I don’t think you would have to spend that much more. I’m also hearing rumors that it could be 2046 before you get another stadium? 21+ years?
I don’t get all these new stadiums and renovations. The current stadium is fine. Why do Americans need giant video boards, social areas and other gimmicks to stimulate themselves at a sporting event? I’m a Liverpool FC fan and our stadium Anfield is 140 years old, has no video boards, you can’t drink and watch the game in the stands, there’s very few luxury boxes, no gimmicks, and our only renovations have been made to modernise and keep expanding capacity to fit more people in as the ticket demand is extremely high. Do Americans actually just find their sports boring? I’ve been to 17 MLB parks and didn’t need all the stadium extras. Why is it so important to this generation of “sports fans”

Reference the stadium I’ve been there for several games and the fact remains there is absolutely no place to tailgate as there is in say Cleveland at the muni lot. Remember when they were first awarded the franchise it was to be called theCAROLINA panthers. The stadium needs to be located some where around Rockhill SC for ample parking and tailgating instead of down town Charlotte
Amen!
@@laradolinger5324 thank you
Add a translucent roof
Except roofs on stadium suck ...
there is NO room around that stadium to do much
u think that, the city will make space
This is pretty underwhelming for that amount of money. The location is perfect, but they really need to go all out and just start from scratch.
It does look a little underwhelming, but I dont see the issue with the hollowed out upper deck, seems fine to me. Especially as a fan in the stadium seems like a nice open air section to enjoy.
That aqua color is very garish for the renderings for the stadium.
FTR, the Panthers use "Process Blue"
@@DanTarrant1 Looks more teal in the renderings than it does on the Panthers current uniforms.
More than likely it's going to get approved
Why do the local taxpayers have to pay for any of this? Looks like the spoiled billionaire who owns the teams can pay. The taxpayers should at least get the same proportion of equity in the teams as they contribute to renovation or a new stadium.
At least it won't have a dome. If only we could get natural grass back.
Spend money to watch them lose. The owner is a clown........
North Carolina is a big state don't understand why they having trouble. There areas like south area of Charlotte west Charlotte
What's the point of outside video boards?
wonder if they'll go back to natural grass? 1.3B waste if not
LMAO.....Glad they aren't getting my money
Who is your favorite team? I guarantee your tax dollars ID going to your favorite
Nope. Bad move in renovating this place.
its not Carolina FC its Charlotte FC. the team started playing in 1995.
you're so fixated on domed & translucent roof stadiums and shit, every team in the NFL don't need it
This is a very underwhelming renovation, it's not worth $1.3 billion, they minus well just build a new stadium. They need something like Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta where it's retractable.
🤦♂️🤦♂️ here we go 🤦♂️
Where are you getting 1.4B?? The closest I've seen is 800 million lol
It's probably because of the stadium is so outdated
You got to think about labor costs materials how long is it going to take
@@andrebailey6676 Yeah but every article I saw is saying $800 million or $650 million
@@Hydra48 it could be probably more than that do you know that's the same 1.4 in case in overtures in case it goes over that estimate that's an estimated I think 650 to 800 million
@@Hydra48 but because this stadium is so dependent it probably is going to be around 1:4billion you got to think about how many years this stadium hasn't had a renovation
Davide Tepper vs Rock Hill lol
So they have a lot of structural a lot of different things to fix
Nowhere to park why not move to the outskirts make sense 🙄
What for? The team sucks and will suck for years to come. Waste of money.
Just build a new stadium lmaoooooooooooo
What a waste of money
Only 2 Comments Bro Fell Off
Lol that was just when he released the videos. I had no worries this would get a bunch of views quick.
You should've believed in bro. Next time, just say "first".
The owner is real cheap.. the stadium began build in 93-94
Waste of money I tell you when the team is not even a winning team. I love the Panthers but their leadership is trash.
1.4b FOR WHAT nothing ,????
This video smells like farts
Typical David tepper lame renovation lame owner
Why they suck so bad who gonna watch them anyway except for concert the stadium will look so empty except from fans of other teams coming to watch carliona losses like pittsbrugh Steelers fans can't wait to beat you'll next time by 45 points
Build a 🆕 75k - 85k stadium 🏟️ with a retractable roof
All This For $1.4 *Billion* … 🦬 Is Getting A 🆕 Stadium For $1.8 *Billion* … Why Not Build A 🆕 Stadium?
BOA stadium is in an excellent location. I’m excited about this renovation. Football and soccer is meant to be outside. I’m glad they don’t have a roof. The weather in the Carolinas is good and the skyline view is awesome.
Yes so it is going to be 1.4 billion dollars it will be $650 million from the city and 680 million from David tepper
I’m here in Charlotte AND NO ONE WANTS THIS! We want an indoor stadium!
If that happens, lets be real, homie, the entire city and potentially state of North Carolina would have to kick in a billi, at least.
At least with those option, like Jax, it's affordable for a community.
🤨
No, we don’t!
@@CCNC-bz9gu they’ve done news stories years ago asking people and the majority wanted an indoor stadium, not just for football for other yearly events.
@@maxkeebs4425 for $2 billion, you mine as well build a new stadium.
Carolina Panthers should look somewhere else like Greensboro or Raleigh. Most of the stadiums aren't in the teams city name ex Dallas plays in Arlington, San Francisco plays in Sana Clara, Chicago might go to different town, New York teams plays in New Jersey , Washington plays in Maryland,
Stop . You didn’t mention that they used taxpayers money to do the renovation. Stop funding the NFL with taxpayer money.
This is interesting…. For that price tag it should be damn near a new stadium. In contrast the jags deal is 1.2 billion and it’s actually a partial rebuild and it’s being stripped down to the concrete and completely redone, without a need for an entirely new stadium. I agree this is a band aid because they are talking about building a new one eventually also right ?
Me personally I like it I don’t care what depressed ginger thinks about my stadium
I hear you there
@@marclucas9701 who’s your team ?
@@joshuahilton3718 Dolphins NFL Florida Panthers NHL
@@marclucas9701I will say this. I think next time Miami comes knocking for a new stadium..the tax payers better be ready or else the Dolphins will relocate..NFL ain't playing
