Man! You make me miss my TD-30 module. I got allured by the Digital Pads and sold my TD-30 to get a TD-50 (now X). I may end up being on the lookout for a used one down the road and get an extra snare from Drum-Tec to swap every once in while to play the TD-30 again.
Hey Jorge, that sounds good :-D actually I am also still using a TD-30 in my studio on a drum-tec pro kit, triggering sample libraries through midi.
It's a great module I think, but well one day I'll have to switch because the VH-14D and CY-18DR are such great cymbals. Kind regards!

Hey guys, the TD-30 has a very different sound engine than the current Roland modules, so it wouldn't be possible to get these sounds onto a TD-17 module for example. But have you checked out the drum-tec Sound Editions for the TD-17 yet:

The snares in the td-30 sounds way, way better than in the td-50. Strange, but obvious.
You are right, I guess that's why Roland included several TD-30 sounds in the TD-50X upgrade :-D kind regards!
