This is very good exercise for kitesurfers and windsurfers in particular, to practice your wrong foot forward because we get locations where to surf front side often means wrong side. Going wrong side is very good brain exercise, too.

Great, I feel the same way, good cross training. Next level nerdy, find a bank, film yourself simulating foil turns, analyze video and work on style. And finally...find a pump track. Super fun and great exercise and skill transfer

Looks like a great spot to wingskate. I never go anywhere without my Carver keeps me in surf shape. Super fun skating with the dog too. Be careful it's super addictive like foiling

Good progress and something to do if no wind for foiling after a while you will be looking for sliding wheels then its great fun controlin the slides

You're modest. Already some good moves for a 3 week-old practice. Which brand and model is it?

It's from a UK brand called 'two bare feet'. Not sure there is a model name - just the length (31") and that it has their 360 front truck, not the standard front truck. Only £65!!!! I'm not sponsored ;-)

What's your opinion on compressing and extending to pump, and how it relates to foil pumping? I've always wondered if a proper Carver pump that combines this with a shoulder zig zag could be used to generate speed on a foil. ruclips.net/video/uRZMWVOs4EA/видео.html

I was really relating the surfskate to training for turns rather than for pumping a foil. I've tried the surfskate zig zag on a foil and it's impossible to use this method to generate and maintain speed when on flat water - you need the downward/upward movement to generate the necessary lift. the surfskate zigzag movement is great for practicing what I call 'S' turns when foiling swell or a wave, and of course for those surf style carves

@@dominichoskyns9091 see what you're saying. Simple zig-zag will not generate lift. I was rather referring to the compressing and forward knee, hip and arm thrust explained in the link I posted. It seems to match exactly one of the pumping techniques you explained in one of your other videos. If that works effeciently, then combine with a longer S Carve motion. Guess I'll just need to get that dusty Carver out...

Your pivot cup is squeaky. Take it apart and chuck in some paraffin wax shavings. That'll sort it.
