The last video, from the last adventure in 2023...the day started rainy but with a cool new discovery, followed by an empty, unpromising drive across Missouri to a worryingly dry spot in Kansas where I expected to completely strike out finding anything...only for the trip to finish out with one of the best reptiles in the region.

Beautiful turtle and snake. I am following mostly eastern herpers, so timbers are a mainstay species. They are still rare, but because they know where to find them, they seem common in the videos.
