially valuable augmentations, no matter how light.
2:16 Armored headcrabs don't armor the host body. 4:38 None of the Xen plant life is hostile or grabs you (only barnacles do that). 4:56 None of the fumes are harmful in game and are only hinted at being potentially dangerous. 11:48 Pretty sure the apartments aren't actually in the Vault. Its more likely caused by the Gman in some way. He manipulates reality...explaining the topsy-turvy building structures as you progress to his cell.
In HL: A, both Civil Protection and Overwatch were fully human, the only reason why their face looks different is because the mask was sticking onto their face, and when taken off would damage their skin and possibly kill them. This is the same with the Zombine, since the mask is sticking on the Combine's face, when the headcrab is killed and comes off the Zombine you will see the Headcrab ripped off the Combine's head, only the jaw remained. While in HL: 2 only Civil Protection was human.
I would always remember only Freeman from Morgan Freeman's name and whenever anyone said Gordon Freeman I would always think of Morgan and always think "Wait... There's no way they put Freeman in this game".
This reminds me that Half Life, Left for Dead, and Portal are connected in the same universe. Aliens invading the city, the infestation of the aliens turn humanity into zombies, and mutated monsters, and then humanity decided to live underground with advance technology, but their main computer “GLADOS” betrayed her creator.
Civil protection are unmodified, grunts aren't as modified as combine soldier, as they do have more human conversations (ex. Stop kicking that). However the extent of modifications of grunts aren't known, they are likely modified in some way but no or little brain modifications.
7:11 that isn’t usually what they look like, since you can see on other corpses that, despite not having ears and hair, still retain a normal human head shape. It is likely that that soldier was killed by a poison headcrab or something similar.
He would have been killed by another combine solider after he would have "turned" as the headcrabs dont kill the host tbey "control" them. In half life 2 the headcrab jumps of to grab another host if the current is dead.
At 8:09 Did you realize the The guys who drove Alex before they were killed are actually willing participants of the combine without any technology They’re known as the metro cops
Small correction. At 8:10, you show Civil Protection officers having a conversation when talking about how Combine soldiers sometimes talk to each other normally. Civil Protection and Combine soldiers are not at all the same. Metropolice are normal humans working for the Combine Empire, whole Combine soldiers are altered and changed to a point where they aren’t human.
SPOILERS: 8:09 While the soldiers in Alyx act more human than in HL2, it's important to understand the difference between soldiers and metrocops. What you depict in this scene, are metrocops, People who volunteered to join civil protection in exchange for better living conditions and sexual simulations. Little more than low ranking grunts to the combine. Transhuman soldiers are combineified humans augmented and disfigured to serve the combine and are the beefier ones you see in the game with automatic weapons and overwatch pulse rifles. A better scene to show here would be the "Overwatch says stop kicking it scene" near the semi-dead strider just after you take down the Vault.
Civil protection have normal conversations because they're unmodded humans. They can rebel against the combine. Barney even served as a spy among the ranks of the civil protection. And since when are poison headcrab agile...
7:36 That fact is wrong where you say "The more capable humans were made into soldiers". They didn't take anyone forcefully and turn them into soldiers, all of it was free will to join. 7:10 That's the after effect of an poisonous head crab if I am correct. That isn't because their face was removed. 8:20 Metrocops or metropolice are normal humans who joined the combine willingly.
The Zombie In The Zoo Is A Father Of A Daughter That Drew The Tiger, While Working At The Zoo He Got Snatched By A Headcrab And Asked Her Daughter To Run, Instead, She Dies By Combine
The lightning dog can actually make sense on how they take control of corpses. Muscles rely on electricity to move. So you could be used by them easily.
When he was talking about the combine he got something wrong. The ones in the van that gets destroyed is the Civil Protection. Who are mase up of non augmented humans usualy taking up this protection job under the idea of better food and housing.
More like moments that make Ravenholm look pleasant… also there’s a much creepier image of an unmasked Grunt that show his eyes were removed and replaced with wires to connect to the mask.
The cybernetic modifications only applies to the combine soldiers. The civil protection soldiers or metro cops are 100% human

I didn’t even know Jeff was in the elevator with me when he was lmao
7:11 that isn’t usually what they look like, since you can see on other corpses that, despite not having ears and hair, still retain a normal human head shape. It is likely that that soldier was killed by a poison headcrab or something similar.
He would have been killed by another combine solider after he would have "turned" as the headcrabs dont kill the host tbey "control" them. In half life 2 the headcrab jumps of to grab another host if the current is dead.
Constantin Marin Yeah true, just saying a poison headcrab probably did that since the neurotoxin and such likely deformed the head.
G-man doesn't work for an unknown party, he IS the unknown party.
The apartment building wasn’t “sucked up”. They found G man in the apartment building and built the vault around it
At 8:09 Did you realize the The guys who drove Alex before they were killed are actually willing participants of the combine without any technology They’re known as the metro cops
I know it's supposed to be scary, but trying to kill the headcrab with the door was hilarious
Am I weird for finding the normal headcrab kinda cute?
Yessss they look like uncooked turkeys-
Metro Floody yes as in I’m weird or yes as in you agree?
@@iamthemeguyhere I agree they look kinda cute :3
Small correction. At 8:10, you show Civil Protection officers having a conversation when talking about how Combine soldiers sometimes talk to each other normally. Civil Protection and Combine soldiers are not at all the same. Metropolice are normal humans working for the Combine Empire, whole Combine soldiers are altered and changed to a point where they aren’t human.
SPOILERS:
8:09 While the soldiers in Alyx act more human than in HL2, it's important to understand the difference between soldiers and metrocops.
SuperHorrorBro: These are the creepiest moments in Half Life: Alyx!
*names every single creature in the game*
Those head crabs scared me in the half life remake black Mesa.
When you see what happens to Jeff: it doesn’t matter what universe you’re from that’s gotta hurt
Civil protection have normal conversations because they're unmodded humans. They can rebel against the combine. Barney even served as a spy among the ranks of the civil protection.
And since when are poison headcrab agile...
The way you described the headcrabs....head suckers....listen to that without any visuals. Only the two words...just stating how funny it is to me.
The combine soldiers remind me of of the helghast soldiers from killzone
6:29 "avobe anithing else" pun intended?
the best part is that it isn't a horror game
7:36 That fact is wrong where you say "The more capable humans were made into soldiers". They didn't take anyone forcefully and turn them into soldiers, all of it was free will to join.
7:10 That's the after effect of an poisonous head crab if I am correct. That isn't because their face was removed.
8:20 Metrocops or metropolice are normal humans who joined the combine willingly.

I feel like that zombie at the zoo pointing at that picture has some humanity left
Valve never disapoints
barnacles are easy to deal with bring a freaking boot or a box all the time
wait but i thought entering a room full of explosives was supposed to be the fun part not the creepy part
Hes kicking it
Overwatch says stop kicking it
He stop kicking it
Most impressive part of Jeff is scenes with him in it scare you even when you aren't playing the game.
The Zombie In The Zoo Is A Father Of A Daughter That Drew The Tiger, While Working At The Zoo He Got Snatched By A Headcrab And Asked Her Daughter To Run, Instead, She Dies By Combine
Barnacles? Wdym? All I see are ropes. That 'barnacle' section is wrong. Ropes can be used to cross big pits.
The lightning dog can actually make sense on how they take control of corpses. Muscles rely on electricity to move. So you could be used by them easily.
personally playing halflife 2 is scarier the second time then the first
Yo the part where you need to not knock bottles jeff looks like a human scag
We get to grab a dead headcrab and we can pet it and take it with us as our friend
Half-life:Alxy is basically a Horror game but with Armed Pillows with Gas Masks
When he was talking about the combine he got something wrong. The ones in the van that gets destroyed is the Civil Protection. Who are mase up of non augmented humans usualy taking up this protection job under the idea of better food and housing.
Hmm ok nice video
More like moments that make Ravenholm look pleasant… also there’s a much creepier image of an unmasked Grunt that show his eyes were removed and replaced with wires to connect to the mask.
