Partially agree. Steve Smith is the better version of Steve Waugh. Like Steve Waugh or Border (in never throwing his wicket away) but with more ability. Kohli is a lot like Ponting (may be equal, may be slightly better). Williamson is the slightly worse version of Tendulkar. ABD is a lot like Viv. Hazelwood is the somewhat worse version of McGrath. Yes, we do not magical cricketers like Akram, Lara and Warne but those are magical cricketers not born everyday.
As sheer testament to his bowling, people often forget that he was a very good lower order batsman. Those shots would have made the greatest of southpaws wait and admire them for a moment.
Wasim would've made as a great all-rounder only if he could've managed to focus some more on batting but I think he and management would've thought that it may affect his bowling since he's a complete showstopper as a bowler🔥 Nevertheless Akram's swing deliveries are feast to the eyes 👌
