    • @chetthehoss
      @chetthehoss 6 лет назад

      It should be Eco, not Echo. Did you talk to someone officially from Ford, or someone from that dealership? Tell them that you'll start saying "EchoBoost" to refer to their engines.

    • @CarConfections
      @CarConfections  6 лет назад +1

      I'm with you 100%! Unfortunately, it was Ford corporate that specified that they want it called EchoSport, and that is indeed how they are pronouncing it in the TV ads I've seen recently!

    I bought one used, yesterday. Only 9000 miles on it, the SES package, in copper paint. So far, I totally love it. Showed a friend and his wife after we got off work tonight, and she fell in love. I will be the only passenger 95% of the time, so this is a perfect size for me. I am going to look into getting a spare tire added to the cargo door though. I am just down the road from this dealership, but I found mine in Louisville. Looking forward to using this as a weekend getaway ride for camping, hiking, and hopefully hunting.

    Small correction: The steering wheel tilts AND telescopes. Just need to use your upper body strength. Also the back up camera guidelines ARE dynamic when you turn the wheel. Lastly, with the use of the plastic shelf behind the rear seats, you make the storage flat. This makes the car seem poorly designed. I would recommend you do a bit more homework before stating facts to your viewers.

  • @loganknighten
    @loganknighten 6 лет назад +4

    I know this is a bit late, but paddles come standard on the SES trim, the only trim you can get them on, I was surprised when I first saw them, but I have seen Escapes' with them before. I wanna say it was a SEL with the sport appearance package. Im considering trading in my 2016 Focus SE sedan for an SES in Canyon Ridge. Nice review by the way. *edit* Forgot to mention the the 'Echo' sport has been on sale in Europe and other developing countries since 2001. It was refreshed for the 2018 model year, and brought to North America as part of Ford's global car plan, which explains why it is pronounced 'Echo' and not 'Eco'. I had to look into it cause it was driving me insane.

    • @maryhazlett

      Was planning to mention that as my comment since I just bought the SES last week.

    • @bongodave13

      Side note: It seems the paddle shifters for the SES only came on the '18 models, and they dropped them in '19. The later SES models have buttons on the shifter like every other model.

    Great Review as always. Although, I gotta say, while I can see that ford definitely put it's signature on the vehicle, I still feel the ever present vibes of Buick and Chevy with their Trax and Encore, both of which I wouldn't look twice at if I were in the market. I would take a second look at this one, but only because I'm sure it's much more quicker than the Honda HR-V. But even then, I would seek to get the highest trim and available upgrades.

    • @briangts470
      @briangts470 6 лет назад +1

      22Kevi its the other way around...the ecosport was the first one in the segment globally (2004)...chevy built the trax to compete against the ecosport so we could say there is some ecosport vibes in the chevy trax.

      Yeah, Brian, I suppose. Thanks for sharing that bit of info with me. My sister has a Trax. It is has some cute elements, and it's not a bad car, but it's definitely not something I would choose, even if I would on a budget.
