      I know right. Grevious was supposed to be their fearless leader, the head of the army, the top fighter that the droids had who has made himself infamous throughout the galaxy by slaying dozens of jedi, and what does he do? Flee from the battle as soon when the tide turns against him.

    THIS is what made Order 66 hurt so much to think about. The majority of Clones were good, honest, brave, and kind men who wanted to do their best to serve the Jedi (Even when monsters like Pong Krell were manipulating them). Hevy was 100% adamant about sacrificing himself to keep the base from falling into the wrong hands.
    Too bad the whole war was one cruel puppet-show.

    This is why I love the clone wars. The clone troopers were not just red shirts, in this show. But they were men who had a purpose. A purpose, which men and women in our universe have to do as well. Defend their homes, countries, and families from intruders. These soldiers even though they were animated showed the viewers, what soldiers have to do in order to win. That could even mean sacrificing yourself like heavy did.

      The real masterful part of The Clone Wars show was to make the 'mooks', the faceless, interchangable clone troopers individuals, each with their own natures. You came to understand that these were men, not organic droids; thus you felt their deaths quite keenly and it made knowing what they would do at Sideous's bidding all the harder to handle.

      @alansilvero 7 лет назад +1

      Why is it exactly bad? I'm planning to watch

    • @Swirox
      @Swirox 7 лет назад +7

      There's a lot of ways to see it, people that say it's a bad show, like me, say so because have watched The Clone Wars. In reality, it isnt a terrible show, the thing is, it's not remotely as good as TCW and that's a huge disappointment. Main reasons are:
      As disney owns it and it appears on disneyxd channel, it is aimed for the younger generations, which means childish script and stories, little real action and predictable outcomings (no matter what mess the characters get into they always find a way out of it with a bare scratch, as with the cliche's movies and series where you know they almost never kill off or "damage" any significant character).
      Then there's the animation style, which kind of got polished as the series advanced, but always had and still have a childish look to it, drawing away your attention in any "serious" scene. There's also some specific things and cases , one of them being the lightsabers, which a lot of people dont like, beause they are way too thin, they tried to recreate the ot lightsabers type but went too far and created glowing toothpicks.
      TCW as it developed it got darker and darker, the animation of the show got much better, scripts and stories told got much better and deeper. However with Rebels, even though i cant deny the existance of that process going on, its happening way slower. We are almost at season 4 and there's barely a few truly great episodes, which btw are the ones related to characters that were developed really well in TCW, not rebels(like ahsoka and anakin(vader), rex, obi wan and darth maul). It's as if disney isnt doing much of an effort to make of rebels a great show as tcw was. Hell, even tho Disney is freakin huge and important, they direct a lower budget for rebels than tcw had, resulting, obviously, in a bunch of poorer aspects.
      There's also the fact that there was some new episodes of season 7 of TCW in the making and the entire season 7 planned ,which was to take place along revenge of the sith in the timeline, making it the most important of them all, because it would close up all the prequels. But instead of allowing lucasfilms to finish it, disney cancelled it so that they could start their own show with their own "rules" and purpose, Rebels.
      There's a lot of other stuff to mention but it's not like disney would read this and take it into consideration so i find spending a lot of time to keep writing a more big, proper and detailed argumentation of why it is bad, pointless.
      Watch it if you want, i'm planning to watch it all too anyway, bc i want keep up with the canon story in which i am really interested, and even tho i hate disney for what they did, the past cannot be changed and all i can do at this point is give them a chance now and hope they start to make things right.
