Honestly, that was one of the best/most beautiful pieces of Steven Universe fan art/animation that I have ever seen. Good job. I hope to see more like it in the future.
A very lovely story, told through a remarkable style. The fact that it's all black and white storyboard-like drawings is a very interesting method. The music was also well chosen for the scenes, especially that final bit. I love how you showed Peridot's experiences on Earth. From that funny thumb's up to actually having fun at the party. She experiences that all herself: an alien learning to appreciate the simplicities of an unfamiliar world. But despite all this, she's still alone and away from her true home, and you can't help but feel sorry for her. Hope, of course, comes in the form of Steven, who invites her into his "universe". The last images, showing Peridot, Lapis, and all of the Crystal Gems with Steven was very moving, and that last image of the setting sun was the perfect closing shot. Great job, and good luck with your other drawings.
I really, really love this. Not only is the story clear and touching[made me genuinely tear up], But it all seems like it would be very plausible as the show's actual storyline. I hope they do something like this.
Did anyone else love how at the end Peridot's hair was long and flowing at the end. No longer diamond shaped like it was when she worked under Tue diamond authority. Her hair changed to a more human style, when she accepted humanity as a good cause to fight for.

I do think Peridot becoming a full on crystal gem seems out of place. However given Steven's desire for Peridot to be good and his tendency to be nice to her, as well as Peridot's seemingly less harsh attitude towards him as opposed to the other gems, it's quite possible that we are building towards the two of them becoming somewhat friends or coming to some sort of truce. But I don't think that would extend to how the other gems feel about her unless maybe Peridot proved herself in some way.
Still kind of a fun storyboard even if we are getting such an arc for peridot, compared to homeworld's seeming lack of empathy for other forms of organic life or even their own kind in the form of forced fusion experiments it would almost seem humans have achieved relative cultural superiority in a frighteningly short period of time, such that uncontrolled but sapient constructs taking a human form would probably be immensely impacted.

You, sir or madam, have an INCREDIBLE sense of visual storytelling. You have a very good understanding of how to create a narrative with meaningful imagery. You cut to the chase and are poignant while remaining true to the source material. This could legitimately be a real SU episode. Props and thensome.
I can genuinely see this coming from Rebecca Sugar herself, and I sincerely hope that something like this is on the horizon. However, sadly it wouldn't simply be a matter of Peridot changing her mind about the Earth. Ruby and Sapphire completely fell apart when Pearl took fusion lightly during the Sardonyx Steven Bomb; Peridot on the other hand has gone far far beyond that. Not only has Homeworld spat on the very notion of fusion, but Peridot has personally overseen the desecration and forced fusion of dead Crystal Gems. It is going to take a hell of a lot more than a simple "I'm sorry, I was wrong" from Peridot to see her integrate into the Crystal Gems :(

I don't think she had any part in making them, or if she even realizes the shards are desperately trying to reform a consciousness. This was really well made, I enjoyed every second. I really do want to see a redemption arc for Peridot too... And I hope it will be just like this ;-)
I love the unspoken "fuck Jasper." But in all seriousness, I think it would have been better off ending with just Peridot at the beach. When we get the front view of her, we can tell she's undergone dramatic change. The fact that she's in human garb and bearing the star symbol (and isn't dead) shows that things went over pretty well with the Crystal Gems, and has been able to integrate with Earth pretty well. But she looks shaken, and uncertain about how to reflect on her journey and what the future holds. But then having all the gems gathering around to signify that they're all such good friends feels like oversimplifying the development Peridot's had. Throwing in Lapis out of nowhere just feels like trying to hard to tie up loose ends.
yes peridot used to be different. until she was left behind. But she changes because of a close friend. They both need friendship, they will heal together. All she is fighting for is revenge, she does not know why, but she will understand why she changed, she is known as her close friend.
This is amazing. I can see this happening. The only in-realistic thing would probably be the cookie cat foot box. And maybe Lapis, unless the Malachite issue is resolved.
Oh yeah. She is now becomeing a, how you say, more friendly. She has now sort of made friends with Steven and has become adorable. I wonder how the future will be. Maybe she will be a crystal gem? Probaly not though.
This video is awesome. I guess I never really thought what kind of dynamic she could bring if she joined the team. Pearl and Garnet chose to abandon Homeworld, and Steven and Amethyst have never seen it. Peridot is stranded and far away from everything she's ever known. Like Pearl in Space Race but more intense:

I really like the idea of peridot getting help from people off earth and questioning what she is doing.it would be a great story arc to see peridot truly finding herself and finding out more about her past and true desires.

This has single handedly persuaded me that a Peridot redemption arc wouldn't be a bad thing.
oh my gosh. I love this!!!!! I would love for this to happen and the music choice is spot on. THIS IS PERFECT! I imagine there lines in a new extended intro if they do join the crystal gems and if they make a new extended intro with them in it, Lapis's line would be: "I will fight against the world that imprisoned me, for several thousand years" and Peridot's would be "I will fight against the world that treated me wrong in several ways" and then maybe Connie could be considered a crystal gem too! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME! I LOVE THIS! THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! keep up the good work! :D

Very Deep. Great work. Love the new look Peridot gets. It really felt like an proper episode. It would be really heartwarming to see her perform a Heel-Face turn. Hope they don´t see true art as angsty and give us a bittersweet ending.

This was really well made, I enjoyed every second. I really do want to see a redemption arc for Peridot too... And I hope it will be just like this ;-)

But in all seriousness, I think it would have been better off ending with just Peridot at the beach. When we get the front view of her, we can tell she's undergone dramatic change. The fact that she's in human garb and bearing the star symbol (and isn't dead) shows that things went over pretty well with the Crystal Gems, and has been able to integrate with Earth pretty well. But she looks shaken, and uncertain about how to reflect on her journey and what the future holds. But then having all the gems gathering around to signify that they're all such good friends feels like oversimplifying the development Peridot's had. Throwing in Lapis out of nowhere just feels like trying to hard to tie up loose ends.
I like how when Peridot was having those flash backs, she conveniently didn't remember the part when she was screaming "DIE DIE DIE" to the CGs :^ )
yes peridot used to be different. until she was left behind. But she changes because of a close friend. They both need friendship, they will heal together. All she is fighting for is revenge, she does not know why, but she will understand why she changed, she is known as her close friend.

This video is awesome. I guess I never really thought what kind of dynamic she could bring if she joined the team. Pearl and Garnet chose to abandon Homeworld, and Steven and Amethyst have never seen it. Peridot is stranded and far away from everything she's ever known. Like Pearl in Space Race but more intense:
