I would use the Rock Hill Situation against the Panthers, if I was a NC politician. I would low ball them, claiming that Tepper wants to rip-off the state. Then, file for eminent domain during the season or evict the Panthers 8 weeks into the season to embarrass the league. Tepper is a very rich person. Force him into a situation where he has to open his pockets. Also, Missouri, Utah, Texas governors to do the same to Tepper. No money equals no stadium A nice reality check for rich owners
Keep in mind the location of this headquarters for the team was being built in SC. I believe NC would hold Tepper to the terms of any agreement. Still didn’t make sense to build down there anyway.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t work in reality. There is always another city enticed by the idea of having a pro that they are willing to give in to the demands of a billionaire owner.
This one is easy. I can tell you what happened; if this project cost $2 Billion, with the Panthers terrible stadium situation, it’s best to invest that 💵 into a new stadium. Hell, $2 Billion, you could build a NEW stadium.
Clevelands not relocating lol and their lease runs through 2028, and Jax runs through 2030, you should check the stadium leases before u just throw random facts out there
I’m going to keep it real, everyone in North Carolina was wondering why they would build it down in South Carolina, because as it is we don’t like traveling down to SC as it is. I believe it would have taken about 20 mins from uptown Charlotte (where the stadium is located) and no one wanted it built there. Also, the filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy wasn’t because he went broke with the failed HQ but to help him with legal matters.
Take Note Here Sub Carolina: Failure, is exactly what happens when SOUTH (sub) Carolina attempts to take something from NORTH (Primary) CAROLINA. Especially a pro sport franchise of any kind, does not matter which one it might be. Puhleease! What a joke!😂 Dynamite 🧨

If they couldn’t pay for the Rock Hill location, how are they supposed to afford a rebuild?
They won't. The tax payers will pay for it.
😞😞😞😞😞
The city of rockhill couldn’t afford….not the panthers
My aunt lives in rock hill ,SC down from northwestern high school.

Waste of money for something not completed
Educate your self on sunk cost fallacies dude

Exactly.
@@Dweller415that’s not a good spot for a stadium.

Carolina panthers never made a parking lot for the fans.
Looked amazing

They could’ve built it in concord
@@clarenceanderson9959 that’s what we all thought at first, but either the town doesn’t have money or the team didn’t find the area attractive.
NY Giants/Jets stadium is in New Jersey
should build another stadium
They could play in Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh (NC State) while the stadium is being renovated.

Finish it and make it condos.
Finish it and make it condos.
That's unfortunate
$2 billion for that? Granted it’s nice but not $2 billion ‘nice’.
