- For my first video of 2015, I wanted to share with you a kind of personal letter I wrote to my younger self a while back in hopes that the advice it contains can help some of you. I know this video is different from the kind of content I normally post on this channel, but I really enjoyed making it & I hope you enjoy watching it just as much!

but all of these youtubers .... they are successful, and...happy... Unfortunately we cannot all live a life like that... With a part time job that makes them happy and doesnt stress them. They have fulfilled their dreams in such a young age.... And then i watch videos like this one telling me to chase my dreams making me feel like i have to do something with my life because im bored.. Im sick of living in a routine and in a life where we are always prepearing for when we get older.. we go to school for idk how many years studying your ass out prepearing to get in a good college to pay and again study to eventually try to find a job a lot of the times irrelevant to what you have been studying for like a waiter or smthing to make some money to eat etc and survive and then go to sleep and the next day wake up in your boring and stressful routine once again.... Thats what you have been prepearing yourself for all your life.... so when do you actually LIVE?

I understand where your coming from when you say, we spend all our time as students studying for our 'dream' but half the things we do arnt appropriate but as we do those things, we learn and it may seem pointless now but you never know when you might need 'pointless' skills okay I know some stuff isn't important but most stuff actually is.
Your right Many youtubers have fulfilled there dream at such a young age and most of us watching are still waiting for our moment which is why people like Jenn are trying to make us realise that we can achieve our dreams
We start to live when we start to aim for our dreams
Anything is possible and if your not happy with how your life is going then it can be changed it may not be easy but it's worth it as long as you follow your dream:)

Hey Nasia, I know how you feel, I have been through this phase of my life.
I could not stop thinking abou how only a select group of people seem to be able to truly live their life. But with so many things in life, this is a paradox from 2 sides.
At one side, youtubers are also JUST PEOPLE and you obviously see the fun part of their life like their videos and trips they make, but they are also sad, mad or depressed sometimes, you just do not see that often or never (just like Facebook).
That is so beautiful about this video, it shows Jenn's totally human side, a side that also has problems and a side that thinks about where to go with life.
On the other side, saying you just go to college, study, get a job, work, retire and die IS A LIMITATION YOU PUT ON YOURSELF! Stop thinking like this, it can be very hard and you need to get through this many times in life, wondering what you really want. But KEEP DREAMING, KEEP INSPIRING like Jenn says. Go out and enjoy the world. If you think it is stupid to study for something you do not like: Stop right now and build your life from scratch!

I’ve had this video saved in my favorites for 9 years. It was one of the many videos on youtube back when this platform was entirely different that inspired me to go to school for media editing, and had me fully engulfed in RUclips/media culture. Once a year I go through my favorites, and always rewatch this one specifically. I was 18 when this was posted. It’s this weird feeling of nostalgia, but different than what I feel reflecting on my child years. I’m 27 now. I would give anything to go back.

Whoa that was deep. I like these types of videos way better. Let the flashbacks begin. Some RUclipsr I use to watch Had Funny Fridays and Serious Sundays. I'm not saying do that but I like the serious videos and I wish you posted them more often but like you said in the video go with your gut it has never steered you wrong from what I've seen.

I'm sorry. I'm always mind blown when parents let their kids move out at 16-17 to a place like LA!?! Like my parents won't let me sleep over at a friends house without meeting my friend's parents first. Not only that but fly across the country, go to parties in LA, and just so many things that my parents and I'm sure a lot others would say "HELL NO" to. I think it's cool when I see RUclipsrs moving out so young and doing their thing. I'm just always blown away that their parents allowed them.
Some parents are more strict than others. It all depends on what kind of bond you have with your parents.

A video has never giving me chills, opened my heart and mind, made me sad and happy all at the same time. I am 16 now, and i realize that everything you said is true. I am going through a weird and difficult point in my life. I don't know what exactly i want to be( or i do, but i don't know if its realistic). I don't know why i am posting my life story here I doubt you'll read it. I would just like to say thanks for sharing and posting this video. It will help me a lot.
