I like how you point out that sometimes we still believe the mind. I now see moments when I’m still believing the mind. One minute attention is in presence, yet there is a small commentary going on in the background, which seems innocent and harmless then it subtly becomes the recalling the past or fear of the future. And then it builds intensity and attention unexpectedly shifts to those thoughts, feelings, sensations, and emotions which are believed in, until there is a noticing that the past is present again. It happens so quickly and it seems believable. I also see that this pattern or habit keeps going back and forth between presence and past. Believed in and let go of.
