@@Alfredo_M98 I designate one area for gathering and another for crafting. I run gathering routes in one area where I take the gathering speed boost and I hold all my stuff in another area where I increase storage and take other boosts that benefit trade.
Great video. As a returning player... I'm just going to take my time and enjoy the levelling process - even if it takes weeks. Don't care. Just want to slow down and chill.
Definitely enjoy it! They made the leveling process about 1/3 of what it was at release. So it took about 40 hours to hit max level but you should be able to easily do it in about 15 hours.
"Don't rush to max level" is so important. The audio-visual design of the game is probably it's strongest selling point, and taking some time to just run around the world exploring and collecting materials is such a nice break from grinding levels or weapon mastery.
One thing to remember is that you can change what weapons and trade skills you are currently doing --- one character CAN do all of them. Think of it more as picking which you focus on in the beginning economy. The biggest advice I have is to try each and every weapon early in the game and don't be afraid to dink around with odd combos. It can be a lot of fun to wear a new look including weapons while your out doing a gathering run or just goofing off.
Definitely this. Trying builds in the early game is much easier than doing it later in the game when you get set in a build. Having said that, I love the fact that you can just decide one day you're done playing a mellee build and go all in on ranged DPS pretty easily.
I am brand new and I plan on just fully exploring and enjoying the mining and harvesting as I go. I want to enjoy the view and just find any hidden things that could be out there. Secondly, this is the first MMO my son is now old enough to play with me. He is very excited to quest together
I did about 3.5k hours on purely PvE only, then transitioned into PvP for the last 1k additionally put into the game. I WISH i had started PvP from day one. It is fun, so for people who are worrysome about PvP, dont be, relax, dont take losses personally. As frustrating as it can be sometimes, it does become fun as long as you remember its just a game. Also the PvP track gives you some cool rewards.
Just play music, You can choose what boost you want be it Luck, extra resources whilst farming, territory standing (+30% for playing excellent) etc. I have a territory standing boost active constantly whilst playing, only takes a minute to play some songs and the boosts can last up to 90 minutes
I snicker when I realize how SAD it is that you actually have to remind people that playing games is SUPPOSED to be for having fun, not a job. BTW...TYVM for the tip on not taking the XP boost over storage etc.
Neat video for sure! Any advice for a returning player who hasn’t played since launch? I had a blast during the beta and have been jumping on a couple of times on my old lvl 60 character, but I feel a bit overwhelmed with what to do and how to do it.
I agree with others here. Start a new character. The story has been tweaked so much that it's borderline a new story. It is difficult to jump back on old characters anyways since so much has changed with gear progression
Oh man, there are so many. If you're talking similar in gameplay I would say Skyrim or any of the Elder Scrolls games. Elden Ring is similar and it's an amazing game and honestly I spent more time on YT watching lore videos than I did playing that game and I have close to 200 hours in that game. BG3 and Divinity Original Sin are great for the story. And the Witcher series is good too.
I'm not necessarily saying you should pick exp as a perk... but I do think that exp perk applies to weapon xp too, so if there's a zone you like to farm weapon xp in you could make an argument that it's worth putting points in xp in that particular zone to cut down on the grind.
Valid point but I still feel that there is a fall off on gain there. Eventually the weapon you want to improve is maxed and then that perk is useless. If it's in a region you never intend to use, just dump all experience into that zone and call it good lol
Isn’t it territory experience not character? I like the trading tax one personally but early on if you can make it easier to level up your territory, you can get those upgrades faster.
The game can be solo to max gear easily but I recommend To check every seasonal Event they will provide expensive item But also get the dlc to not be blocked at 60 and staying a walking peasant
@@TanjonaRafidison Yeah I have the dlc. I’m max level with 700gs. I just got bored with the lack of content. I’m going to restart on a cross server and go slowish. I don’t want to rush and burn out.
There are separate ones for territory xp and character xp. Take the territory one because there are 300 territory standing levels. Getting to character level 65 takes like maybe 2 days at most
Territory experience isn't awful but I don't like that one either. I would lean towards anything other than experience gain. For character and territory
@@BraidedZero That’s awesome, I’m a new player waiting for the Oct. 15th console release. My friends don’t enjoy PvP very much so I’m trying to learn about the various PvE modes we could play together. Appreciate the reply!
Regions will get invaded occasionally. You have to be a part of the same faction as the company that owns the area to participate but you should be able to participate as long as you're a high enough level. For PvE activities you have more reliable things like expeditions, chest runs, and raids though
@@BraidedZero Sorry this is wrong, anyone can sign up for an invasion in an area, even if you are a different faction. I have participated in over 500 invasions.
Remove aim lock please and add fine tune settings for sensitivity and movement like fortnights settings and the finals settings. This is a mmo these are a must Copy and paste this please hopefully it will help.
@@BraidedZero it went down really fast the same way it will in November. New games come out and the same players that are undergear having fun will get melted by players with better gear. Opr and arenas will be cross server... Lots of fun facing my main with full perks and bis. Plus expeditions isn't the focus, it will be raids, and like the worm, raids will be too hard for casuals.
I think the reason there is a need for cross server play now on legacy servers is because of a lack of player base. From my understanding all current servers will be made legacy servers and cross play is between those servers. The new servers (fresh start) are called standard servers and they are there own thing. Fresh start players are in their own biome. You cannot transfer your character into these servers and everything is between these servers. So PvP should be a level playing field. Hopefully they have enough content to keep people around this time. I think the reason we had such a big dropp off initially is because people got to the endgame and realized it's just chest runs and raising your watermark.
@@BraidedZero crossplay is between all servers that play in pc. There's exclusive servers for ps5 and exclusive for xbox. They never mentioned if those console only are excluded from crossplay in opr arenas or expeditions. Either way console will suffer the same fate, empty servers after the hype. According to the update AGS pushed out on the 26th, there will be both. Legacy servers are PC only because it's all the old servers upon release. The new servers are standard and it will be both options; Playstation only servers, Xbox only servers, and then servers that are for everyone. This allows someone on PC to make a new character with an Xbox friend or PS5 friend. Their current plans are to keep these servers in their own universe and not merge them or allow cross server play. We shall see though.
